The final date to turn in an AWA ballot is extended to October 1st because of the problems in salavaging the old forum. That is the final deadline extension and we will have the results shortly after.

We will have 1980s lucha viewing parties just like we did for the AWA set.

In almost all cases, people who pick up Mid South almost always pick up Memphis at a later date and vice-versa.

There will be a few extras on the set but it will be some clips at the end of a few discs. I think we will show an El Santo Tribute, a Huracan Ramirez match clip (that KrisZ has a cool story about) and maybe Andre-Canek. clips. Nothing major. Finding footage wasn't hard because Alfredo is a warrior and we have friends of the project like Jose around. Yeah, I know there is access to the old forum one way or the other. Last update, the trick was to see if we can save just that forum and transfer it or maybe get it in archive form. I won't hold to the deadline until the forum issue is resolved. However, we will start promoting the lucha set and releasing the lucha 100 this week to get the hype rolling.

Rippa and Dean are working on this. As soon as we know if we can retrieve the old forum, we will have an update. We are about 80% done with the lucha set. Phil and I have a handful of matches to watch and we'll have the Lucha 100 list ready to go as soon as the new forum is up and running.

This is a serious question... how do you establish that 80% of your hearing is lost? Do you only hear 1 out of 5 words? Did you get your hearing tested? Is it just a guess?

OK, I talked to Phil Schneider tonight and since the lucha set is close to completion, we chose September 15th as the viewing deadline for the AWA set. Rippa said there may still be a way to transfer the 1980s folder over so I am holding off on creating a new one. That gives people almost 2 months to get their ballots finalized. The lucha set should also be ready to mail out by that time so it will all work out. OCTOBER 1ST !!!!

This is absolutely true. I was at the Vengeance PPV where Henry and Big Show broke the ring and unless you are next to them, you don't really understand how huge they are. When that ring broke, the whole crowd went fucking nuts after going nuts for the last 5 minutes of the match. I was 3rd row at the TLC PPV in 2009 where Show and Jericho fought DX. Show goes over the barricade on our side of the ring and holy shit, he is so fucking huge and everything he does just looks like it hurts because of his size. I legit thought when he went over the barricade he was going to bring the entire thing down.

Driving back from Austin form Raw... Del Rio vs. Sheamus was fun live and Alberto didn't look like he was working light live. The next 90 minutes after that kind of sucked live but it picked up with the Punk promo & Bryan Daniel show. The Cesaro-Daniel match was a legit MOTYC. Ryback killed the crowd until the nasty powerbomb ending. Bummed no Bray Wyatt appearances. Oh and I forgot... My heart don't pump Kool Aid!

This is a topic that will probably get transferred to the 80s folder when we get that up and running. However, after talking to Kris and Phil, we are going to release the lucha set next. If you have any suggestions for matches that should be considered, please list your arguments here. We have tons of great matches guaranteed on the set but we don't want to overlook anything either and have to wait for the errata set before voting on it.

I think Blackwell and Andre are definitely in the conversation. We have great Andre matches as early as 1974 and as late as 1986. He went 45 minutes with Strong Kobayashi and it was amazing. I don't know if Henry has ever had a match as good as the Andre-Hansen match or Andre-Khan match from New Japan. Blackwell was minimum Top 10 worker for like 4 years straight of what we have footage of. Henry's run has been amazing since at least 2011. I want to see more Tenta either in All Japan (wishful thinking) and I might even go re-examine his WWF career. He showed so much potential in the All Japan tags from the 80s sets but I don't think he has ever had the peak that Henry has had.
