  1. Oh cool, somebody posted these again. Is the "cocaine" one with the Cuban Assassins back up?
  2. At least when WWE does an angle where Michael Cole is being told something by the guys in the production truck, they pretend that he was told it during the commercial break, rather than interrupt Cole and Lawler as they're setting up the next match/skit.
  3. Um, K-Mart IS aware that it's 2013 and not 1993? Also, pretty much every school system in America now has a pretty tough "anti-hoodie" policy these days, so hyping the fact that you can buy hoodies at K-Mart is a pretty good way to alienate every educator in the country from K-Mart.
  4. 1) According to Google, there actually was a magazine called "Sports Review: Wrestling" in the early 1980s. 2) Did not know that was Luna. She looks about 40 years old there, though the hair style doesn't help much. 3) I really can't tell if that slap was supposed to be as stiff as it was. Either Luna was one hell of an actress or she was really shaken up there. (Though given stories of how crazy Luna and her father were, it would not surprise me if she told Kevin to lay into her before they shot the angle). 4) Shows had bad things were when BJ Mulligan is the lead face, and he would bolt for the WWF not long after this. Was this when Scott McGhee was getting a huge push? 5) I'll give credit to Bob Roop for being a trooper. I doubt when he was at the 1968 Olympics he envisioned spending his twilight years with half his hair shaved off and foaming at the mouth.
  5. Yeah, this angle couldn't be done today.
  6. I'm sure I'll see it in six months when I leave HBO on in the background as I work at home, but no way in hell I'm paying to see this in a theater.
  7. A woman getting hit Former Olympian Bob Roop as a brainwashed devil worshiper The phone call in the middle of the angle Buddy Colt showing almost no concern over a woman getting decked It's 1985 in Florida, and Wahoo McDaniel is your booker!
  8. My cousin has told me to just sell my car and use the bus to get everywhere.
  9. So I may be moving to Seattle this spring. Just curious about people's thoughts on the city and the people who live there (I've liked the city from when I've visited my family out there). I just want to make sure I'm not going to end up in a city full of hipster douchebags or aging hippie rejects from the TV show Portlandia.
  10. It's like once he retired, Paul Jones' interview skills went into the toilet.
  11. My bad, it was actually the debut at the Nassau Coliseum and involved Tully/Arn/Big Bubba/Midnights vs. Dusty/Ron Garvin/Barry Windham/Rock N Rolls. Still, I want to see that just because it was totally different from Horsemen vs. Road Warriors/Nikita/Dusty
  12. They released the next batch of the 30 for 30's about a month ago: October 1. Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau. This film will examine the tragic life of Hawaiian surfer Eddie Aikau, and is directed by Sam George.October 8. Free Spirits. This one is going to look at the Spirits of St Louis leading into the NBA/ABA merger, and how the team is still existing and making money for their owners today. It's directed by Daniel H. Forer.October 15. No Mas. The name should tell you all you need to know about this documentary: a look behind the scenes of the two fights between Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard. The director is Eric Drath.October 22. Big Shot. Hey, another hockey documentary! Big Shot will break down the scandal involving John Spano's attempted purchase of the Islanders in 1996, and is directed by Kevin Connolly.October 29. This is What They Want. Jimmy Connors' miraculous run in the 1991 US Open is examined, and is directed by Brian Koppleman and David Levien.November 5. Tonya and Nancy. This is another one where the title makes it obvious what the subject matter will be: the incident between figure skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding in 1994. The director is Nanette Burstein. I have this bad feeling that golf on Fox would be the equivalent of the "IT'S IN THE HOLE" chants in the crowd Also can't figure out why anyone would want an extra hour of College Football Gameday. It already drags like hell after 90 minutes just waiting to see Corso put the mascot head on. HBO already did an excellent documentary about the Duran-Leonard fight, but that was 20 years ago when Duran did his comeback, so I guess it's okay if they rehash it.
  13. I'm really starting to hate NFL Network. I tune in yesterday and they're quizzing Martellus Bennett on his Harry Potter fandom, when they could have been showing classic games or something.
  14. Maguire told Harras/Johns/Didio to fuck off when they tried to impose their will on the title?
  15. Funny seeing a (very) young Adam Scott as the helmsman of the USS Defiant in Star Trek: First Contact.
  16. Actually had a co-worker who got written up because he was walking around the office imitating the camel and shouting "HUMP DAY!!!!! HUMP DAY!!!"
  17. Has Moffat given any indication on how much longer he plans to stick around as producer?
  18. So Czaban is going to have to actually talk about sports again instead of talking about how much he hates Obama?
  19. I like how the 2 Live Stews "no compete" ended almost six weeks ago and The Game didn't immediately offer them a contract. God, their national show on Sporting News Radio/Yahoo Sports was just awful, I can only imagine what their local Atlanta shows were like when they were limited to Falcons/Hawks/Bulldogs/Yellowjackets/Threshers/Braves.
  20. As the title says, what are matches/shows in the WWE library that you wish they'd put out on home video? - Starrcade 83-88, complete and uncut - Midnight Express vs. Barry Windham/Ron Garvin, U.S. tag titles tournament finals - The Big Event - The Big Event 96 (Shawn vs. Goldust ladder match) - Jim Crockett Promotions debut in at the Meadowlands with War Games III (Tully/Arn/Midnights vs. Dusty/Nikita/Rock N Rolls) from November 87 - All of the David Von Erich Parade of Champions, complete and uncut - All of the World Class Star Wars shows, complete and uncut - A Rick Rude retrospective - Cactus Jack vs. Vader Texas Death Match, Halloween Havoc 93 - AWA Super Clash 1, 2, & 3 complete and uncut - AWA Wrestle Rock - Nikita Koloff wins match 7 and the U.S. title against Magnum T.A. (David Crockett's greatest performance?) - The following Great American Bash 87 shows, complete and uncut - Atlanta with War Games I and Midnights vs. Rock n Roll title vs. title - Greensboro with Luger winning the U.S. title and Flair vs. Jimmy Garvin steel cage - Superstars on the Super Station - Supertowns on the Super Station - The history of the United States tag titles (every televised title change from 1986-1992) - Great American Bash 85 (Charlotte Stadium show) complete and uncut - Crockett Cup 86, 87, 88 complete and uncut - "What The Hell Were They Thinking: The Most Politically Incorrect Angles/Skits in Wrestling History" - Saba Simba - One Man Gang becomes Akeem - Tim Horner brings out a young girl and claims that she was Kevin Sullivan's neighbor and implies that Sullivan sexually molested her, Sullivan comes out and slaps the girl - The Gangstas party with the SMW tag titles in the Atlanta ghetto - Dusty Rhodes has a reunion with a young girl who was "like a daughter to him," Kevin Sullivan comes out and throws ink in her eyes - Terry Funk smothers Ric Flair with a plastic bag - Woman canes Mikey Whipwreck in Florida - Dirty White Girl claims that her husband beat her up and gave her a black eye, when Tom Pritchard tried to help, Dirty White Boy attacks him and DWG laughs and claims the whole thing was a set-up - Clips of Bobby Heenan commenting during the Virgil vs. Ted Dibiase match from SummerSlam 91: saying he hoped Virgil didn't put a down payment on a boombox, and then saying that if Virgil won the Million Dollar belt he would chrome it and hang it from his rearview mirror - Teddy Long engages in some Uncle Tomfoolery as he scopes out Ric Flair's limo and yacht, and then Flair makes Long wear a chauffeur uniform in retaliation.
  21. I wish they'd have NFL films produce a documentary focusing on the actual on-the-field exploits of the Los Angeles Raiders, rather than do a documentary focusing mostly on how the Raiders affects Southern California culture.
  22. So...am I missing something or does the floating orb that sits on your coffee table in Mass Effect 2 go completely ignored in part 3?
