  1. So much for Seattle’s 12th Fan nonsense, more of a third of the crowd is wearing Black and Gold!
  2. Did they tell the ref before the game they were potentially going to run a tackle eligible or that they planned on sending the three tackles over to the ref when reporting before the tackle eligible? The Lions increased the chance of human error when they tried to be cute with how they had 68 report, had he been the only one to go over to the ref the goof doesn’t happen. Officiating has always been bad, it’s just that today’s technology allows us to see way more views of field with a crystal clear picture than ever before. They’ll be more cameras at todays Raiders-Colts game than there were at the Super Bowl 10 years ago.
  3. The Lions shouldn’t have tried to be cute by sending three tackles over to the ref, there’s no need for 58 to even be over there, 70 runs to the ref and not the huddle, there’s no confusion on the refs part if 68 is the only one who approaches him.
  4. Actually there were 3 giant men, why was #58 even over there? The more I thinking about it the Lions were trying to be sneaky and it backfired, they sent 3 players over to the ref with only 1 or 2 of them “reporting” to confuse Dallas.
  5. They showed this on ESPN, Aikman and the ESPN ref said that either the ref didn’t hear #68, or he was trying to be sneaky in how he reported so the Cowboys wouldn’t pick up on it. I always thought when someone “reported” they yelled at the ref and brushed the front of their jersey?
  6. They used to intro the O for one team and the D for the other, but the Patriots elected to be introduced as a team in one of their early Super Bowls, which lead the NFL doing away with it the next year.
  7. The non-playoff bowl games need to be more like game shows, have anyone who scores a TD in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl win a set of tires, even though it looks like no one would get any this year.
  8. There’s also going to be a season 4!
  9. That’s the same music the NFL Today on CBS used during that timeframe, but it starts up at a different point in the song.
  10. He’s a big part of a recent doc on the JFK Assassination, it’s all of the surviving witnesses being interviewed, really good! It’s on Hulu and Disney+
  11. The “durr the McCallister’s were rich” or “durr what did Peter McCallister do to be so rich” Home Alone takes have been strong this year. I just want to scream “John Hughes only wrote about rich yuppies because that’s what he was!” Every protagonists family with the exception of the Griswold’s in the first two Vacation movies were ultra rich and living in the 80’s versions of McMansions.
  12. Mason Rudolph is playing with lots of “Fuck You I should have been the starter all along” energy.
  13. Ugh, Geico brought back the caveman.
  14. Most wins by ACC programs (last 5 years). 1. Clemson 60 2. Pitt 41 3. Wake 38 4. NCST 36 5. Miami 33 6. UNC 32 7. UVA 31 8. FSU 29 T9. VT 28 T9. Syracuse 28 T9. BC 28 T9. Louisville 28 13. Duke 27 14. GaTech 21
  15. Franco was inducted into the Hall in 1988, he's basically getting their version of the Irving Thalberg Award. From their social media it looks like he agreed to appearing at this years banquet before he passed. “We, along with the rest of the sports world, are devastated with the news of the passing of Pittsburgh Steeler great and National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame inductee Franco Harris. He was a great friend and ardent supporter. We just met with him on Monday to discuss his participation in our 2023 gala. We have selected him to receive the Mario Andretti Lifetime Achievement Award. Our love goes to his family, especially his wife Dana. He was one of the greatest athletes of all time, but more importantly, one of the greatest people who has ever walked the planet.” Ron Onesti, President and Tony Ferraro, Chairman.
  16. They could have used his middle initial, Robert H. Gibson or something like that. This thread had me thinking that a corporate heel stable using just the last names of the members would work better than some generic name, so instead of The York Foundation its York, Taylor, Morton & Rich LLC.
  17. The York Foundation was a weird name, sounds more like a group that's funding PBS nature programs rather than some big company trying to take over the lower/mid card of a wrestling promotion.
  18. I swear HBO ran this movie every other day from 1989 to 1994 and then sold it off to basic cable channels who ran it all the time from 1995 to 2000. I remember the funny parts being near the beginning like the fishing scene, then sucking once they decide to move.
  19. Bob Mackie steals it, he needs to be in more docs or have one about him.
  20. A Disturbance in the Force a doc about the Holiday Special is really good, totally worth the $5 rental.
  21. Nice to see The Diplomat get some noms, I feel like I'm the only person who watched it.
  22. Pretty cool gimmick with the “handicap” in the Handicap Match being Marty Jones starting 1 fall down in a 2 out of 3 fall match, the reasoning being that Roy Regal is a rookie in his 2nd match ever.
  23. The Over/Under for the Stillers & Pats is 30, the lowest since Boxing Day 1993 when 3 games were pegged at 28 or 29 most likely due to weather.
