  1. Biff is still the man. I love that guy. I have to go see Third Eye Blind tonight but I'll be watching that shit on demand for sure
  2. I can't speak badly on the Rock because he's the only guy who ever ripped off Scott Hall's punches and didn't make them look like butt
  3. I've mentioned this before (about Nattie) but my girlfriend heard me playing as Bam Bam in 2k19, and she was like "My MOM was from Asbury Park!!" and now she's always checking his shit on YouTube and the network. Proud.
  4. Paul E and Joel Gertner are probably the only folks who would disagree with you. I didn't watch but once Bischoff's in I'll give it a shot. I'm very happy for Murphy though. The last 2 maybe 3 house shows I went to he tore it up, including a match last year with Cedric Alexander that was for real one of the best I've ever seen live
  5. I didn't watch but have enjoyed catching the highlights, and might try the whole show next week. Three hours is a lot even if it's a freakin great show-- that's something they can't just hire their way out of unfortunately.
  6. That top secret movie: a gritty Thunder in Paradise reboot. Time is a flat circle
  7. Man on the one hand, if I'm Impact, MLW, AEW, etc. the last thing I want is to be the "WWE castoff" company scooping up every single guy that gets released like it's FSN-era TNA. On the other, if Rhyno is a free agent and you're not signing him, major F you.
  8. I thought AEW was owned by the Jags not the Pats
  9. ALREADY they're gonna be on TV. Unless Heyman and Bischoff come out and say "Other than my comments here, you will not see me. But know that I am in charge. What you see every (Monday/Tuesday) night is my vision for (Raw/SD!). Enjoy" then I already consider it more of the same bullshit where it's the god damn Muppet Show except it's about trying to run a wrestling show instead of the vaudeville stuff. That's probably my biggest complaint when I say why I finally quit the main shows after WM. So fucking much of the main roster TV is just a show about putting on a wrestling show. Even going back years and years when things weren't half bad. "Tonight in this very ring..." or "Tag team match, playa" I mean Jesus Christ what were you gonna do if the other dudes didn't storm out there angrily? We were all gonna just hang out and watch Lugz commercials til 11? That's why literally every other current wrestling program I watch from NXT to 205 to AEW to NJPW to whatever indie stuff I find online feels so much god damn fresher: they're just wrestling shows. Not shows about running a wrestling show, just a wrestling show. I realized I said GD and JC a lot in that. I apologize for my use of religious iconography.
  10. That's where I'm at too. I've been 205/NXT only with WWE since WM, but I'll still give it a shot at least because that's my favorite era too.
  11. There's no way he wasn't. Bischoff loves bikes. Remember Chuck Zito and the HA coming out with the NWO on Nitro? He also did a horrible "reality" show a few years ago (with who else but that butt head Jason Hervey) that followed a "biker club" that wasn't really a biker club because they weren't outlaw 1%ers and were like, into doing charity work or something, but then they still ran an angle about concern with one of the guys' wives or girlfriend's being an LEO. It was dogshit.
  12. The world ended in 2012. We sacrificed Macho Man for nothing.
  13. For real. Heat this thing up a little with some of that sweet Clash/WMIV action. I'm sure it'll do better than Oceans 13 or Law and Order or whatever they were going to run.
  14. I will also be checking that match out. I was just saying I wanted EC3 and Roode as a team, and Cesaro elevates everything he's involved in.
  15. Bret told the story with the moves dude. His gimmick was entirely being the best at doing moves. He was literally called the excellence of execution. Damn Nate's got me on block
  16. I blame those two RVD vs Jerry Lynn matches. I'm only partly kidding.
  17. Jesus, I haven't thought about Scott Keith in years. I think you hit the nail on the head with the Twitter thing. It was such a weird situation back then where you had guys trying to have "personality" on this still-sorta-infant internet. Obviously RSPW and things like that sort of pre-date me, and I didn't start coming here til high school, but as a middle school/early high school kid I was real into SK, Scotsman, The Rick, Chris Hyatte. That dude Eric S. on 411 who was like the first person I ever saw talk openly about mental health stuff really anywhere. I still never figured out if Hyatte getting catfished by someone pretending to be Trish Stratus was real.
  18. I just read that too in the BR article and if it isn't working, that's pretty crappy. Like, "Syxx couldn't cut the mustard" levels of dickery. Austin took his ball and went home, so did Punk, Neville, Sasha whoever else. Moxley stayed the whole length of his deal and just went to play ball with other kids who don't make up shitty rules as they go along.
  19. Fair point, I see your perspective. Maybe I was kinda reading some subtext that wasn't really there.
  20. Not saying I agree with it, but I guess I could kind of understand that perspective because the company itself has been the "heel" since about 1998 or so. Which is for sure part of a larger creative issue.
  21. Whoops I misspoke but kinda didnt. It's the Nirvana riff but my understanding was that Jimmy Hart or someone said the lead over the top is from That Smell.
