    It'll be interesting to see how these past couple of years will be looked back on. On one hand we have Daniel Bryan: WWE Champion, along with the rise NXT and all these indy guys finally getting their shot. On the other it seems like a lot of wasted potential with guys like Wyatt, Cesaro, Barrett, Sandow, etc.

     

    I think it'll be looked upon as a transitional era, a grey area between the Vince McMahon era and what comes after him.  The positives you mentioned (NXT, indy guys coming in) are not things being championed by Vince McMahon.  However the negatives are all Vince.  Start and stop pushes, ADD booking and letting talented guys fall by the wayside because of imaginary downsides are all McMahon specialties.  Small non-Vince changes are being made but the guy at the top still has final say.  Good things might happen but it could be for naught because of Vince.  Word is he's already souring on either Zayn or Neville because they're too flippy.  Can you believe that shit?

     

    The company is being run by a 69 year old man whose best days are behind him yet everyone still has to cater to his tastes and ever-changing whims.   As far as having a true, unified direction goes, WWE is in a holding pattern.

    How did they screw up the Wyatt's?! UGH. UGH! How did they screw up Bo Dallas?! Screw this company. My god, it's like they get to October every year and just say F it, see you all in January. Maybe.

     

    They don't book anyone to get over.  And if someone accidentally starts to get over, they don't give them enough booking attention to make it work.  Everybody is on a treadmill to nowhere and there's no point in watching their show.

    Right.  The videos allude to Harper leaving.  The Ascension as possible new family members comes from Da Meltz.

     

    Seriously, they look like two guys who met at the gym down the street and decided to give their local indy a shot.  If this were 15 years ago, I'd be watching them at a converted grocery store battling Duane Gill and Barry Hardy, maybe Neil "The Power" Superior and Hollywood Bob Starr if they were lucky.

    Random gym stupidity: My gym has two power cages.  There was a guy yesterday doing pullups using the bar in the cage.  Not bad, right?  Except his feet were on the other bar opposite it.  So he was essentially suspended 8 feet above the ground doing reverse pushups.  To illustrate:

    So...dumb thing or dumbest thing?  If his hands slipped, he'd be going down right on his head.  There was nothing he was accomplishing there that couldn't be done closer to the ground using a Smith machine instead.

     

    As always, I blame Crossfit for the rise in XTREME exercises like this.

    Speaking of managers, word is Luke Harper is splitting from the Wyatt Family (no word yet on Rowan's status) and that Waytt may end up managing The Ascension.

     

    If they go with this plan, they have to repackage The Ascension, right?  I mean I know they're HHH's favorites and he's into the whole Frazetta look but that's like oil and water with Wyatt's grimy southern gothic thing.  Or will the gimmick be that Wyatt discovered these two dudes at a fantasy con and brainwashed them?

     

    While we're at it, can I just mention how unimpressive the Ascension is?  The taller one just looks like generic 80s big guy #148 who'd be at home on some Road Warrior ripoff team like The Master Blasters.  The smaller one looks like Chris Daniels was finally able to afford a decent hairpiece.  They come off like two leather daddies cosplaying what they think wrestling is supposed to look like and they're just cartoony as fuck.

    Made it through Season 2 of Under the Dome. Jesus, this might be the best terrible show ever.

     

    I'll be watching Season 3 just for the "how much more ridiculous can we potentially get" factor.

     

    It hasn't been renewed yet and after that season, I'm not sure.

    Can we just say that American Beauty and Office Space are both shit?

     

    American Beauty is a lame movie about unlikable narcissists doing selfish things that somehow got passed off as having some sort of deep message.  It was overrated for its time but nobody even talks about it when discussing great films anymore, do they?  The plot is first world problem garbage.  Oh you're an older dude with a good job, hot wife and a decent enough kid but you're unhappy?  Please fuck off with that bullshit.  Who were we supposed to root for in that clusterfuck?  Wow, exposing the unhappy underbelly of suburbia was so artistic and transgressive, I'm sure it was never done before.  Typical offensive Hollywood cliches about a life that these writers know nothing about.  I'm coming to understand what right-wingers mean when they malign Hollywood when I watch American Beauty, and that's pretty fucking bad.

     

    Office Space is a middling comedy that is overrated right now.  People still quote this three-joke movie and it's been, what, over a decade?  Christ.  It's like "Clerks" for people who work in an office.  I remember somebody said to me, "oh you didn't like Clerks?  You must've never worked in retail."  THAT'S narrowcasting right there.  If you've worked a dead-end office job, you'll love"Office Space?"   Fuck you.  "Quotable" comedies can fuck right off.

    Oh Jesus Christ The Walking Dead.  I like the show but holy fuck the gun shit is terrible.  EVA just beat me to it but yeah, you have people hitting:

     

    1. Perfect headshots
    2. While running
    3. One handed
    4. With no previous training before the zombie apocalypse started

     

    Any one of those is difficult.  Add up all four?  Yeah...

    Speaking of hating Internet fans (which I differentiate from smarks), a few posts ago someone killed Kevin Dunn. These Internet turds don't even know what Kevin Dunn does or what crappy angles he was involved in, yet because they read a third hand account of an interview with a disgruntled former employee or some alleged backstage heat, it becomes neckbeard gospel. Here are the only known facts on Dunn...he has been the Producer of the most successful era of TV and PPV programming, and is richer than us as a result. Stop it.

     

    Oh please.  I'm the one who mentioned Kevin Dunn.  All we know about anything is second and third hand because none of us in the business so come off your "I'm better than you smart marks" high horse.  You're here posting, so you're no better than anyone and stupid posts like this one won't change that.  How do you feel about Vince Russo?  All we know about him, truly, is things written about him and mentioned on podcasts, same as Dunn.  But we all take that as gospel.  So what's the difference?  Or do you have zero opinion about anyone in wrestling?  You're ridiculous.  If you're so above this discussion, there's nothing making you read it or respond.
