  1. After that match last night... I'd like to see Gargano and Ciampa have a Misawa/Kawada like career long battle where it takes Ciampa forever to finally get a pinfall over Gargano when he essentially beats him to a pulp in every match.
  2. I love Luger's wild nonsense promo - What does the X stand for?!?
  3. I'm just throwing this out right now that Swann Lee would be a fantastic name.
  4. Shouldnt Cena vs AJ be a Hair vs Hair match at this point? Or are we at the indentured servant portion?
  5. WCW had the two best refs in the 90s. The late Mark Curtis and Nick (Son of The Assassin) Patrick. Pee Wee Anderson, Mickey Jay and of course we camt forget Lil Naitch! Mark Curtis though... he was the best. You could just see how much fun he had out there.
  6. I dont know why shes complaining. We all know shes being called up full time after Takeover.
  7. Has any old timer talked to Jojo about getting that insured by Lloyds of London?
  8. You just reminded me of Scott Steiner asking the ref to count his pushups instrad of pinning his opponents
  9. I soent last night watxhing the dyong days if WCW... in retrospect to what the WWE has been deliverinf on its really not that bad. Scott Steiner is absolutely badass in hindsight as World Champion just being completely crazy. Jason Jett was a good bit of fun. Shannon Moore is the first guy i ever saw that didnt make Misterio look like a dwarf. And Booker... wow... he had a presence.
  10. If Duggan never went to New York we would all probably hold his career in the same light as "Dr Death" Steve Williams. His UWF stuff was great. Could you imagine that Duggan tearing it up in AJPW and mauling Tsuruta?
  11. I'm going to assume Riddick Moss took the fall in that 6 man.
  12. When i first saw Dolph Ziggler i first thought he was Curtis Axel (who I hadn't seen yet) during the years I was quasi-paying attention to the WWE. He just looks and sells like a guy that would be the son of Mr Perfect.
  13. I think you guys are reading too much into it. I also don't see any swastika's on his fb page. He's a Conservative, not a racist. He posted about the passing of Dennys Green and how he was a pioneer for African American coaches and how he was the Captain of the ship during his years with the Vikings and how his son loved them. I don't see anything racist at all in his comments.
  14. it's pretty surreal watching a 1999 AJPW match between two north American female wrestlers in a night club in northeastern US. I loved that match!
  15. I don't think anyone is poo-poo'ing his heeling... more his in ring ability, which I'm placing that blame on the WWE for being so vanilla and Jeff Jarrett like. I actually like The Miz as a person and character. I've never seen a bigger company man than The Miz, and when he does charity work you can see that he cares. His heel character is 80s level Flair and it probably would be a huge benefit for him to have a tag team as cohorts (perfect use for Anderson/Gallows).
  16. Hugh Morris must've been a bigger ass than I realized.
  17. I was going for WCW post 98... but thst works too.
  18. Would it be safe to say that the detriment to Miz as a wrestler is that he in a sense came from a factory? WWE Developmental guys tend to remind me of the old WCW Power Plant guys... just absolutely cookie cutter. Phenomenal shape... but vanilla.
  19. But here's the catch - the promoter makes money when the fan is happy. We've seen what happens when the promoter doesn't make the fan happy.
  20. Who is that in the ring against Cap'n Redneck? I forgot his name... but he was damn good and those strikes are some of the best I've seen in a long time.
  21. Dude. Ron Garvin was legit! It's more like Tommy Rich.
  22. King Kong Bundy headlined a Wrestlemania. That's the only counter argument anyone ever needs.
