  1. THE BEAST (dir. Bertrand Bonello) Also, this https://www.rogerebert.com/mzs/megalopolis-coppola-cannes In yet another of the money travails in the career of Francis Coppola (remember that even Dracula was done for profit), nobody wants to buy Megalopolis. The saying goes that "what's the point of having money if you can't spend it". Why can't any of these rich fucks get behind that? I guess they would just tell me "the point of making money is to make more money" instead and take a limo back to their yacht. (Don't see how A24 wouldn't pick it up though if they have the cash, so it'll probably be their loss.)
  2. I can see him totally inserting his foot with a comment on how that was drugs instead, not realizing the instant comeback is "well they had to take drugs because..." Which results in him saying "well I didn't take drugs" and it turns into a serious argument. It would be funny if anybody in the press pool had a brain and a set of balls/ovaries.

  4. They don't care. They're a vacuum. They consume anything wrestling-related in sight if doesn't make them hack it back up.
  5. Now that's the spirit! Go for the gusto, take 'em for ALL the box sets, then get the ones that aren't on the box sets!
  6. No wonder he doesn't want to sign up with a fed where one of their top guys is happy to flame war with him on Twitter
  7. After thinking about it a bit more, I have one more thing to say, and that's that I kinda do like that they showed the footage just because it's a finger in Punk's eye. He brought up the shit again after all this time, they hit back the only way they could and at least are using it to further an angle, instead of further an argument. It's not as bad a way to handle the situation as it could be.
  8. I immediately thought of Big E when the "masculine men" thing was quoted on air. Right now I'm thinking about him saying it in that voice and laughing his ass off with everyone.
  9. He wasn't about the grind UNTIL he got about the WWE Grind. Cause that's the only grind that matters.
  10. ...yes. Yes, it is also a good idea. Unnecessary but very very good.
  11. Any argument that nobody knows the Stardom gals and we need like an '80s style clipfest of matches set to "Maniac" from Flashdance to introduce somebody is missing the fact that they're posting on the Internet and that's where you find out about these things nowadays instead. I was disappointed in Joe's scaredy-eyes at the end there. He should just look mad. Real real mad.
  12. Well, I guess points for stealing the "look at his face" gag from Black Mass?
  13. Anybody have a pic of Taurus in his new gear? All I could find was this photo of a man who very well may have the face of Roman Reigns: Goddamn that's a big forehead.
  14. Might be best to just look at the Jericho thing as a rite of passage for any up and comer coming along in AEW, kind of like Hook having a Kane feud. Or a Miz feud.
  15. This is extra amusing to me because I could have just sent along the Hechicero match I watched last night on my phone
  16. Seth? That toadie isn't saying anything that may displease The Massssssssssster. And do either of those have guys have connections to Ospreay? You want to feel old, start a job where the 17 year-old kids working with more responsibility than you still can't handle alcohol purchased by supermarket customers. Re: the chickenhawk thing, Edge was probably thinking of this guy
  17. Elsalvajeloco you just made me finally look up what the term 'half and half' means, thanks! "WHAT IS HIS DEAL" and "I LIKE YOUR NECKLACE" from Shibata's phone Not quite hitting on Renee ("I LIKE YOUR DRESS" would have went there) but a friendly comment verging on it makes it funnier. Shibata as the odd-man-out in six mans is a fun use of him. It kind of sucks that this had to have an angle attached to it because otherwise it would have been much better. As for the other New Japan guy, how long has it been since Okada worked a squash, if ever? Wonder if Argento is a fan of Argento. Got my "corner of the room CCTV footage" shot! No B&W, but no sound; perfect. This "fight" looked way lamer than I imagined and really it is just a big 'who cares' to me. I don't see why there is reason to moan about it from them or us. I don't watch this shit for interpromotional drama and who is shook and who is right and who is whatever, I watch the wrestling for the wrestling. I could question AEW using this to try and heat up an ice-cold title match, but that would be treating it like it matters, and if I did I would be giving it far more relevance than any of it deserves. CM Punk ain't living rent free in my head. (Meanwhile, you know who took backstage bullshit and make it work for him? Will Ospreay, who slaughtered a promo, threw some poo back at HHH, underlined the importance of his PPV match, and sounded more verbally coherent than ever before... in five minutes.) Mariah ("Double-Chop Jones!" - Taz) and Anna had a fine match that the crowd was kinda deceptively into, they'd get real quiet but then be real loud all of the sudden. Dunno why the heat sounded so inconsistent. Somebody gotta find the Taz/Goldust match that's floating around out there for us.
  18. New Vendetta: The Dunkin' Donuts (you're never gonna be just Dunkin', folks) "gimme gimme some" commercial with that cloying, atrocious honking music
  19. It'd be great to see Shaun again, maybe with an audience this time. I don't remember it being the laff riot I imagine it'll be this time around.
  20. My problem tonight is not checking the board before I get home. Grrrrrr
