  1. Funny thing, tons of people complained about booking then too. Crazy, I know. Also, I'll let one of my favorite current wrestlers say it
  2. You transition into Jey/Roman and Sami/Cody. Or you make the main event a Triple Threat. There are tons of options other then setting up a tag title match nobody cares about.
  3. You thought that sent the crowd home happy? I think you are nuts. That finish was massively deflating, and I don't think anyone is leaving that building happy. I thought that finish sucked dick, and them trying to pull a "happy ending" out of it was honestly just kind of pathetic.
  4. Amusingly, I’m the opposite. Audience scores mean absolutely nothing to me. Audience gave Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom a 77% and that movie was shit soup. People are going to like things they want to like to begin with unless it’s a special kind of bad.
  5. Man, haven't gotten into the HOF debate in a while. Yay. Anyway, Rolen to me was a no doubter, and him not being a bigger name is more about MLB and it's sportswriters in general being absolutely awful at recognizing elite players throughout most of baseball history, especially at 3rd Base and Center Field. Is it true he's not as good as Boggs, Beltre, or Chipper? Sure, I have no problem with that. But how many 3rd basemen in baseball history are better then those 3? Schmidt, Matthews, maybe Brett and Robinson, and A-Rod if you consider him a 3rd basemen. That's basically the list. And I'm not sure if Rolen is any worse then basically any other 3rd Baseman in baseball history. I've described him as his generations Ron Santo: Constantly great at basically all elements you could want a 3rd Baseman to be, but not so over the top great he was ever considered one of the tip top players for his era. It took way too long for Santo to get his due, and even though he primarily played on my teams greatest rivals, I'm glad he got the credit he deserved. Also, if we want to be critical of the sports writers on this, it should primarily be about how god damned hypocritical there Steroid shit has been. You elect Henderson, who it's basically an open secret did steroids, and you induct Ortiz who had a false test, but Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa, etc. are still on the outside waiting, and it's primarily due to how the players treated the sports writers themselves over the steroid issue, they just use that as an excuse.
  6. You saying all these names and not mentioning Paul London made me sad. He'd obviously be the best bet, even if they would never come close to matching the Epic Encounter.
  7. The weird thing is I have no idea who would be the best fit for this. The Briscoes have had amazing rivalries against so many opponents. I could see Joe, Lethal, one of FTR, even them bringing in Homicide for the role would be cool. Also, special shoutout to Jay Lethal. He was a hiring that seemed to get largely eye rolls as a reaction, but he's such a good midcard hand that can afford to take losses. One of the signings, and a safe hand to work with basically anybody.
  8. Well. Fuck. Been a big Briscoes fan for a long time. Thought his Cage match with Joe is the best "Escape the Cage" Cage Match of all time. Thought this series with FTR is one of the best tag feuds of all time, and I thought he was the best guy in every single one, and I love all 4 guys in said match. I sometimes wonder if he quietly grew into one of the top 5 wrestlers of this century and we just never talked about it because he never hit mainstream like all of his best contemporaries. But I can't really remember a bad performance from him, and I can think of tons of great ones. Even great ones in matches I wasn't crazy about because I didn't love his dance partner, I never thought Jay was the problem. Just.... Fuck.
  9. I would just like to come here briefly to announce that Justin Fields is good and this is deeply confusing to me.
  10. I guess I will play a tiny bit of devils advocate here, while also saying this shit is stupid and should be left behind closed doors (though that seems to have been nuked with the leaks anyway, but whatever) If (big if I guess) Punk is being honest and he had nothing to do with Colt being demoted, and the Bucks are the ones leaking the story that he did (which I do think is easily plausible with the history between the 2 and Meltzer), I understand him being livid. That’s absolute petty bullshit from people who are in a position of power on a national brand, and achieves nothing other then lighting fires. Not saying Punk isn’t an asshole in this situation, he 100% is, but if I may steal a Reddit thing, it seems far more likely this is a “Everyones the Asshole” situation instead of just Punk. Once more, assuming Punk is being honest. Or maybe this bullshit is a work and honestly, if it is I think I’m just out. My least favorite part of wrestling is the personal drama behind the scenes bullshit, and running angles on pressers and through wrestling journalists is the best way to make me give 0 shits about your company.
  11. To be fair, imo, everything past Rannoch is a bit of a chore, save the party. It’s kind of amazing how much Mass Effect 3 falls off a cliff after the 2nd act.
  12. So, after about a year, I've finally completed Mass Effect 2! And it only took 3 missions into 3 to get me back to ME3 multiplayer. Huzzah!
  13. Actually, turns out this was a bug, and has been corrected. I take back my anger, and am pleased.
  14. Typical Rockstar: New update reduces pay on both Agency missions and Payphone Hits. Agency missions went from 30-40k even at standard level to now 10-20k, which isn’t even worth spending time on, and the payout for Payphones is down to 50k per instead of 85k. Fuckers can’t help themselves.
  15. Well. Holy Fuck. I need to collect myself for thoughts on that main.
  16. I don't want to give them too much credit for fixing stuff that should have been fixed literally half a decade ago... But I am glad they finally hit them.
  17. DnD Movie realizing it should be Guardians of the Galaxy but Fantasy instead of Space is perfect. So many great DnD references, and Pine as the Bard is outstanding stuff. He 100% is getting a kill with Vicious Mockery.
  18. The big thing for me is being able to do literally anything in Invite Only. All I really wanted. Better pay for jobs is also pretty damned good.
  19. I don't know, I've thought we are past the point of this feuds expiration date. I assumed they ended it today because nobody is going to care about the match if they hold on for another PPV. Kingston has literally tons of other program options open to him, and this just seems to have stalled his development into a top act instead of solidifying it. This feud has been going on for half a year, and the best moments of it were in March and May. We are about to enter August. This feud has had Anarchy in the Arena, Blood and Guts, and a fucking Barbed Wire match. Where can you go from here that feels like escalation and not just "Okay, let's just end this."
  20. Main Event was exactly how not to do a big barbed wire match. Also, this feud is hitting diminishing returns and is cooling down Kingston. This was the time to have Kingston win clean and move on. Frustrating, as the rest of show was awesome. First two matches were great.
  21. Will also come in and dive on into the "making money in this game is easy and pretty fun" mindset, also as someone who doesn't actually play Cayo (I just find it boring to be honest, even if it is financially easy). My current usual GTA run is Spawn in at my Agency and do a mission there. Preferences are Vehicle Recovery, Liquidize Assets, and Recover Valuables (Yes, sometimes Recover takes you up to the stupid Monkey mission, which sucks, but the other 2 are really easy to run fast from downtown). Every 5 missions you do from this raises your passive money income here 5,000 dollars, permanently, up to a max of 500 missions to get a passive income of 50,000 each in game day. I'm at about 120 missions done, but plan to just plug away constantly to raise the gap since hte missions themselves pay pretty damned well. Payphone Hit. Even without the bonus it's regularly 85,000 per success, it's currently doubled 170,000 which is stupid money for 5 minutes of work, which is what most of these are. Check to make sure Nightclub Pop is maxed out: 50,000 a passive day is no god damned joke. I'm willing to rebook at 10,000 a pop to keep that number going, especially as I'm making good money regardless Buy some Cargo: Yes, not many like these missions, but they are like comfort food to me. I own 5 Max sized Warehouses, one currently full, the other 4 half full, and this is my "Rainy Day Fund". One of them my goal is to have only the Special Items in every single spot to eventually sell on Double Money to make insane money for my amusement. Then back to Payphone hit.
  22. Well, the GTA Summer update might be the best piece of hype they’ve done, and they did it by just actually addressing the games flaws. https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/9k74k52737912k/grand-theft-auto-and-red-dead-online-community-update “ As we look at what’s in store for the Rockstar Games community in the weeks and months ahead, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their unmatched enthusiasm and commitment to all our titles. It’s your support that drives us to keep pushing forward with everything we do, and we are excited to share with you the first details around upcoming updates and more. With more players than ever taking to the streets of Los Santos thanks to the recent launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — we’ll be working to improve the overall GTA Online experience with new gameplay updates, adding top community-requested experience improvements and upgrades to make it easier for players to enjoy everything GTA Online has to offer. In just a few short weeks, a new update is coming to GTA Online on all platforms that will expand upon the Criminal Careers of Executive, Biker, Gunrunner, and Nightclub Owner — alongside a set of Contact Missions that presents the opportunity to be sworn in as a special IAA field operative to investigate a budding criminal conspiracy. This update will also feature some changes that have been long-requested by the community — such as reducing the effectiveness of homing missiles and countermeasures on the Oppressor Mk II, offering a more convenient way to access snacks and armor, and the ability to launch Sell Missions in Invite Only sessions. These are just a few of the experience improvements that will be coming this summer, to GTA Online as we continue to incorporate more player feedback and other learnings moving forward. We'll also be increasing some of the GTA$ payouts throughout the game to reward players for their time — regardless of what they choose to play. With such a wide range of things to do in GTA Online we believe that increasing these payouts will allow people greater freedom to do what they like and get what they want faster. Bodyguards, Associates, and MC Members will see payouts increased to encourage and reward cooperative play — along with increased GTA$ payouts across a variety of activities, including greater payouts across Races, Adversary Modes, and select Heist Finales. Plus, our continued commitment to specially curated seasonal events, additional bonuses and gifts, community challenges, and other surprises for players will ensure that Los Santos remains as dynamic and unpredictable as ever.” Tons of great news overall, just to see how it’s implemented.
  23. I’m not arguing there ability to make money. The Disney Live Action Remake genre has been able to print money over and over again even when basically anyone can tell you they aren’t particularly good movies, and none of them have held candles to the originals. Jurassic World Dominion just made 800 million in spite of there not being a good Jurassic Park movie in 30 years. Being a good movie has nothing to do with being able to fill a theatre. My question is “are they now stuck so deep in this formula are they never going to make a Marvel movie that isn’t a generic action/comedy ever again.” Because this as a premise could have been super compelling if they took some risks, but reviews seem to say they really didn’t. It’s making it hard for me personally to get excited for future releases when they just play it safe by relying on nostalgia and making sure there are basically no stakes in these movies over and over.
  24. Gonna be honest, seeing the comic characters that were supposed to be stand ins for civil rights issues be reduced to Marvel “Have to cut a joke into every serious scene to remind you it’s a Marvel Movie” fodder is almost actively painful to me. In Black Panther they had the good sense to have T’Challa have weight, but Marvel was a lot more willing to experiment when that came out. With the state of this stupid country right now, doing an X-Men movie would take absurd amounts of care or feel like a huge slap in the face if it’s just another comedic marvel movie.
  25. I’m honestly starting to wonder if a mix of Marvel fatigue and Marvel just being waaaaaay to stuck in there formula has led to a point of no return. It will be interesting to see how they handle things from here, because it feels like post End Game Marvel has only had one big defining movie (Spider-Man), and even that was mostly huge due to the nostalgia elements. It feels like they need a big shake up to really get momentum back, but I don’t think that happens until they take some falls in the box office.
