I finally managed to beat the story mode once with a pretty boring sword and board build, and at this point don't plan to go back to it. The devs are obviously way more focused on whatever PoE2 is. I'll get back to them when the release the new expansion (later this year?), but agree you still need a guide for anything above normal mode, and the story in the last expansion is threadbare at best.

I agree, I remember thinking T2 was a bit too long, too big, too much (and I've not bothered with III or the weird MMO-ish thing).

In my quest to find all the old ARPGs I used to own back before Steam was a thing, I picked up Torchlight and Torchlight II for less than $7 during the Steam Spring sale. Torchlight is still as charming as ever.

Finished my re-read of The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. These books are incredible. Please read them. I'm also mostly finished reading They Called Us Enemy by George Takai, and damn I should have read this years ago.

I'm just at the other side of Sins of Sinister (my library is real slow to get the collected comics out on Hoopla), so I know there's more to catch up on, but yeah, I agree that going back to the old status quo is going to be real hard. Is Magneto going to stay dead? What will they do with Arakko? What about Krakoa himself? What about Xavier, and Legion, and and and --

The gratuitous nudity is eye-roll inducing - every body, even the woman who has had 4 kids in 20 years, is high and tight with no stretch marks and shaved pubes, even in the dystopian future. There's also the bog standard "He doesn't tell anyone anything until he dies". I will probably not bother with the rest.

Read 20th Century Men by Deniz Camp. It was pretty good for 4 issues. Then it went off the rails and tried to do too much at once and suddenly did weird things with time and completely shit the bed.

Not sure what they mean by free to play, but it is on sale on Steam half off and there's a demo/trial I may check to see if this old machine can run it.
