  1. You can’t really compare Brody with LeDuc, Brody was a superstar with a presence only a few in the business ever had and could work. LeDuc was a star in some territories, had a crazy look and promos to go with it but was average to way below average in the ring, plus didn’t he have drug issues.

Timeline wise I can see Brody coming in from July 1989 to around May of 1990, taking Mr. Perfect’s spot in house show main events for December to March, basically another version of Hulk vs. a monster like his runs with Kamala and Killer Kahn. Brody’s vignettes would start in July, he debuts at SummerSlam squashing someone like Tito Santana, maybe a house show run in the fall against Snuka, run some sort of angle with Hogan before Survivor Series for the markets who are getting the first of their house show matches, do another angle with them right after Survivor Series for the national audience, then their house show run goes from December 1989 to March 1990. After WM not sure what they’d do, was SWS going at that point? Would Brody work for them then maybe come back in the Summer to work some more house show mains with Hogan?

  2. Looks like there’s a good chance the Steelers and Bills gets moved to Tuesday, at what point does the NFL say too bad Buffalo and moves the game to Detroit? Even if the stadium and roads gets dug out there’s still a chance the surface will be too frozen to play on, what do they do then move the game to Wednesday? Stand around Tuesday waiting for the field to naturally heat up since they don’t have underground heaters?  If it does get moved to Tuesday would the NFL move the Divisional round game the winner plays in to next Monday then the AFC Championship to a Monday if they win that game?

I'll admit, I didn't know DEAN~ as well as others around here, but this seems like the sort of thing he'd have been *extremely* into:

I fell down the Celebrity Bowling rabbit hole during the pandemic, fun watch and such a random group of 70's celebs. But, I'm still partial of the few Pittsburgh Bowling for Dollars episodes floating around YouTube.

    Deal or No Deal Island

I'm kind of surprised this didn't happen when Survivor, Lost and Deal or No Deal were a thing.

Those TV reality shows that were on before they were called reality shows were the best tbh. Better than anything that ever came after.

The MTV True Life’s were almost always interesting and good, but the “I’ll gut you” guy from the Wedding one was most likely the genesis of Jersey Shore.

  6. Thanks Bills, now I don’t have to spend next Saturday explaining to my parents in Florida what Peacock actually is, how it works, how to get it on their tv and why the Steelers aren’t on regular TV.

I’ve warmed up to the theory that Paulie betrayed Tony in a back room deal and was going to end up running the Jersey mob as the “glorified crew” that New York wanted them to be.

I’ve gone back and forth on that one, I don’t think Paulie was smart enough or ambitious enough to do that, plus I can totally see him thinking being boss was cursed. Now on the other side Butchie was totally smart/ambitious enough to do that, plus he was tired of Phil’s shit.

  8. This announce crew is horrible, why the hell were they saying the Steelers should throw it towards the end of that last drive? That is the worst thing they could do and would never do it.

I've seen a lot of current Price due to living with old people, but I haven't seen Plinko in ages it feels like.

Most of the free streaming apps like PlutoTV and FreeVee have a channel streaming episodes from the early 1980's, really fun and interesting to watch.

  10. Here’s the Steelers playoff scenarios.

If the Miami Dolphins (11-5) defeat the Buffalo Bills (10-6), or the Tennessee Titans (5-11) defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-7) or they tie, combined with a Steelers win, the black and gold would earn a playoff berth.

The Steelers could also earn a playoff spot if they win, the Bills win and the Jaguars win, but the Houston Texans-Indianapolis Colts game ends in a tie. The Texans and Colts are both 9-7.

Here is the full breakdown of the scenarios:

    1. Steelers win and Indianapolis-Houston tie or

    2. Steelers win and Buffalo loss or

    3. Steelers win and Jacksonville loss/tie or

    4. Steelers tie and Indianapolis and Houston do not tie and Jacksonville loss or

    5. (Even with a Steelers loss) Indianapolis and Houston do not tie, Jacksonville loss and Denver win.
