  1. Hey if it happened to Ushio to Tora, anythign is possible! The only thing I can see stopping it is how detailed Nangano's illsutrations are and beautiful his character designs. Plus there is so much material for FSS the problem might be where to begin. Then again if they cna animate a TV series for Jojo after all this time then anything is possible (though Jojo isn't nearly as detailed, artwise, as FSS) James
  2. Smith is probably outdone by Baker The Second. Tom Baker wil lalways be my favorite followed by McCoy and Troughton. Trying to figure ou the rest would take more time. Having now watched the Christmas Special , I can say it was fun. I can also say given the nature of end of it I'd be very pleased if we never see River Song again. James
  3. I still love how Nagano took everything from L-Gaim and used re-used it for The Five Star Stories, whi might be better than anything Tomino has ever done James
  4. Hmmmm, for me Tomino's best would be either Z Gundam, Aura Battler Dunbine or Heavy Metal L-Gaim (with a strong leaning to L-Gaim). I think he has a few underrated gems as well like Brain Powerd (it is actually good despite all the hype that sabotaged it) and Overman King Gainer James
  5. I didn't care for Build Fighters. Just not my cup of tea. The Origin has been amazing so far and the first episode of Thunderbolt gets us back to the meat and potatoes of Gundam conflicts Zeon v. Federation Ace Pilots. Sunrise is always going to revisit UC/One Year timeline because it is the franchise that creators like most and generates most interest from the diehard Gundam fans. I mean of the non-UC timelines, not counting IBO I've only liked G Gundam (because, honestly how could I not? Its like Imagawa making a Gundam so he could finance Giant Robo and it paid off) and 00 (well save for the movie, which was... not very good). I think we can all agree G Reconguista was Tomino's worst work right? James
  6. Well Miura isn't gettign any younger and his hiatuses are more frequent so the Berserk manga moves at a snails pace these days Gundam THUNDERBOLT Episode 1 is out and it is gorgeous. If this, The Origin and Iron Blooded Orphans don't turn things around for the franchise Bandai has said we're getting more stuff like Build Fighters. That is the last thing any of us want. If the 2 current projects can reignite the fanbase then there is hope. I've loved IBO and Thunderbolt and The Origin. I just hope enough people watch all of them. James
  7. Sami needs to come to the main roster and get himself built up for a World title . Owens basically has pull a Dick Murdoch on him with Sami in the Dibiase roll, even taking a Pop-Up Powerbomb on the arena floor. Thi sets up Owens getting a PPV World title shot and then just when it looks like Owens has it Sami comes through the crowd and just a crazy brawl goes on for like 10 minutes. Ideally, I'd have Sami get slaid out in late September. Owens gets the SS Main Event title match and then you just have them at war until the Rumble Of course this is practical booking and the WWE doesn't do practical booking anymore James
  8. Weird.. I just always associated it with JWP James
  9. God, remember when the WWE knew how to book undercard feuds? From The Spectrum Maple Leaf Gardens http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4wrzq_ricky-steamboat-vs-don-muraco-lumbe_sport James
  10. I noticed that STARDOM ganked the CLIMAX name for their year end show from JWP this year and JWP ran "Crunchy Hurricane". Was this intentional because JWP had been using the CLIMAX title for their year end show for the longest time James
  11. But wasn't Rocky winning due to a split in the voting between Network and and All The President's Men (or at leastthat is the popular theory)? James
  12. Well Beefer did turn face at Mania 3 and they spent the next year building him up to beat Honky only for the weirdness of the Ron Bass feud to happne James
  13. Hell even Honky as IC Champ wasn't supposed to happen! Imagine how things would have been different if Butch Reed had showed up for his match with Steamboat? I don't think Savage goes face to feud with Reed, maybe Warrior gets pushed up the crd faster for a Reed feud for the IC strap? James
  14. Didn't shamrock work South Atlantic Pro before even going ot apan? I mean he was trained as a US pro-wrestler first James
  15. So at this point I think I got who the mad bomber on Quantico is all figured out as last week's episode kind of spelled it out in big bold letters. James
  16. See I can buy Adonis as a Babyface, but Shultz was just so... detestable? James
  17. Dr. D David Shultz worked Babyface? Against Nick Bockwinkel? IN STAMPEDE?!? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xkrhk5_nick-bockwinkle-vs-david-shultz_sport James
  18. Its weird in this discussion about the Fabs because I remember the Guerreros as heels in Mid South for some reason James
  19. heh yeah, this has been going on since at leastthe late 70s James
  20. No they were yelling "BRUUUUUUUUCE!", a common cheer for Springsteen James
  21. Well he is next to "Mr. Wonderful" If Paul Orndorff had shown up in WWF later, like in 88 the Mr. Wonderful gimmick would be totally different! He'd get video vignettes of him beign a really swell guy taking girls out on mystery dates, wrestling in a pair of chinos and a sweater vest James
  22. I've never seen the heel turn myself. I remember their AWA run and appearance at Wrestlerock that year (by then they were working Florida regularly and did Wrestlerock a a favor for Verne, though they jobbed to Windham and Rotunda). I was unaware of their Mid-South run entirely. James
  23. A quick note on The Fabulous Ones history, for the second half of 1986 The Fabs were mainly competing in Florida feuding with Oliver Humperdink's stable (which included the Sheepherder's for the Fabs to feud with again). They split at the end of the year with Keirn staying in Florida and Lane debuting in Spring 87 with the Midnight Express. James
  24. I remember all the great "Sasuke is nuts stories from around 98-99. Like "The Great Sasuke had opted to have a silver bust made of himself instead of paying his talent". I hope when that documentary finally gets released there is some sort of glimpse of "the bust". Then there was the detailed story posted by Zac Arnold regarding Sheldon Goldberg's dealings with Sasuke and how Sasuke refused to attend a WCW show because he had some sort of beef with Ultimo Dragon. Sasuke stories were the stuff of legelnd. Like he was he perfect delusional misunderstood rock star James
