  1. A-Team theme chant was certainly the highlight of the show
  2. Oh, come on. Mostly bad show. Women's matches were basically catfight bikini battles. AJ/Nak was good til the end. Roman had another match that he would have been great in if he wasn't saddled with the world's worst super hero gimmick. Damn I wish Joe had been signed ten years ago.
  3. This is a big reason Joe is my favorite '00s-era wrestler. Dude is magic. Shame he's finally arrived only to be older and injury prone, or I really do think he'd be more than a speed bump to Reigns right now.
  4. No, when Jericho did it 20 years ago, it was beautiful. Amazing that this show was so bad with this roster. Heel Nak is a fucking God, though, and Joe is the best promo they've had in ages.
  5. I'm with you. HHH and Steph ruined his title run just like they ruined Jericho's first run. He's the best option they have that isn't Braun.
  6. Feel bad for everyone with seats behind the giant hovering snap code.
  7. Nah, even before the head injuries, Bryan was always a big supporter of the working Cass. (ban me if you must)
  8. I'm really happy that BossMoz finally took off. I get the logic behind Cass/Bryan, but it would be way more fun if Bryan wasn't feuding with someone so shitty. Or if they'd just gone the obvious "Miz's lackey" route.
  9. I guess those who were concerned by "No Speak English" becoming Nak's catchphrase were right, but I think it will all have been worth it for Corey's, "WELL THAT'S AN EVEN BIGGER TRAGEDY, IMAGINE FORGETTING A WHOLE LANGUAGE!" Echoing all who mention how great and theatrical his heeling is, though. I'm so glad the two hour show is the required television for me again.
  10. There are still two hours worth of trades to hurt SD tomorrow.
  11. It was more like po boys and sazeracs til 6am every morning, but sure. I did love this show, though. That Joe promo, Brother Nero, lot of great debuts and returns. Pure fun.
  12. Got in really late so haven't watched Raw, but Mania was super fun. Met Rowan at my favorite (and maybe the last standing) dive bar in the Quarter (The Abbey) so was stoked they won. Thought the crowd handled the main perfectly with all the beach ball stuff. Bryan was great. Rousey match was so much better than expected. Wasn't nearly as cool as ROH the night before, but I had a blast.
  13. Yeah, I don't see any way that doesn't happen. I'm not looking forward to attending a Kid Rock concert this weekend, but otherwise the card looks great.
  14. Well, Ultimate Deletion was infinitely better than anything I was expecting to see on Raw. Can't believe that happened. Would be so incredible if that was the end of the Bray character, but oh well. Cesaro/Stroman was also fun.
  15. I thought this was way better than last week, for whatever that's worth. Marked out big for the Hardy compound, loved Asuke/Nia and even the Bliss thing afterward (I do not share the board's enthusiasm for Alexa Bliss), the Mizzies and the match were fun, Cena/Golddust was cool if short, and while they should have done it with Sasha or about ten other people years ago, I'm fine with them running Austin/Vince with Rousey/Steph. Only thing that was really lame was the Brock/Roman stuff, but whatever.
  16. Oh no Also Louisiana native/Saints fan here and I guarantee you Jarrius will get a bigger pop than anybody on that stage.
  17. I know "Roman sucks" is frowned on here as cliched, but c'mon. This isn't when everyone booed Cena. No one cares. It's just terrible business.
  18. The Creed/Terry thing was waaaayyyyy too on the nose for me and felt low rent. But I totally agree on Apollo Nation.
  19. Oh yeah, that too - Did not like the Asuke promo. Don't do that. I actually get a kick out of Nak on the mic when it's short enough, but Asuke should just maybe be giving a threat or two, tops.
  20. The flame pants ruled. I'm pretty lukewarm on Rollins for some time now, but 100% agree that his title run was sabotaged by the Authority (kinda reminded me of Jericho's first run) and he put on a helluva show last night. Braun is probably my favorite purely WWE wrestler since...I dunno...Cena?...but I'm not nearly as big on "Get These Hands" as most. It was cool to shout out in the ring a time or two, but eh. Guessing they're setting Cena up to lose the Chamber and then get cut off by Taker during his "No Road to Mania" promo. Or he'll step in the Rousey match if Rocky is a no go. Or something, but I don't see him winning and of course he'll be at Mania. That promo he gave after the loss seemed pretty distraught, and I wonder if he wasn't being just a little sincere on the emotions since he blew his nearly 10 year Raw win streak.
  21. Apollo Crews is such an awful ring name and this is maybe the first time I've been glad they're shortening one.
  22. He had a pretty nasty looking cut on his back from that stairs landing, but I couldn't catch where he got all of those scrapes. Shit looked crazy painful. And he was really hamming it up for that crowd, too. Not sure if he's ever been presented as that straight-forward of a face. Also - I hate the phone promos.
  23. I am super here for DVDVR missing Booker. Always thought this place was too hard on his commentary, but maybe I imagined it. Personally, I loved how off-the-cuff he came off and how he'd throw around words like "strap" and "wrestling." His announcing during Strowman's rampage where he threw Michael Cole made the whole thing that much better for me. And Graves pointing out his mistakes all the time was fantastic. I'm definitely biased as a Booker mark and an occasional ROW attendee. His announcer persona is a total work, and it's great. Also Coach sucks, and if they manage to get the "dream" tag they want for Mania, I'm not looking forward to five minute homophobic segments of Rocky making fun of him. This Raw was otherwise excellent, though. Definitely think the Finn loss is leading to a heel turn, as mentioned. Also wouldn't mind one last Cena title run tbh, but yeah.
  24. Stephanie commentated like she knew everything that was going to happen. It was some of the worst announcing I'd ever heard. Lawler was also awful as usual, and Cole's "yachting" thing was legendarily bad. I quite enjoyed the show, but the commentating was totally worth complaining about.
