  1. I don't personally do it but there could be a few reasons. It is cheaper, for one, since even if you tip its likely less than if you sat down and you likely can drink cheaper at home (plus less temptation to get appitizers, desserts, etc). I used to do takeout from restaurants for an elderly woman I helped, it was a lot of hassle for her to get out of the house due to her health but she still wanted the food, so takeout was the best option. As long as it isn't too far away, the food shouldn't be cold. I live in a bigger city so there are a lot of restaurants within five miles of me, I think as long as you're home within ten minutes and it was put in something that would keep it warm, you should be ok. I mean I have pizza and chinese delivered and its always still hot when it gets here. I do agree that its preferable to sit down in the restaurant to get it as fresh as possible, but I assume people that do takeout have some reason or another.
  2. As a fan of a team that will likely be battling for the #6 seed in the AFC, I would like for the Steelers to lose every game without Big Ben. If this is possible.
  3. Sendai Girls' big event will be streaming uh 'live' if you know where to look, I am interested to see the show and see how the crowd reacted to it all. Still sad about Syuri and Shida losing but I can understand it.
  4. I'm excited about the show, but can we just put "spoilers" in the title so the thread isn't 100 spoiler boxes up to the event?
  5. I'll agree the digital cards are dumb, I like having cards I can hold and organize on my shelf. I remember when they first did it with eTopps a decade ago and I thought it was silly then. I have a box of the next WWE box for pre-order, it is being released 11/2 I think. Just one box this time. I also ordered a box of WWE Slam Attax, my first of those boxes, so that will be exciting.
  6. I have to give Shane credit for the one at the last WM, that was likely the most dangerous spot since the Foley/Taker HIAC. Very little room for error on that jump.
  7. I think part of it is, I never get takeout from sit-down restaurants. Its either "carry out" at a pizza place or like those cheap but tasty Chinese places. If I ordered takeout from a nice sit-down restaurant I'd probably give a few bucks.
  8. I know that gets mentioned quite a bit, but I am not really sold on any events/results happening now being because of a possible WWE Women's Classic. First, as Kana showed, just because one is going to WWE doesn't mean the wrestler has to lose their belts on the way out. Many wrestlers have had planned retirements (Sachiko, Mio, Kyoko upcoming) or left and the belts were just vacated, it doesn't seem to be a priority most of the time. Second, unless wrestlers like Nakajima and Satomura have already signed to join WWE, it doesn't make any sense to be dropping titles this early since at best the tournament is still in the hypothetical stage. I believe if the tournament takes place some Joshi wrestlers will certainly be going and some will likely get signed since NXT needs talented women wrestlers right now, I just doubt the owner of Sendai Girls' is dropping her title in October because she may wrestle in a tournament in six months since I don't think she'd need to drop her title for that. Unless talks are further along than has leaked anywhere, it would just seem to be too early to base results around something that still isn't set.
  9. I'll believe the UFC until they say otherwise, they are generally right when it comes to fighters trying to get out of contracts.
  10. I tend to over-tip, because my dad was a delivery driver for years so I know how little he made and how much he depended on tips. I also know how many people give $15 on an order of $14.33 and ask for change. For carryout/pick-up though I tend to not tip anything. I just don't see it as them doing anything tip-worthy, and cashiers (I am not even sure who keeps the tip in those cases) are paid a normal minimum wage and don't depend on it like delivery drivers and waiters. While I agree the whole system is silly, I think people would revolt is prices went up 20% all of a sudden so I don't think it is something that will ever change. I also don't under-tip for things that aren't the waiter's fault, but even if the waiter sucks I tend not to tip below 15%. They say the thing to do if a waiter is terrible is to talk to management, as low tips likely don't matter to people that suck at their job and hate it anyway.
  11. I am surprised that Hashimoto pinned Satomura so early, after them not building it up at all (in terms of her picking up even one singles win against a mid-tier wrestler or higher). My only thought is that Satomura knows she is a draw on her own and doesn't need the belt, but still seems too soon. Will be interesting to see if she suddenly is mowing over people or if its a short-ish reign. On a side note I just found this for sale and really want it. Extremely hard to find items signed by all three, and its a DVD from I think their first show promoted together. But its also $85.
  12. Oh goodie, this is the 'flag everything on every defensive play' referee crew. This will be a fun game.
  13. I think I lasted longer than usual this year. I am satisfied. Also, fuck Pittsburgh.
  14. I think even if Bellator isn't interested in doing PPV, they would for a GSP one-off (or two-off) if the situation arises. Stack a card the best they can, try to get some interest. I can't imagine a scenario that Bellator would have GSP on free TV, I agree that there isn't any way they'd make their money back on it. I'd be curious if they did a PPV with GSP, Chael, Tito, and a freak show legend fight with old popular names what kind of buyrate they could get. Wouldn't touch the top of UFC of course but it would probably do better than one would expect if they marketed it correctly. Course I don't expect GSP to ever fight anywhere except UFC but its still fun to think about.
  15. You may not want to remove it from the box before the game just in case he doesn't throw any.
  16. They should put Asuka in it just to give Rovert a heart attack.
  17. Oh man. In the DVDVR league, I played my brother last week. Going into Monday night he needed one point and had a defender. At first they gave the defender three points, but he got stat corrected down to one point, so I lost by like .5 points. But today sometime they added a tackle to one of my players from Sunday, so I ended up winning by .5 points. The recap even still says that I lost, which shows how late the correction went through. I don't think I've ever won a game by such a late stat correction.
  18. Or 2014. I don't need berries for that, my memory goes back two years on its own It had some episode to episode continuity but still had each episode have its own story as well. I thought that formula worked better. I still enjoy the show, I just watch South Park more for humor than deep storylines, just a personal preference.
  19. A few episodes in and I can't say I am a fan of this season. I am starting to really miss the old days of each episode just being the boys getting into some weird and funny situation. I think I laughed twice that entire episode, they are putting more effort into telling a long term story than making each episode funny by itself. Last season, the payoff wasn't really worth the season build-up, even though it did have a few really funny individual episodes. They've always had social commentary in their episodes, and I have no issue with that, they just seem to be laying it on extra thick so far this year at the expense of being a comedy.
  20. I think the bigger news is that in a few months he will be an unrestricted free agent if he wants to, when before he was locked into a long term contract that he didn't want to be in anymore. They are playing him because now there is no long term financial risk to them if he gets hurt and because he is likely better than 'ol Gabbert, he isn't being shopped. He will have only played two games before the trade deadline and no team is trading for a two month loan on a QB that will have to learn a new offense and will be a free agent. Although to Kaep its basically a tryout for the 31 other teams, as long as he plays decently he'll be a hot free agent come February so I think he came out the best as next year he could be on a much better team and the 49ers may still have no QB.
  21. In normal Kaepernick news, it was 'officially' announced that his contract was restructured and he is a free agent after this year now unless he opts into next year (but that money isn't guaranteed). I know that had leaked but I hadn't read the exact details of it. Seems fair for all parties, Kaepernick wanted to be traded last year so it gives him a chance to spread his wings elsewhere, and the 49ers cut four years off the old deal so their obligation is likely over in three months and they can move on. I mean in theory if Kaep plays well and the 49ers want to they can sign him to a new deal, I just don't think that is likely all things considered. Lots of pressure on Kaep, if he plays well the rest of the year he could get 18+ million a year in his next contract still. He'd just have to show he can regain his form from 2012 and 2013, I guess we will know soon enough.
  22. As a Bills fan, I am contractually obligated to map out every way the Bills can lose a game before the game takes place. "Hyde Running + Play Action" is what I've come up with. Plus a missed Carpenter FG and a poorly timed fumble.
  23. In all seriousness, the QB for the 49ers shouldn't really matter too much as if I was San Fran I'd be doing all I can to make Hyde the focus as I think he is much better than all the other offensive players. Plus if Hyde gets going it opens up other things. That's my only fear about Sunday, if Hyde starts out hot and San Fran is eating clock while Kaep mixes in some play action stuff, it could be a long day.
  24. While all this is very true, the fact is still the defense has not been disastrous this year which is all that matters to me as a Bills fan, especially the last three games since they made some 'behind the scenes' changes. How the Ryans did at the Saints and the Jets with different coaches and different players isn't incredibly relevant to 2016.
  25. D- trolling, please try again.
