The card will get filled out by tomorrow's tapings, but here's what's been announced:

FOR THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP: Tomasso Ciampa (c) vs. Aleister Black

FOR THE NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Bianca Bel Air

    ----

I'll guess, Gargano/Ricochet for the NA Title and UE vs War Raiders or Onesie-Twosie for the tag titles, but that will get sorted out soon.

    onesie-twosie?

    RIP

Watching old Nitro’s makes you realize how much you need a Gene Okerlund out there to make sure wrestlers don’t drown on live TV. Like just think how much better RAW would be if Baron Corbin wasn’t “Acting” in the ring.

Its been said multiple places besides here, but Gene really never got enough credit for how damn good he was at this. He could hold together interviews like literally no one else. Plus, he could react to anything thrown his way. 99% of the backstage interviewers are basically human mic stands. Gene registered disgust at the heels, took joy in celebrating with a babyface, and had great, "this man is crazy" reactions to some of the lunatics he had to interview. We need more like him, but there's no one you could ever do better.

Now can we please protect the Fink? Please?

  3. Random observations from my 68 year old dad who randomly decided to watch this show with me:

"What the hell is wrong with John Cena's hair?"(and proceeded to laugh his ass off at Becky throwing him out of the ring)

"How can Randy Orton lose? He's so damn big!"

"Holy shit, this Ali guy is GREAT."

And then we had to start binge watching 205 live so the old man could see more of Mustafa Ali. You can get the attention of a guy who hasn't given a shit about wrestling since the attitude era, they might be onto something with this Ali kid.

WWE has done two things in recent years that really hurts the success of a new major promotion. First, they signed everybody. Second, they stopped releasing people and gave performers financial stability.  Your average mid-carder does not have a history of drawing and is already making a lot of money.  How much are they even worth to a new promotion? Why would someone throw mid-six figures at a Cesaro without any way to recoup it?

I don't see where the talent pool is coming from unless there is another shoe to drop. (Talent share with New Japan? CM Punk sighting?) It's not a coincidence that what we know so far resembles a reshuffling of the ROH roster.

That being said, all of this speculation about rosters is way more fun than discussing Cena's hair.

This is 100% speculating on my part, but my gut feeling is that he may not wrestle, but CM Punk will be a part of this is some way. At bare minimum, he makes an appearance at Double or Nothing.

The 4-way was fun. Everyone got in their moments and I kind of dug the comradery between Io & Mia. Bianca/Shayna will be interesting.

The tag titles match was good, easily the best match Heavy Machinery has had on NXT tv.

I kind of love Ciampa pushing Gargano to go after Ricochet's belt.

There really isn't enough love for how much more of a bastard Ciampa has been since Gargano has begun his descent to the dark side. This prick KNOWS Johnny is on the verge of losing it, so all of the sudden he pokes the bear like only he can, since this used to be his best friend. How does he finally beat Black? Ciampa helps him! All the posts on the Twitter machine about how Ciampa didn't hate Gargano, he hated the fans for turning their backs on him. Then he throws out how awesome it would be if they both won gold(but not Goldie, because that belongs to Ciampa). Tommaso is SO EVIL and I love it!

While watching (and enjoying) Sid vs Michaels Survivor Series ‘96, I was reading Sid’s wiki page.

He’s been married to same woman since 1983. Pretty impressive for anyone, especially in this business.

Anyone interacted with him? Nice guy?

My buddies and i met sid outside the Louisville gardens for a wwf show. It was maybe 20 degrees out, sid shows up sweating buckets in a t-shirt and fist bumped us all. It was tremendous

Here is the WWE video on Top RAW moments

For those who can't/don't want to watch, the list is

    10) Austin stuns the McMahons

    9) Elias/KO roast Seattle

8.) The Balor Club (Balor, Anderson and Gallows tagging)

    7) Bayley and Sasha Fight (the time that was supposed to be Bayley's heel turn that never happened)

    6) The Shield reformation

    5) Ultimate Deletion

    4) Ambrose turns on Rollins

    3) The  RAW Gauntlet match - specifically Rollins wrestling forever

    2) Rousey beats up Steph

    1) SDL women invasion aka "The Man Comes Around"

I can't stop laughing at Shane's face in that video. He's just hanging out, relaxing, clearly watching his old man getting stunned. Glorious!

Or have Aiden team with Nakamura as the Artistes. Nak needs the help more than Rusev.

You know, you could do worse then this idea. Aiden was kind of the sleeper getting over in this whole deal, but you can't argue that he wasn't a big part of the Rusev Day surge. You could tie in the whole "forgetting" how to speak English deal from a while back with Aiden talking for Nakamura "because a true artist of his caliber will not lower himself to speak to people like you." Plus, I know I'm not the only one who wants to hear Aiden do the sing along with Nakamura's entrance,

Watched the Scott Hall photographs episode last night, and I quite enjoyed it. He seems more together than I have seen him in years. He also seems quite grateful for the career he had. I appreciated his story about Larry Z helping him in the early days and how he tried to pay it back years later when he was on top at WCW.

Scott is always one of the biggest "What could have been" stories I think I have ever seen in wrestling. When this guy is clear headed and can suppress his asshole tendencies, he comes off so smart and so knowledgeable about the way things should be and the best ways for dudes to get over. As much as he has talked about wanting to do it, I would love to see him working alongside Shawn in NXT. Maybe he could be the guy to fill the Dusty void and help people channel their characters and make better promos

  11. If we are giving the Good Brothers a show on the network(which we absolutely should), can we please get a return of Talking Shop? Or just the guys talking about whatever is on their minds  for a half hour? Hell, I could go for a repeat of the Steve Austin podcast and have them do some "novel reading" again.
