  1. Martha sold way too much to tiny girls.
  2. I am on shift this week so no Tuesday Night Titans for me. At least Air Force One is on AMC. I think this training exercise ends just in time for Labor Day Weekend, so I could be on during the day on Friday while my girlfriend is at work. Story Mode V.2. Recap! I did all of the prep work for Blitz Play (easiest Gold medals in the game) and remembered why I hate the Merryweather Heist. It is bad enough that you risk life and limb preparing for the easier Off-Shore plan which offers the least resistance. I imagine players that go the tanker route and have to get 12 Stealth Takedowns and all of that other shit to get a a Gold medal and still end up with no payout get furious in a hurry. The Grass Roots side jobs are fucking great. I love how Trevor and Michael almost have epileptic events after smoking Barry's homegrown weed, but Franklin doesn't even get the munchies or anything after a drag. I think I liked Downtown Cab pre 1.16 patch better. Franklin used to be able to get shit done and now Raul calls me at least twice a week with Private Fare requests.
  3. Better yet, Glacier, Pat Tanaka and Paul Roma. The Frozen P's.
  4. Emmys had to give goodbye love to Breaking Bad even though it's already won a billion Emmys. Dinklage will bring it next season and hopefully will win the statue he deserves.
  5. I was a huge Badd Company mark back in the day. One of the few shining cabins on the sinking ship that was the AWA. however as much as I loved Diamond and Tanaka, I preferred the Akio Sato / Pat Tanaka version of The Orient Express.
  6. Aw. The Normal Heart won. That fucking rules but yeah, Kramer does not look well.
  7. Chuck Palumbo, Shawn Stasiak, and Orlando Jones. Two Do's And A Don't.
  8. The love for Sherlock: His Last Vow is refreshing.
  9. Got in a little GTA5 after getting home to change clothes and getting back to work after being held up on post because of the active shooter. Poor girl was actually a suicide.. By The Book feels even more icky the second time around now that I know the proper sequence of torture instruments to use to insure that Mr. K did not pass out (ie. Doesn't matter what you use so long as Electrocution is last). I also managed to avoid the embarassement of Michael failing the mission by shooting the wrong guy (I fucked up during Playthrough One and shot the first guy I saw that had a beard. Tuned out on the part where Mr. K said he was a leftie) by waiting for the confirmation dialogue before taking out the target. RIP to Beverly. The asshole deserved it. It took three tries before I was able to kill Beverly and his camera crew with one grenade and get the Gold medal. I didn't forget to pick up the money around his corpse before the cops arrived. Grass Roots - Trevor was a lot easier the second time around but almost as frustrating as the first time I played it. Focused on blowing up the clown cars first and then just found a place to take cover and waited patiently for clowns to start dancing before shooting them. Got Gold on the first try. Hood Safari Redux can kiss my ass. Getting 12 Headshots was a fucking chore but at least I remembered that I had grenades this time. Did most of my damage as Trevor since Rage + Pump Shotgun = High Gunfire Accuracy %. Blew up LSPD cars to give us a nice window to get to MC Clip's video shoot. Was pleased to discover that if you kill MC Clip with a headshot, it counts towards your overall total. Got my last headshots on cops at the docks before making our getaway in a police car. Finished with 14 headshots and 90% Accuracy! Next up will be Blitz Play (after doing all of the set-up) and then I will finally deal with the fucking Merryweather Job.... again..
  10. We had an active shooter on post today. Solder shot herself in an apparent suicide attempt. MP's managed to get to her and she was medevaced to MCV. I am none the worst for wear. Edit: Damn. Just informed that the solder died of her injury.
  11. So yeah, when there is an active shooter on the army base you work on and the MP's give the all clear signal, the first person you need to call is your kid and tell her that everything is okay. Glad that my shift is turing out to be nice and boring..
  12. If there can be such a thing as McG and Oliver Megaton, then I will also go by a psuedonym.
  13. Executive Producer: JT This thing could be a thing.
  14. @ Jingus. I suppose I see it as an overarching empowerment issue. I am kinda tired of African-Americans being pigeonholed into certain areas of the entertainment industry, especially by our own people. I think that we should have a strong presence in all genre of music, not just Hip Hop or Gospel or something, and we should have a more creative input into more than one genre of film, not just comedies or some magazine inspired romantic crap. Jesus, we have to have some film majors in our brood. Everyone will get a Producer credit.
  15. Hmm. We need to get a script written and get a Kickstarter campaign going.
  16. I'd love to see it but movies about tiny evil monsters grow on trees. Gremlins, Critters, Troll, Ghoulies, Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark, and now The Babadook is on the horizon.
  17. IMO, Black film makers are too busy trying to get rich on the Tyler Perry formula because relationship movies and romantic comedies sell better to the community. I've yet to see a Black film maker really focus on making good Afro-centric horror / thriller movies.. This is why I am actually pretty stoked for No Good Deed with Taranji P Henson and Idris Elba. If it does well, then maybe it will be the start of more films of its ilk. My granmother used to scare the shit out of me and my siblings by telling us stories about a race of evil creatures called the Biloko that would kidnap us if we didn't do our chores. Strictly Grimm Fairy Tale type stuff designed to make kids behave, but African folklore is ripe with materiel for a horror movie.
  18. If you guys thought the horror shorts were awesome, check out the entrants for the "Who's There?" Film Challenge: http://www.bchorrorchallenge.com/ and Cargo, probably the most heartbreaking zombie related something you will watch not named The Walking Dead. Takashi Shimizu's pre Ju-On shorts, Katasumi and 444-444-4444, are also on the YouTubes. Other stuff I can recommend 1. Red Balloon (This movie will not help you get over your fear of clowns.) 2. Doppleganger 3. The Descendent 4. The Closet (Dale Daywalt is one of the better horror short film directors out there.) 5. The Hunt 6. Bedfellows (I am sure you have all seen the .gif file by now) 7. Polydeus (another Daywalt gem based on the Polybius urban legend).
  19. I am a sucker for poetic justice even if ends are tied up too neatly.
  20. Murder in the First's ending fucking ruled.
  21. The first movie was very strong so I expect this movie to also be very good.
  22. Another solid weekend puts Guardians of the Galaxy at the top of the Summer Box Office. The rubbing of noses into piles of shit can now begin.
