  2. Dug Kelani/Kiana. The two had solid chemistry and busted out some neat things. Good Brothers vs. Blade/Enofe was a decent showcase for the latter before the Magic Killer ended things. Roxanne/Jakara was decent. Was nice to see Jackson on her own in the ring. Feels like we haven't really gotten a decent idea of what she is capable of in her tags with Lash. Dijak/Luca was surprisingly decent. This was easily the best Luca has looked in NXT. Lyra & Tatum getting to challenge for the tag titles feels a bit too random for my tastes on the win/loss side, but I also don't hate it since it should be good. The Ridge Interruption and return of Spears was a surprise. Not really into it, but I have never been super fond of Spears. King/Wagner was fine. Gigi/Jaida was better than expected. Feels like Gigi has finally started to improve the last couple of months which makes her loss here a bit annoying. Jaida has potential but not enough to justify beating Gigi here. Not entirely sure of where things are going with Grace's interference here, but I continue to enjoy her ridiculousness. Dar/Dempsey was good. Loved all the mat and hold work and the falls were done. This felt like the best Heritage Cup match in a while from a style standpoint. Only wish it went one round more. Glad to see Dempsey take home the win. I would like to see Dar move on to the NA or NXT title, maybe let Oro aim for the Heritage Cup. The final segment with Melo and Ilja was going well enough and then turned a little higher with Tony D coming out and throwing a wrench in Melo's plans. Melo still finding a way to be the last man standing at the end was neat and the right call. Will be interesting to see how things go next week. Matches were mostly decent if nothing special though I thought the Heritage Cup match was MOTN and well worth catching. Decent show. I like the Roadblock card. Still not sure how things go for Stand and Deliver.
  3. Rhea and Becky's segment was solid. The Nia interference was expected and a good setup for Becky/Nia II as something to kill time and give Becky a strong win. Sami/Nakamura was good once again. Raquel/Chelsea was a nice little squash/showcase of both women's strengths. The Imperium/Judgement Day segment was alright. Kind of love Dom throwing out the challenge and Gunther's and Rhea's reactions to the idea. Will be fun to see how the IC challenger is decided. Feels like they are setting up a decent amount of potential challengers right now. New Day/Imperium was good fun and a nice needed victory for Imperium. Indi/Candice vs. Shayna/Zoey was fine. Drew and Seth's segment was decent. Always fun to see Drew be such a bastard to Punk and others. Nia/Liv was far better than expected with the two having surprisingly good chemistry. Only a shame it ended in bs with Becky's attack though it made sense given Nia's earlier assault in the opening Cody/Waller was solid. The post match with Heyman and his goons was rather nice and a great hero moment for Cody with him not taking any shit anymore. Love how he didn't indulge Heyman at all at the end. Raw is always too long, but there was a decent amount of solid-good matches and segments here. Sami/Nakamura, Liv/Nia, and the New Day/Imperium street fight were the particular standouts here and well worth catching. Pretty solid show.
  4. Its good to see the top matches already decided. Just hope the rest of the card gets some decent build with the time left. Will be interesting to see what they do with Gunther. Kind of hoping Gable wins the belt off of him.
  5. Unless its an injury issue I'm not too worried about Becky. She looked mostly solid-good during her NXT title run just a few months back. I feel like she will step it up against Rhea.
  6. The potential heel turn is only a recent thing, and they likely haven't gone all in because Roxanne is the most over woman outside of the CWC. Even the audience there is still mostly positive towards her. At this point its probably best to leave her with some edge and turn someone else.
  7. Surprised they didn't just use the British Strong Style name again since they were using it for NXT UK. I thought Liv's matches against Carmella and Becky a few years back were decently good. She just seemed to regress when she became champ. No idea if that was because of Rousey and/or injuries, but she has looked a decent bit better upon in this latest return. A big Wrestlemania match mainly wouldn't make sense for her because she has no momentum. Guessing Stratton moved up first because they wanted a heel and they want to make sure NXT still has good talent around to lead the the newer crop for a while.
  8. Dug the Women's Chamber match. Thought everyone had a nice showing. Was surprised at how over Tiffany was. I don't think any level of booking would have made her heel here outside of eliminating Becky in some super underhanded way. Bate/Dunne vs. Finn/Priest built into a pretty good match. I think this was one of Priest and Balor's better showings as a team. Men's Chamber match seemed solid though it didn't quite draw my interest in as much as the women did. Did think the eliminations were generally well handled and it feels like they set up at least one or two other matches for Wrestlemania outside of the World title match. Rhea/Nia was good. Nia looked good as a powerhouse, and I liked Rhea switching things up a bit to deal with monster like Nia. Was neat seeing both women bust out new things for the occasion. All the matches delivered on some level so a generally good show. Won't say anything was great, but its was all worth catching.
  9. Liv/Tiffany was solid. Thought Tiffany could have gotten a little more in, but this felt like a better showcase for her than the Zelina match from last week. Bron had a decent, quick squash of Dante Chen. Bate/Dunne vs. Dom/JD was pretty good as expected. Everyone here has good chemistry and it was hard to not find Bate's joy a bit infectious in the first half. The post match with Bate and Dunne getting one over Judgement Day was nice to see. AoP vs. Street Profits built into a pretty solid match. Was good to see these groups finally have a proper match. The late interference worked well and keep the Profits looking good even in loss. Dakota being mysteriously injured and finally reuniting with Bayley is an obvious ploy for murder by Damage Ctrl next week, but I hope they surprise us with Kai being legit behind Bayley. Knight/Drew seemed like a good match, but it was hard not to be distracted by the commentary with Owens and Paul around. The ending more or less went about expected with it being the last show before a PLE. Orton standing tall among the EC participants was a good call though it seems like anyone but Drew winning later tonight/tomorrow would make no sense. All of the matches were solid at worst and pretty enjoyable. The Bate/Dunne tag was MOTN. The segments were decent and did some solid building for EC and next week. Pretty solid show all around.
  10. Just saw Cross's vid on this since he and his team tend to do a little more digging. The program absolutely can be used with Destiny or any game, and regardless of the specifics Cruz violated Bungie's TOS about running cheat programs during D2. It doesn't matter if they are applied to Destiny or not, you're not really allowed to run them while Destiny is active on your machine. Also he did try to appeal his ban and they replied so he did talk to the company. His appeal just failed. If his claims are legit I do think the perma-ban is harsh, but its also something that was warned of well in advance via the TOS. It sucks, but I don't really think its a rally against the company moment.
  11. Today's TWID/TWAB was the big one from the PvP Strike Team. There was a bunch of stuff about sandbox changes for balance, changing spawn points, matchmaking, etc. The more tangible stuff was the mention of the new maps coming in May, artifice armor as a reward from the Competitive playlist, and more rewards in Trials, including a new Passage that will allow for Adept weapon without going Flawless. With how Trials has been I'm not bothered by the last change. Competitive is technically the endgame for PvP at this point. The Prophecy Dungeon is also getting updated finally with 3 weapons getting switched out and an origin trait getting added alongside new perk pools. All the weapons are changing damage types as well.
  12. I keep seeing this talk of replacing Kang with Doom and it throws me since it feels like the Secret Wars they were going with was the Hickman/Doom version. Doom was already going to be the big bad.
  13. Ilja mentioned defending against Melo at Roadblock, but that was it. Was starting to think it was 3 weeks away with the lack of promotion.
  14. Oba/Lexis was fine. Roxanne/Wren was decent, felt mostly like a showcase for the more angry Roxanne which is good. Briggs/Jensen was good. Felt like the best Jensen has looked in a singles match. Was a nice showcase for him and general hoss fight Jacy/Arianna was alright while it lasted but ultimately was more about the angle of Jacy's more heelish tendencies clashing with Thea. Was weird to see them bring this back up again after Jacy slid firmly into face territory with the saving Chase U story. Arianna being Jacy's opponent and the voice of reason to Thea earlier in the night when talking relationship advice was also a strange choice given Arianna has firmly been in hel territory since her debut. I don't hate any of this per say, but it would be a shame to see Thea and Jacy's friendship rushed to an end. They have a good dynamic in and out of the ring. Axiom/Frazer vs. Chase/Duke was damn good as expected. Was pleasantly surprised to see Chase U take the win though the Good Brothers attack at the end made it feel like it didn't really matter who won. Hayes's vid explaining his true feelings on Trick and why he attacked was good. Would not be surprised if Hayes won the NXT title back just so Trick can get his revenge and crowning on a big stage Wrestlemania weekend. Lash/Kelani was solid. The two gel well together with their opposing styles. Lash has come a long way from where she was 1-2 years ago. She regularly looks good-great as a dominating force. Shotzi/Lyra was going well until poor Shotzi's injury occurred. Always amazing how these things happen with the stuff that seems least likely to injure a wrestler compared to their usual offense and bumping. Lash being the choice to make random match with Lyra is a decent sign of how good they must feel Lahs is. She and Lyra didn't put on a barn burner or anything, but they got something ok out despite not being used to each other at all. I did like them adding Roxanne's tantrum in back when she realized another wrestler jumped the line ahead of her to challenge Lyra. Two standout matches in Briggs/Jensen and Chase U vs. Axiom/ Frazer. The rest was generally enjoyable or more angle based. Oddly enough I might have enjoyed Lash/Lelani the most, but I'm a sucker for power vs. speed matches. The segments were mostly solid and did some interesting moves forward for a lot of people. Solid show even with Shotzi's injury bringing things down a bit.
  15. Drew/Cody was good as expected. Dug the Bloodline interference and the clear mixed feelings Drew had with it despite taking advantage. The women's battle royal was surprisingly solid and did a good job of putting a returning Raquel over all the way to the win. Glad to see Raquel back. This felt like the first time she was booked right in a long time. The Truth interview was wonderfully dumb as I hoped for. That man is a treasure. The Truth/Miz/DIY vs. Judgement Day tag that came a little later was solid. Truth looked great in that finishing stretch against Priest. Becky's promo was going fine until the typical everyone interrupts part happened. This is one thing they really need to leave behind as it just bloats talking segments and rarely leaves anyone coming across all too well by the end. Skipped around to the brawling. I kind of love and hate nia coming out and so soundly destroying everyone. Doesn't leave the EC participants looking great, but Nia arguably needs stuff like these for the extra heat and cred. Its also speaks to the mistake of everyone but Raquel overlooking her for Rhea or their own glory. Chad/Ivar was pretty solid though the crowd response could have been better. Jey/Gunther was damn good as expected. The early massacre of Jey was great, and they did a fine job of having Jey build up momentum while Gunther still presented as a beast. The Jimmy interference was expected but worked well into the finish. Dug all the matches a good deal and the segments were mostly solid. Pretty solid show, especially for Jey/Gunther.
  16. Aside from Kamala & Kate, it feels like Cassie & America are done deals.
  17. This is how it is for me as well. I know Marvel mostly because of those 90s cartoons even F4, Hulk, and Iron man. X-men and Spider-Man were cut above the rest even with censoring screwing things up.
  18. Most to the Last Wish weapons are supposed to be pretty good, but the big ones I hear about are Apex, Tyranny, and Nation. I suggest going with the one you don't have a decent legendary version of in some form. Like Tyranny can be skipped due to Pre-Astyanax IV. I think you can live w/o the Hunter set. I love garrus, but his look didn't translate near as well as Liara and the N7 armor. If you are buying a Hunter set go the Witcher one.
  19. That would make no sense of whatsoever. Would be surprised if we don't get Jade/Bianca at Wrestlemania. I think had Charlotte not been injured it would have been her vs. Jade.
  20. 50/50 is less of a thing for top stars and even less of a thing for champs. It happens more around the mid card with the idea of people jockeying for higher positions. I think Sami and maybe Jey are the only higher tiered guys who eat a decent amount of losses right now.
  21. I saw a comment elsewhere about this likely just being a ploy so they didn't get into trouble for their current shelving strategy after some senator commented about looking over the practice of shelving movies like this for tax write offs. Place the price so highly no one would accept while refusing to negotiate any counteroffers. Supposedly Zaslav never even saw the film.
  22. Opening segment was a little fun for the digs HHH made towards the Bloodline while cementing Roman/Cody as the main event of Wrestlemania. Also dug the smile HHH had when Dom's name was announced for an elimination qualifier. You can tell how happy everyone is for Dom having the level of heat he does every time they talk about him in interviews or on the shows themselves. That type of love and/or hatred is so hard to achieve. Drew continued his tremendous bastard run when he came down for his match. Drew/AJ was good stuff as expected. Enjoyed Knight on commentary. Bianca/Mia was solid. Was nice to see them use it as a showcase for Mia since they knew she was losing. Bayley's segment with Dakota was decent though I think I would have preferred it in a backstage environment. Interesting to see them leave things a bit in the air on where Dakota is aligned. Still need the joshi contingent to murder Bayley at some point if only for cred. DIY vs. British Strong Style was another fine match. Was pleased to see Bate and Dunne take the victory. Orton/Sami was solid though the outcome was never in doubt. Generally solid-good matches and segments with some nice forward movement towards Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania. Good show.
  23. During the Vengeance Day media call, Michaels admitted flat out he wanted Punk in NXT.
  24. Roman/Rock is way past the point where its worth pursuing. The Rock is in no shape for that type of match. Roman also doesn't need two main events. No reason someone else can't have the other night like originally planned.
