  1. I have so many damn VHS tapes. I'm very lazy but will be throwing them out (about 3 rubbermaid tubs worth) or giving them away to anyone who wants them.
  2. And from May to now: 7/9/2013 – Ales Kot is removed from Suicide Squad after two issues: "Since the solicitations for October’s DC titles came out, I was repeatedly asked if I am no longer writing Suicide Squad. Yes, Matt Kindt is writing SS #24 and I am no longer writing Suicide Squad. Matt’s “3 Story” is one of my favorite graphic novels I read in the last few years and I look forward to reading “Mind MGMT” when I finally find the time to buy the first hardcover collection, which you can find here. Matt Kindt is a very capable storyteller who is doing exciting things in the comics medium and I wish him great things. I killed my deadlines, I wrote my best, and I have no regrets whatsoever. Thank you for the ride, for your support, for everything." 7/27/2013 – Justin Jordan leaves Superboy: "Since you all have asked – still on New Guardians, and I did leave Superboy. Obviously, since I am still on NG, this was totally amicable." 8/9/2013 - Kevin Maguire leaves Justice League 3000, causing book to be delayed to December: "Well, I don't want to make any big deal about it but I suppose I should say something. This is, as I tweeted, very humiliating. Obviously, I was looking forward to working on a fairly high profile book. I haven't had a top ten book since the 80s and I thought this would finally be my shot at doing one. But it's DC's book, it's their property, they can do whatever they want with it. They don't owe me anything. I've been told they wanted a book that was "dark and gritty", so I'm perplexed as to why they chose us for that. We did exactly the kind of book you would expect from us. Lots of action and humor. AND I turned down a Bendis X-Men project to do JL3K. As for my doing other projects with DC, they offered me a four page story and a 10 page digital first story. They're paychecks, so I'm grateful for that, but they're no Justice League #1. I really don't want to do back ups and fill-ins for my career. So, right now, I'll do the four pager and then I think that'll be it for me and DC for a while. I've received some interesting offers from other companies. Marvel generously offered me an issue of a cool book, so I'm going to do that for now, then see what happens. I was supposed to do Baltimore Comic Con next month with Giffen and DeMatteis, but I'll be canceling that for obvious reason. Apart from the fact that I no longer have a project to promote with them, Giffen's Newsarama quote, which I'm certain had no intended malice, still kinda stung. That's it. That covers all I have to say about this. It'll be forgotten news by next week and we all move on with our lives." Am I missing anymore?
  3. SPOILERS! Thanks for the info, I'll probably be checking that out then.
  4. How crucial are the X-Factor, Thor, etc. chapters of Mutant Massacre?
  5. Pro Wrestling Respect had a one day tourney at the end of June. AIW is doing another tournament, a tag team one on November 1st.
  6. Do we know what the deal with the Twilight live Riff was? The Kickstarter met it's goal very quickly, then with little to no fanfare, was changed to Starship Troopers.
  7. As I learned from Steve Austin's podcast: "It's a upper body business, kid!"
  8. Cullen Bunn tweeted "He's not done with the Symbiotes" this leads me to believe both Venom and Flash will be back soon, maybe a Marvel NOW 2 relaunch?
  9. Everything Jason Aaron is currently writing is and has been great. He was teasing on Twitter yesterday he may have another book coming soon (outside of Amazing X-Men and Southern Bastards) and we may be seeing Ghost Rider appear in Thor in a coming arc.
  10. Does it make me a bad person that I've never heard of any of the people you mentioned? Yes. Specifically, John Hodgman, eccentric millionaire and holder of all world knowledge. Many people might remember him like this, though: Also, as I learned from the latest Dana Gould Podcast, afraid of underwater mechanics.
  11. I remember that! Didn't he also mention about it being a subject of discussion at PTA meetings?
  12. Kevin Maguire tweeted he's been fired off Justice League 3000. Bleeding Cool states the book is being reworked from scratch and may not be ready for it's October 4th release date. Was so looking forward to this one too.
  13. 15 minutes into part two of the Scott Hall interview and it's great! Such awesome info about OBGYN offices and GA school board officials.
  14. There are times I wish I believed a bit more. I remember a few years back going to a friend's house to watch a PPV, I think the Survivor Series with Punk teaming with HHH & Shawn. There was another person there who had two small children (age 5 and 10) and all three bought everything hook, line and sinker. I was jealous.
  15. I was nine and the news story broke of Duggan and the Sheik busted together with coke, among other things. Why were they driving together? Was this a ploy by Slick to defame the much beloved Hacksaw? Were they trying to resolve their issues post WrestleMania 3? Nope, they just both liked cocaine.
  16. Teresa has been off the show over two years, replaced by Alison Rosen. Dameshek is on once a week for 'sports.' Carolla is my favorite podcast, I get to listen to a lot during the day: - Art of Wrestling: Cabana's podcast is good, but lately some of the guests have been stinkers - House to Astonish: Great comic podcast, covering tons of stuff - War Rocket Ajax: Weekly with varying comics guests - Aw Yeah Podcast: Art Baltazar & Franco (Tiny Titans, Superman Family Adventures) with John Siuntres of Word Balloon just shooting the breeze in a (mostly) PG way - the Film Vault: Every Friday, covering a different "Top Five" every week (this week is top five introductions) - Norm MacDonald: is on hiatus over the summer, but the past episodes are worth a listen - the Indoor Kids: not much of a gamer these days but Emily and Kumail are funny enough to make me listen to a 90 minute podcast about games I will never play - Greg Fitzsimmons: great comedian, really funny podcast - Dinner for Fiends/Foycast: from the Dread Central horror site. I wish they were more frequent
  17. Austin is doing an AMA on Reddit today at 1pm EST http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1im8bx/i_am_steve_austin_wwe_hall_of_famer_and_host_of/
  18. Also from this week's Observer: Is this common knowledge? I never heard this before!
  19. The Cole and JBL show was good. I listened to the most recet episode since Zeb & Cesaro were on. Hearing Cole & JBL talking candidly about their histories in WWE was pretty entertaining.
  20. You know, I tried YA and it wasn't clicking for me. One of the most beautiful books I've ever read but it kept slipping to the bottom of my giant pile and eventually fell off Daredevil and Hawkeye are maybe the #1 and #2 books being published today.
  21. Waiting for the print collection of Batman '66 (next week!) DC ain't all bad. Charles Soule has been doing a great job on Swamp Thing. Jeff Lemire is still writing a great Animal Man
  22. I fear the Steranko account my be phony. I hope it's not. Fraction has been tweeting through a separate account the crazy conversation he has with Chaykin.
