  1. Thanks, @StretchMediatedHypertrophy , I'm trying! I usually measure my arms not pumped, but always flexed. I would imagine they have to be close to 42cm now, if those were the pumped measurements. But you can rest assured I'm not walking around with 45cm arms on the regular, that's for sure. Today was basically just seal row. Did 10 reps with 176 and 242, then 10 "reps" with 264. 286 for 2 sets of more than 5 "reps", maybe 2 of which were close to OK. Unlike normally, I put the Versas on when going back down. I wanted to see how that changes things, although it's usually not the grip that taps out first on this move. Well, I did get more partials out of each set, but no change in the number of good reps. Sets downwards were 275, 264, 242, 176 and 154. Reps, no idea, but continued until I was barely getting the weight off the ground. Good week so far, but the thought of a leg day or Trapbar is not appealing to me at the moment!
  2. Heavier dumbell curls, behind the neck two hand, single dumbell presses, and chest flies with resistance bands was on the agenda today. Last time, I had trouble supinating my wrists with the heavier weights, so I tried a reverse pyramid, to see if I could do it better with a short warm-up and then straight to the heavy shit? Yes and no. The warm-up was 5 with 39,5's, 3 with 48,5's and one with 53's. Then a set of 10 with 61,5's. Maybe 3 reps were actual curls, with some Body English thrown in, rest were pretty much very high hammer curls, like last time. But the weights were bigger, too! Following a similar strategy, I did as many good reps as possible, then rest as hammer curls until I got to 10 with 57's, 53's, 48,5's. Got 12 with 44's and stopped there. After each curl set, I did a set of behind the neck presses with 66 to 88lbs. 25 reps from 66 to 75, 22 with 79, 15 with 83,5 and 12 with 88. After one set of these, I did a set of chest flies before going back to the curls. After the workout was done, it felt like I had a decent pump going, so I measured my biceps. The left one was 45,2 cm (fully flexed) for the first time that I can recall. The right one was 44,5 cm, which is funny since my right arm is the dominant one, but hey I'll take it! I guess that would be around 18 inches, then?
  3. @Curt McGirt Drink plenty of water, tap or bottled but not carbonated. I would strongly recommend some resistance training to go along with the cardio. Even a slight increase in muscle mass will help you burn more calories during the day. Black coffee in the morning, green tea through out the rest of the day. No sugar. These are just tips. Whatever you decide to do, the changes should be such that they don't feel unsustainable. It should be a gradual process. Good luck with project, hopefully it will be successful and long lasting.
  4. Workhorsemen had a good showing. It will be interesting to see if Sting and Darby can actually beat Takeshita & Hobbs? I wonder if Copen Challenge will be a thing from now on? Kiera Hogan and Skye Blue got quite a bit of time in a "let's see if we can get THIS trending on social media?"-match. I'm shocked if it didn't. Claudio gets a showcase here and also Hangman on Dynamite! Oh holy shit, yes! The main event took quite a while to get really going but by the ending stretch it was awesome! Oh yes, a trios match next! Don't mind if I do! Oh yeah, and Eddie vs Trent Barretta was aces! Trent's biggest wins always seem to be the contenders' matches to get the title matches that he loses! Great effort, though! HOOK going after Samoa Joe? OK, this is the first time it feels like he maybe bit off more than he can chew. Let's see how that goes for him? Rampage thoughts: Hardy heel turn in the works? OK, I'm listening. That had to be the closest Anna Jay has come to beating Shida! I thought the sunset flip got three! So Saraya makes Cameron flirt with both Angelo and Ruby. Bold strategy, Cotton!
  5. I use Sports Life Whey 80 or Whey 100 Chocolate + Stevia, mixed Sports Life Recovery Chocolate. It is inoffensive at the very least. Best value for money I have found so far. It used to be way cheaper 3 years ago, though! First workout of the week with dumbell incline bench. 6 sets, first and last with 83,5's and rest with 88's. Did my first set of 10 with 88's with the seat straight up. That fucked up the other sets, though. Getting around 7 reps with others. 3 sets were with the seat straight up, 3 with one notch down. 6 sets of hammer curls with the same weights. Also did lat pull-downs with resistance bands and some lighter curls. An OK start for the week.
  6. For just a little bit around the same time when Paul was there. Nothing significant came of it. She was on one of the Mae Young Classics.
  7. Yeah, it was already pretty remarkable that he showed up in '98 managing the Harris Twins against LOD and still in ridiculous shape for that one six man tag. Then showing up in NXT to manage Authors of Pain and now many years after that back in that role on the main roster. That's precious.
  8. Yeah, can't remember clearly, but Bandido/Danielson was especially terrific. Speaking of Bandido, I hope he'll be healthy enough soon, as after Vikingo vs Taurus matches, I absolutely need Vikingo vs Bandido AND Bandido vs Taurus in my 2024!
  9. Back to work, so 3 workouts this week. This week has been freezing over here, so only one bike ride to work and back. Yeah, not used to -25 to -30 degrees celsius weather. Some of the stuff I did this week: 88lb one arm overhead dumbell press. Cleared it with left, not quite with the right arm. Also did a couple of reps with 79, 72 and 5 reps with 66. Incline bench dumbell press with 88's with the seat one notch down from straight up, 4 sets 14, 10, 12, 10 reps and 4 sets of hammer curls. Standing double bicep curls with dumbells from a pair of 31's all the way to a pair of 57's. Granted, the 57's were just really high hammer curls, since I could not supinate, especially with the left wrist. 10 sets of regular bench from 164 to 269 and back mixed in with 9 sets of seal row from 154 to 275 and back. 3 sets of seal row were with 275 going for 5 reps each and maybe 2 reps of each set were not bad. While this was nothing particularly special, but upperbody-wise the time off has not really adversely affected my strength levels, albeit not increased them, either.
  10. This happened pretty soon after Darius returned from his injury and BEFORE Dante shattered his leg.
  11. Yes for Samoa Joe promo! Hangman vs Swerve with winner facing Joe should be really good. What will the stipulations be, though? Takeshita vs Darby was wonderful, the 4-way for Eddie's Crown was an interesting combination of talent. OC vs Martin was obviously very good. Ok, not a huge fan of Private Party but I absolutely have to see them vs Top Flight, to settle which one of the Young Bucks upsetting teams is the better one! Good for Jay White to question Cole's methods, despite agreeing with the purpose. Wardlow had to be like, not THIS shit again, when the title relinquishing came up, but I'm sure he won't sweat it. He'll just powerbomb the shit out of Cole when the time comes. I doubt he'll wait around to do it for as long as he did with MJF, though. Ok, Luchasaurus, if that's your real name, time to grow some jurassic balls! Toni Storm doesn't watch wrestling! That was hilarious! May wins her debut but the real news is The Virtuosa! Garcia vs Swerve ruled, as did the dance-off with Nana.
  12. So yeah, AEW is out of DAZN but back on Triller TV. So, I quit DAZN and subscribed to TNA+. I also need to resubscribe to Triller's AEW+ later this month. Well, this problem wasn't as bad as I thought.
  13. And this time, it's almost ironic, since you would have to think that Frank Stallone would more about "Stayin' Alive"!
  14. Yeah, first defence after the tournament and an exhausted Eddie drops the NJPW Strong OW title to idk, Takeshita? Oops, there goes the prestigeous North American Triple Crown. Maybe, just maybe they meant to say "collectively", instead, but made a mistake? Let's hope.
  15. Due to all the eating done during the holidays, I can barely gaze at my navel at the moment, but I agree AEW is still doing fine, despite not being what it once was. Match wise, this year was crazy, the PPV's were mostly insane, many different styles of awesome each time out. Continental Classic ruled, so many other good things throughout the year. I need to find a way to keep seeing the shows without delay, to keep the enthusiasm up this year too, if DAZN no longer carries AEW. Triller TV to the rescue, please?
  16. That has to be it, obviously, but there has been no notification or anything. At least FITE/Triller was decent enough to notify of the current 30-day delay on all AEW shows (save for PPV's) more than a month in advance. This once again puts me in a spot where there's no way to watch current AEW on a couple of day delay. Of course, there's enough to watch without it, but not a great start to the year, once again.
  17. Wow, all AEW material is gone from DAZN. Does anyone know anything about what's up with that?
  18. Sucks to be me, who has AEW+, but also PURCHASED every one the free PPV:s in the past two years. But for everyone who hasn't seen some of these, there's plenty of awesome stuff in there!
  19. It's New Year over here! Let's hope 2024 doesn't suck as much as this decade has so far. 2023 was not without merit, but holy shit, could we please have a decent one while my last good years are still winding down!? Everyone out there, have fun, stay safe and alive, appreciate life and people around you, while they are still there! This is a good, fun place. Let's keep it that way! There is still hope, even for wrestling (fans)!
  20. It's actually possible I've never actually seen that one, but yeah, that would be the first time an advantage like that took place and maybe it gave Nash an idea how to win next year as well?
  21. The Horsemen w/ Larry had the advantage and also won in '91. Pillman who was banged up before the match was also the man who ended up losing due to stoppage. But if you are referring to an actual one man advantage the NWO team had due to Curt turning, then yes absolutely. That was a first.
  22. Along with the percentages backing his theory up, the first time heels won a WarGames match, it was by beating the guy they had weakened prior to the match. Incedentally, this also happened to be the first time the team with the advantage actually won the match in the end. Winning isn't dependent on the entry advantage, as much as it is dependent on overall strong team and a smart order of entry. These days it also seems to be about what kind of weapons you bring in with you, but it wasn't always like that.
  23. And I will look forward to Jericho teaming up with Sammy Guevara and having long promos on every Dynamite and Collision for a whole year and watching every minute of that before I will entertain the thought of ever checking that account out.
