Wow, really? This falls somewhere between "never paying taxes ever" and "selling the NWA belt to 3 different parties at the same time" on the Ric Flair List of Bad Ideas. On a related note, the cast and crew of The 4400 are campaigning to have it brought back. I enjoyed that show more than Firefly.

I may be wrong but wasn't the story that Booker was going to go over but then they signed Goldberg so they wanted HHH to stay the champ for a Goldberg feud? The dates match up as Goldberg debuted the following night, then feuded with HHH and won the belt in September.

The other thing I remember about Requiem was that the rental copy I got from the local video store (RIP Cranbrook Video) had a Harry Knowles writeup on the packaging with this creepy passage: Wait what??? I just looked that up and found it's part of this longer review that contains this full paragraph where you can practically smell Knowles' Cheeto sweat and Vaseline:

I'm convinced there are no planned brackets, storyline or anything. They taped a shitload of random matches and will show them in an order that gives the illusion of making sense. After a few weeks, they'll show a scoreboard unrelated to anything that came before it and hope the viewers don't remember. Wasn't that how they did the old Bound for Glory series the year Russo booked it, where in the end nothing added up and it made zero sense?

Oh god. Seriously, somebody needs to tell her that nobody cares about her BDSM, open relationship or whatever other kinks she has that she made sure to mention multiple times on Cornette's show. It's not shocking and doesn't make you cool or different. Bragging about your kinks on an unrelated podcast just makes you a tryhard desperate to come across as edgy.

Regarding people having issues reconciling the Triple H of old who would talk shit on people, hold people down, politic, etc with today's indy-friendly Triple H: people can mellow as they get older, change their opinions and views, etc. Nobody is static. Also, his actions and views evolved with his place in the company. Dude went from a hyper-competitive environment where it benefited his boss to keep him and his coworkers constantly insecure and job-scared to a place where he's a father and a businessman whose position in the company is safe. What would you expect?

Honestly, I usually just watch Raw on ffwd and just watch the matches I'm interested in. yesterday, I watched the whole thing and the stuff with the Authority just bugged the shit out of me because it's so counter to how wrestling is supposed to be booked to make money. But this isn't a wrestling company, it's a content generation firm with multiple revenue streams and whatever other buzzwords you like, so the actual wrestling product can be shit and they'll still do okay.

Exactly. Saw it once, understood it was well made and a good piece of work, never need to see it again. It did give us "ASS TO ASS" though. I recommended Requiem to a coworker. He texted me halfway through saying, "Why did you tell me to watch this? Did I do something to offend you? Why do you hate me?"
