AEW's audience is much younger and socially conscious than what I would consider the average WWE audience. But even still, that only extends so far. I do think a chunk of the audience would be really put off if he's in the match. But the other chunk won't know any different and will be cheering just as loud as usual. Drinking and driving is a heinous thing to do. It's morally reprehensible. But I don't think it registers as high with the average person as we would like it to. Again I will be very happy to be proven wrong on all of this. I don't want him to be on the show until he gets help. AEW has about 10 teams that are legitimately believable to insert here instead of The Hardys. Or as has been mentioned Matt & Darby together. Or even Matt & Sting or whatever. I'd prefer Team Taz or FTR or The Lucha Brothers or Ropongi or like 5 or 6 other acceptable teams here. I'm just skeptical it will happen.

I'm sure this will not be a post that gets many likes... and I don't like that it'll be happening either but... I don't see them pulling Jeff from the match. He's out on bond. His court date is tomorrow. They will handout whatever fine & community service and mandatory rehab treatments they hand out... and he'll be free to do whatever he wants on Wednesday. If he is sober and can effectively work (by whatever standards they use), they'll let him be in the match. I mean Jimmy Uso had the same thing happen and he didn't miss any time. That was also his third DUI in 10 years. I'll be happy to be proven wrong on this. But as long as Jeff Hardy is available to work, and wants to work, I don't see him being pulled from the match.

That match graphic is dope. Dig the graphic style and both people getting Japanese Kanji under their name, since it is a joint show meant to be viewed by both countries.

Just a couple notes since I just got around to watching this. That's what O'spreay sounds like? His accent was extra thicc to the point I thought he was working some new character lol. He also did not look very good. I didn't watch his NJPW main event run, last I really saw of him was the Ricochet stuff. And I did enjoy that stuff a lot. But this match didn't even seem like the same performer. On the whole tho that main event was pretty solid. Mustache dude in OE looked the best. Young looking guy & O'spreay didn't really mesh well with FTR. Also WHY OH WHY did they let him wear out The Rev Pro Title? TOO. MANY. BELTS. Ugh. Stalander vs Velvet was Velvet's best match. But I wish they dialed down the kickouts in this one. Stat hit that dope roll though German into the Low Ki deal and the crowd was HOT. They wanted that to be the end. But Velvet kicked out. Then Velvet got some falseys in. They went past the peak and ended on the downward slope. Would have been better to hit The Big Bang Theory (fuck that shitty new name BTW) after the roll through German and end it there. That said, this angle is def working. Athena is over. Statlander is over. Jade is over. The whole baddies thing is over. The TBS Title story is reallllyyyyy eclipsing the women's world title by quite a bit right now. Also also, I'm low key annoyed Statlander isn't an alien anymore. I think that added more to her than being generic power lady. But I may be in the minority there. Regardless, she's the woman on the roster I most enjoy watching.

I agree with his assessment. That's the way it looked to me too. But I'm also biased because I've noticed how poorly Rosa treats a lot of the enhancement talents too. It's a story of two Rosas. She treats people she sees as on her level one way, and she treats people she perceives as below her another way. At least those are the optics I've picked up on.

Not quite what I was looking for. That's a gimmick. I meant a straight up someone was just DQ'd for closed fist punching. No heel authority figure involvement or special ref deal. Just someone being DQ'd for it straight up. I'll go ahead and assume Eivion & Blue Dragon are right and they made it "officially" legal 2008. But unofficially no one ever got DQ'd for it to my recollection. (Outside of gimmickry).

Not harsh enough. This is a situation where he should have lost his job. One, because he's Jack Del Rio and he's not very good. But two, because spreading lies and hate about BLM is dangerous and wrong. How many of his players are going to have some anger towards him over it? How effective can he be if he's lost the players already? Weak move.

I'll take the under. Cena is super human so we shouldn't use him as the measuring stick. But he tore his pec off the bone in October of 2007 and was back in time for The Rumble 4 months later. This is WWE purposely extending the time frame some when he comes back in 6 months it's a surprise. He'll be back by The Rumble. And odds on favorite to win it.

Hogan's comeback involved punches to back them to the rope to send off for his big boot. So in WWE closed fists have been legal since 1984ish it would appear. They wouldn't have had their tippy top squeaky clean babyface breaking the rules and cheating to win, would they? Frowned upon? Sure. But not illegal. At least that's always how I interpreted it. Did anyone ever get DQ'd in WWE for closed fist punching after 1984?

I can answer this one for you. It is way easier to layout and format a few hot spots in a battle royal that everyone is already in there to begin with. 5, 6, 7, 8, people get penciled in for a nice spot that you can time out evenly. A royal rumble is also easier to layout and format. One person in every so often so you can structure a narrative and a pacing. When you're throwing FIVE people in there all at once you just can't format that well. Even the newer format where the five guys have subsequent entrances vs all coming out at once hasn't done a good job alleviating it. You got Dante about to hit a cool spot on Fenix and the camera pulled away to show the next person's entrance and missed the shot. It just doesn't work as well to string along narratives or pacing with nothing, then boom a burst of five dudes trying to shine at the same time. Either do an old fashioned everyone in battle royal, or do a royal rumble. Trying to come up with their own original format has just fallen flat.

I'm fine with that opinion. But the TBS Title doesn't have the Tru TV logo on it or anything, so even if dumb it's not a mistake. Not only is All-Atlantic a dumb name that doesn't really make any sense, you have flags from counties that are decidedly not in The Atlantic on the title. Making it incorrect. Double whammy. Dumb name and geographically inaccurate. Hence why it annoys me so much.

I hear yeah. Having him take the fall here would lessen the impact of him or JAS taking a fall in Blood & Guts. But if they just do a whatever gaga slip on a banana peel finish and not emphasize it as being a big time blow to the group, it won't make that much of a difference. But if they have Jericho be distracted by Kingston on the ramp with gas, gets rolled up, and gets a haircut... it gets JAS to drop the entertainment facade and get serious for the big blood feud match. So it can still add fire to the big match the other way around. I'm also not so sure JAS lose. Blood & Guts wasn't the blowoff for IC vs Pinnacle. Blood & Guts might not be the blowoff here either.

You shouldn't be. The Arena Anarchy match was a glaring flashing blinking light as to what Jericho's hair really looks like. He has a pretty bad Shawn Michaels thing going when he can't keep it dry. Almost the Bill Murray from Kingpin. I noticed this the night of the PPV and had assumed Jericho watched the match back and decided he didn't want that to be his look. But instead of a radom hair style change he went old school and went to TK about a hair match to get something positive out of it.

He came off the top rope. That counts as going over the top. You're coming off the top. Off the top = over the top regardless of how you get there. You've cleared the threshold of the top rope and landed on the ground. You're out. It isn't the NFL where if you go out of bounds you have to re-establish two feet in bounds before anything you do counts.

Woof... They have to STOP DOING CASINO BATTLE ROYALS. The format sucks. Everyone's shine is missed by the next guy's entrance. Too much is happening and you can't make sense of it. Darby did a Coffin Drop from the top to the floor, how is that not an elimination? Garcia & Kingston went through the middle rope, how are they eliminated? These fucking suck. Bite the bullet and switch it to a regular Royal Rumble format already. This was the worst one of these yet. They keep getting worse. So why are there flags for China & Japan (which are not in the Atlantic by the way) on this title? Why do they need another men's single's title? Why does it have to have such a convoluted name and concept? All-Atlantic is the worst name for a title (outside of 24/7, but that's a comedy prop not a real title) in national wrestling history. The design is also VERY close to The Women's World Title and this is *not* a good message to send. Women's Top Title equal to Men's middle of the card title? To have someeee positivity here I thought David Finlay looked great and his match with Hangman was good. O'Riley was a bad choice to face Moxley but the match was hard hitting and dope. Wardlow is going to squash Scorpio Sky eventually, that'll make the TNT Title seem important again. But is that now the TV Title (third in line) and the All-Atlantic would be The US Title (second in line)? Pac v Murphy was solid too, but they did not kick it into that extra special gear. AEW is making some choices that are not my cup of tea here lately. I'm still very pro-AEW. But TK needs to start getting some input on these weird ideas. No one is going to have 100% good instincts. And some of his worst ones are starting to show through.

I really like that idea. Here's where you run into an issue, that is a full on demotion for Rosa. You aren't going to get her to go along with that. Sure saying we'll use you more with the TBS Title because that is more like the workhorse title seems like a good carrot to dangle. But it's an instant 'we made a mistake' vibe sent to her. It's all a work, but the personal pride and professional egos involved in decisions like that are why you don't ever see them. Has a similar switch ever happened? World Champ takes mid card champs' title, only for mid card champ to then take World Title shortly there after?

As a casual gamer I love the original Sonic games. Sonic 3D is where they lost me. Just lost all sense of direction in a 3D environment for that character. Mario worked in 3D because he jumps around and squishes people. He doesn't run into a ball flying at the speed of light. Although Sega Tennis on the 360 was fun as hell. They should have just spammed the Mario blueprint. Platformers, party games, racing games, cartoon sports games, a smash brothers kind of game. I never checked out any of the open world style games or 3D kind of games. I love Crash Bandicoot. That feels like what Sonic should have evolved into. A platformer with 3D elements. Should have dialed back the speed gimmick and used it only for sliding rails or doing the occasional speed loops. All that being said, I've already pre ordered the Sonic remaster coming out this month. 1,2,3, & Sonic CD with updated graphics & challenges and stuff. I'd LOVE if Mario stuff could cross over to non-Nintendo systems and do the same thing. But yes I'm well aware that's Nintendo's money maker and that will never happen as long as Nintendo has it's own consoles.

Yeah if left unattended it could be super serious and never heal right. But I know there was an LA Ram that tore his pec off the bone during the playoffs but he still played during The Super Bowl this year (Eric Weddle). So it's not just a wrestling thing. The NFL allowed it too. In Cody & Seth's cases they are more than capable of working around it too. They did some gruesome stuff, but they didn't reach past what Cody could handle. No Gorilla Presses or anything. So while extremely painful, still relatively safe. Much less dangerous than working with a concussion at the very least.

This will be interesting to see play out. That's certainly how they had Cody word in the promo they did from the stadium. I know Meltzer said that it was a slip of the tongue that got past production... but that's pretty hard to believe. With how micro managed all the verbal content is, you gotta think that was said for a reason. I guess we'll find out.

It's my understanding that once a muscle is torn off of the bone, you can't really make it any worse. It's already at the absolute worst it can be. So it's not like he could damage it any further. He already requires surgery to reattach the muscle to the bone. At that point it becomes a pain tolerance issue. If he can get through the physical pain of it to work, then there's not a lot of harm in clearing him to work. The problem can't get any worse than it already is.
