I didn't think the cast of Taxi liked Kaufman that much to want to defend him. Danza went to college on a wrestling scholarship, made it to the New York Golden Gloves finals(not sure which class) and had a 9-3 pro boxing record, there's a very good chance he could have handled Lawler.
