So now that it's done, I'll give TWfM a solid 7.5. It was good, but not great. Some really interesting concepts/ideas, but it seemed too rushed towards the end (maybe cut down on the school life scenes?) and the lack of mecha action at times was a bit concerning.
-
At least they got one of the big names in isekai (Tappei Nagatsuki who created the popular LN series Re: ZERO - Starting Life in Another World) to be one of the co-writers.
-
Movie Like I've said in the past, the SRW rewrite/rehabilitation of Shinn made a lot of people appreciate SEED Destiny more. And it took SEED Destiny out of my top 3 hated Gundam series. $165? That's nothing. I spent around $300 on the Metal Build Strike Freedom when it came out (and it's an absolute beaut of a figure especially with the wings spread out)

Maybe whoever's taking over as script writer will see what the SRW team did and fix all the fuckups that Morosawa made in SEED Destiny

According to the NY Times Ryan Seacrest has officially been named the new Wheel of Fortune host when Sajak retires https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/27/business/media/ryan-seacrest-wheel-of-fortune.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share

Wonder if any of this is tied to yesterday's announcement that Qatar's buying a 5% stake of Monument Sports.

The Calibarn seems to be too derivative...the red highlights a la Unicorn in NT-D mode, the Crossbone-like thrusters, the large slender beam cannon like the Dendrobium...
-
And in other Wizards news Looks like the total rebuild is finally happening.
-
Supposedly the Commanders want to be on Hard Knocks

If it's the Caliba(r)n, it's a weird choice to introduce a new MS for the main character at such a late time. One would think Bamco would have revealed it earlier for merchandising purposes. I think it might be more of a one and done and Suletta winds up back in Aerial at the end.

I'm really hoping Dragon's Dogma II does away with the bullshit online endgame random drop gimmick from the first one. -
From the ESPN article:

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-06-04/new-macross-animation-project-to-be-produced-by-sunrise/.198798 Interesting that Sunrise is doing it and not Satelight/Kawamori. I know Delta wasn't that great and Satelight hasn't been lighting it up the past few years, but it's still a pretty major shift.

Except that Fox has apparently already said they were ok with Brady being a part owner. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/05/12/report-fox-has-blessed-tom-bradys-potential-status-as-raiders-minority-owner/

I still firmly believe they changed LA Knight to be billed from L.A. because the ring announcers couldn't pronounce Hagerstown.
-
(I think I've become WAY too invested in this story)

As a follow up...
