  1. Enjoyed the show! Two big matches in Rhea/Lynch and Sami/Gunther delivered and the drama in the main event was palpable even if it went too long. Plus it gave all the oppositional nerds something to grumble about, a wild success!
  2. Is Dragon Lee injured or did they get cold feet?
  3. Trips going hard on somebody “when I see people coming out of trying to make it, and then they pick a job where, well, they work less, the schedule is lighter, then I'm like, 'I'm glad I didn't pick you.' If you're not in it for the grind, at that point early in your career, you have no business being here” https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/triple-h-just-because-someone-succeeds-somewhere-else-doesn-t-mean-they-ll-succeed-big-time
  4. It doesn't bother me and sometimes it's funny. I mean more that it's nonsense than something I actively dislike
  5. That part he's always maintained, that's true. I think there was a period when Bischoff felt he had to hold back because of the reaction to his criticism from fans and Conrad and now he's going a little overboard to make up for it (or something) To me Eric is like Cornette or Disco and Konnan, they make good points occasionally but not all the time so you do have to wade through some BS to find it
  6. They've had Joey Janella, Colt Cobana, and Samoa Joe on before too. I guess those are less fit wrestlers
  7. Slim J vs Adam Priest is going to be so rad. I’m jealous of all who can attend. Have fun!
  8. 2nd ep of Wise Choices already feels desperate, not sure Eric would be worth the money. Like his opinion or not at least Cornette has been consistent throughout AEW's run, imo Bischoff was more neutral and supportive until he felt AEW was failing and he could jump on the bandwagon
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1vC5doiz84&ab_channel=WWEWomen'sWrestling In honor of Bull Nakano's induction into the HoF, here is her match against Alundra Blayze from Raw in 95
  10. Thanks @Greggulator, I appreciate the perspective. I don't want to get into it too much but I work on the other end of the financialized housing system, dealing with the fallout at ground level so to speak, and it just sucks that to fund some peoples' retirement we have to ruin others' Edit: Huh it didn't tag right
  11. It’s the real estate portion that I have beef with. Companies like BlackRock and groups like Real Estate Investment Trusts gambling on land/housing are what’s driving up rent and associated costs across Canada, but sometimes they’re tied to teacher pensions and it keeps people from fighting too hard even though they are getting screwed in the moment
  12. Thanks, that was my understanding too but it’s good to have experts weigh in. So it would only be affected in a 2008 type crash?
  13. What happens to the retirement funds if the investment is a loss?
  14. Haha nice one. And I gotcha, I like Matt and used to listen to WWW a lot but when the Bucks/Punk stuff came up I thought they were annoyingly one sided about it so I drifted away. Glad they’re still delivering for the fans though!
  15. Yeah he’s become insufferable ever since last summer
  16. The Mox bit? I’m fascinated by the Rocky 3 angle and I’ve heard Jon’s version of it so I was hoping to get CM’s as well
  17. Another good opening segment and I think Roman actually managed to out-promo Rock this time (well, until clystal crear). Someone had a "Dijak > Rock" sign, the board was represented New DIY/Judgement Day was good stuff except for Gargano going headfirst into the announce table, hope he's okay Oh hell yeah, a Zayn/Gable training montage (although a little too movie of the week for me). Cole pointed out the flaw in Sami's game against Bronson Reed plus the mention of Gable wearing Zayn out and I think Gunther's attack on Gable is a fake. Also, Reed disappeared and the match never ended? That was sloppy Ivar and Ricochet did it right. So weird there's just a mid-card Vader hanging around My favorite little moment was when Rollins was on his way to the ring for the main Seth: I ain't dead yet Drew: Yet. Another great beatdown to end Raw. Some of those belt shots sounded gnarly
  18. I liked the interview. Nothing earth shattering, Punk always has an angle on the truth and knows how to get under people’s skins but there were some fun insights and it was nice to hear things from the horse’s mouth. I wish he’d touched on Mox more since that’s my personal ax to grind
  19. https://www.postwrestling.com/2023/06/16/cm-punk-i-apologize-for-the-scrum-i-regret-that-and-i-handled-it-the-wrong-way-100/
  20. Stoked to listen to the interview! I'm a Punk guy so I'll enjoy it more than some of you
  21. JR thinks he's helping plus he's encouraged to be grumpy by his podcast audience and is too old to give a shit anymore, it's a volatile combo for live TV. I remember when Statlander first arrived and he refused to entertain her sci-fi backstory for even a second. In the long run it was the right call but there were better ways to handle it
  22. Wow, thanks Octo. Give it up for the young legend!
  23. Now Barry Windham and Terry Gordy are two guys I wish we had a chance to see wrestle each other more
