A hope, a dream: sub 3 hour PLEs each month over bi-monthly sorta 5 hour PPVs. Imagine a full show with sustained crowd heat. Dy-no-mite!

It’s funny. The 2 1/2 hour 5 match nxt ppvs were universally praised. Unanimous praise for the length of the shows and matches. And yet, every freakin company insists on making shows longer and longer. Imagine sitting through a 5 hour movie or football game. It’s totally ridiculous.

  2. Got my Oakland ticket to go along with Stockton and Inglewood. Throw in a wwe house show and a couple Indy shows and I’m gonna be burned out af when this live run is over. Should get a couple month break before new japan returns to the bay though.

Masaaki Mochizuki is coming back to the US for the first time in like a decade.  He's going to be wrestling for Revolver in Des Moines so I think I'm driving down because when do you have the chance to see Mochizuki live?

Hes also working LA on 12/3 so I’d imagine other dates as well.

You're over-thinking it. Buying a company costs money. Endeavor wants some of that money back. The easiest way to do that is to go on a cost-cutting massacre via layoffs.

Technically there wasn’t any sale, the two companies merged together. It would make sense for there to be redundancies in the offices but not amongst talent. This is something else.

  5. Nice, looks like I’ll be attending 6 wrestling shows in 7 weeks coming up. This is the venue I’ve been saying they should have run for Northern California since before the first shows were announced. This is the correct venue. Not the freakin cow palace, not chase center right now, certainly not Stockton arena. This is the sweet spot.

  6. If the live ppvs were included I would pretty much sign up. It’s $120 if you just want the live ppvs and $120 if you want all the rest. I’d pay $120 for the total package, but $240 is a bit much. Hopefully this all gets rolled into max at some point anyway.

Crazy stat: Cagematch isn't perfect but it's pretty good for 2010s-2020s stuff certainly.

    • Billie Starkz has 417 matches on Cagematch
    • Britt Baker has 259
    • Jamie Hayter has 255
    • Willow Nightengale has 408

I don’t have honor club but I really wish Billie and Athena were on my tv every week.

Finding out this morning that it’s really difficult to explain to a 6-year-old who still believes wrestling is real that a wrestler got fired for fighting with another wrestler backstage when he sees that happen every week.

You have to do the Lionel Hutz thing: “there’s fighting” *big smile and nod your head* “and there’s fighting” *sternly shake your head no*

Is there a reason why they can't lower the price of tickets to see if it will boost attendance?

I don’t think there’s a huge correlation between prices and sales, but there probably is a sweet spot that they aren’t hitting. The upcoming Arthur Ashe show has lower level tickets for $250 for a tv taping. That’s just ridiculous. That should be the max for ringside for a tv show. But the Stockton show has lower level for $20, and those aren’t moving either. You need to promote an event that people want to go out and attend, anything else is just an excuse. If people wanted to go, they would go.

Riding the wave here toward a bigger money deal with the WBD.  Points on the board.

Still I wonder what can be done to improve the weekly crowd turn out.

Wembley as a one and done and making such a big splash IS greatness and all.  But the Canada tour really seemed to struggle from the news I’ve read both here and elsewhere.

Perhaps the burden of selling several shows vs. a single biggie has to approached differently even when the common metric is two underserved markets being booked first time ever.

Not sure that approach would be.

There’s no easy answers on attendance. Every place they’re returning to is way down from the previous time through. They didn’t light the world on fire the first time in Northern California, and the return next month, in a venue possibly worse than cow palace just based on location, is sitting at 2k sold and I don’t see what’s really going to boost that. They need someone/something to get red hot and you can’t just snap your fingers to make that happen. I’m hoping after this ppv cycle we get some fresh exciting programs.
