Weirdly enough, Daniel Bryan jobbing clean to Bray Wyatt was the best-booked thing of the night. It was a perfect set-up. Keeps Bray strong for the Cena feud. Gives Bryan odds to overcome when he wins the Rumble. Gives Bryan a built in first feud after mania, especially if he wins the belt. Then... BATISTA.

The Republicans were against the expansion of slavery, and would have abolished slavery entirely if they had the votes, but they could never have pushed it through Congress or dreamed about doing it prewar. Watch Lincoln(its not without hollywood "polishing") and you can see that even after four years of war Congress could barely pass the antislavery amendments. Slavery would have eventually died out, but it could have been extended alot longer. . . I'm aware of all that, and it doesn't contradict what I said at all. The election of Lincoln and the growing tide of abolitionist thought in the North was they main reason the south seceded. Had they not, slavery would have limped on longer than it did in this country, but the tide was against it, and they acted when they had the will of the people, scared by the election of Lincoln, to do so. There were other reasons, but the key was slavery, and any statement otherwise is full of shit, and doesn't match up to the contemporary record at all.

Orton is just fucking done as a main event guy. Crowds coast to coast now want nothing to do with his matches.

Chants I think I heard during the title match: "This is awful" "We want refunds" "We want divas" "3MB"

This was terrible. The crowd wants nothing to do with Batista. Nothing. Stone Cold could have come out at 30 and gotten booed.

Some positives: Bryan/Wyatt was damn good. The first 2/3s of the rumble itself were okay. The crowd may be enough to make Vince at least consider a direction change. Negatives: Cena/Orton was a travesty of wrestling. NAO actually won clean. The rest of the rumble. The direction of this company. If we really do end up with Orton/Tista... It's gonna get booed out of the Superdome.

I saw the trailer for it in front of 4 or 5 different movies this past year, so I knew it was a movie. Couldn't figure out any reason anyone would go see it, though... And nobody did. That third place Friday? Finished SIXTH for the weekend. Ride Along did another 21 million, and Frozen, in it's 10th weekend, finished 4th with about 9 million. It's about 11 million behind Despicable Me 2 for highest grossing animated film of 2013.

Abolitionist viewpoints may have still been a minority view when Lincoln won, but they were growing fast in the North, and had been ever since Harper's Ferry (the extremist argument: It was no longer radical to support abolition, now it was radical to kill for it) and a strong abolitionist from the party that back abolition did win the presidency. The South could see the writing on the wall, that the *ahem* "peculiar institution" *ahem* was headed to the dustbin of history, and that is, beyond any historical debate, the main cause of the secession. Hell, the will of the Southern populace started to crack about the same time they started offering freedom to slaves who fought in the confederate army, undercutting the "it's their natural place and they are happy" bullshit argument.

Lee was fantastic in the movie. Bond is after the chip Lee stole, but doesn't know about the sun laser thing until Lee lies him in by kidnapping Mary Goodnight. Intentionally letting Bond to his island lair to test against another great killer.

That's not totally fair. Boldin had a very good season, and it's no coincidence that Kap played better as Crabtree got healthier.

Except, he then goes through with it quite willingly after killing the girl. Golden Gun might be the exact demarcation line between good and bad Bond.

60's music movie kick. Watched Not Fade Away last night. Mediocre movie, great performances and songs. Gandolfini was spectacular. Watched Nowhere Boy tonight. Really good movie. Now Stoned

Hey, if they want to do a callback to a 2012 Bryan/Sheamus match, I'd much prefer the 2/3 falls match than the title switch.
