On the plus side, Rollins is 100x better as a heel. On the down side, Rollins is still employed, and not only is AEW currently doing "whiney top heel with heavies" better than Rollins will ever be able to do, you are doing it in your very own undercard with a dude (AJ) that, again, is doing it at a level far superior than what Rollins is capable of. But hey it's an improvement. Show was pretty good I thought. Charlotte/Asuka was really good and all the US title stuff was great.

If the goal of the weekend was to make Rhea Ripley and Keith Lee, then mission accomplished. I also need Riddle/G and I need it right now. That sequence was amazing.

Also it feels like the NXT women’s direction went from a bit of a stagnant mess a month or so ago to now having very clear direction until WM. Ripley over Shayna, Shayna to main roster (RR winner?), then Ripley on to Io. Meanwhile Kai/Knox, leading to Ripley/Kai. And all these people are super over at the moment. Business is picking up for the ladies.

Ripley has visual charisma / the “cool factor” in spades. She reminds me a lot of Scott Hall in that regard.

Thread title reminded me of “Fight to Survive” in Bloodsport for whatever reason, which would make a way better PPV theme than whatever hot garbage HHH listened to on Octane on the way to the office. Show/company has no soul.
