  1. One small suggestion on the presentation of Allin to get him even closer to that next level, is let the dude’s theme play through until the chorus before Roberts does the intro. Song is singalong as shit with the drumline and simple lyrics, let the crowd get into it. Hard to do with while the intro is going on. Everything about Cassidy’s intro/presentation was great, though.
  2. Speaking of ring posts, OC’s post bump was one of the best I’ve ever seen. I (and JR) thought that dude was dead.
  3. Mox was legit fucked up after the post spot, right? Jericho doing the “go ring the bell” bit is a classic time waster while they checked on him. Seemed Mox came back around about 5 minutes til the finish, but my assumption was that he was all sorts of messed up for most of the match, thus how it went.
  4. Hangman could be their guy. I think they realize what they have and don’t turn him. Let this thing keep building.
  5. Allin/Sammy was good as fuck and my MOTN. Orange Cassidy is the most over dude in wrestling. Storytelling was top notch up and down the entire card. Two big thumbs up from me.
  6. I haven’t been this excited for a show in years. I expect Jericho to retain, and my own kind of sketch for what I expect main event wise over the next little bit is something like War Games next, then Jericho drops it to Mox or Omega, then MJF gets a run, then either Hangman or Allin.
  7. I for one look forward to Bunkhouse Buck’s AEW debut as well as Wardlow Fashion Watch
  8. Montez Ford has stood out the past few weeks. He’s got something.
  9. I guess I’ll dissent and say that regardless of how they get there, Goldberg/Reigns and Fiend/Cena (using the Cena/Umaga LMS format) sounds like a perfectly awesome pair of SD main events for WM and a big step up from Fiend/Reigns, to me. I’d actually find it really refreshing to get two big man sprints as the world title matches after so many NXT forced epics have me burnt out on the whole thing.
  10. OC’s sloth-like energy conservation makes him the odds on favorite whenever they get around to doing their first Rumble as, much like Greg Valentine, it takes him 40 minutes to get warmed up. Agree with Allin and Sammy. They aren’t at this level yet but I can definitely see a “Rock and HHH feuding over the IC title” thing happening with those two. They should go on first next weekend and the crowd singing along to “I Fell” during whatever gimmick entrance Darby has, is gonna be fucking lit.
  11. Of the guys I’ve met in person, Jeff Hardy is the ultimate “dude surprisingly bigger than you think” and Warrior is the opposite. Kofi is also not-a-small dude thread contribution:
  12. How about The Match Beyond at Double or Nothing, Inner Circle vs. Mox/Allin/Dustin and someone Jericho pisses off (Cobb? Pac?). Faces all paint up like Allin. Shit yeah. I have to think guys like Hangman, Allin, Cassidy and Jurassic Express being as over as they are is what the guys are most proud of. Pretty awesome shit.
  13. Revolution is the most well-built PPV storyline-wise, top to bottom, since...?
  14. The speed/impact of Cody's leg on Wardlow's face was crazy
  15. Man they won't do it but I really would consider calling the audible and having Goldberg win. Reigns/Goldberg and then Fiend/Bryan sounds 1000x better than Fiend/Reigns. Reigns/Goldberg would fucking rule and Bryan is the only dude that seems to be able to get a good singles match out of Wyatt. Shit add Lesnar/McEntyre to the Reigns/Goldberg match I'm proposing and I'm ALL IN on those two for WM.
  16. Texas Hangmen were also notable parts of the AWF mentioned earlier in the thread, I believe. Could be confusing it with USWA but I think that’s right.
  17. Four awesome things on this show: - The kid in the crowd being consoled by his mom. - Shayna’s incredible promo. - Buddy Murphy’s stunner sell - Montez Ford But yeah Shayna, damn. The parallels to Samoa Joe as a character and performer are all over the place IMO and unlike what they’ve done with Joe they need to go all the way with her and have her steamroll Becky, who’s lost a lot of steam.
  18. Instead it’s Hunter and Shawn 3 stages of hell while Gargano, Ciampa and Cole scribble notes furiously. In particular if Riddle, Dream or Lee are their next guy they need to do sprints. Who wants a 30 minute Velveteen Dream match? Riddle’s offense is built for the Goldberg formula.
  19. I feel like NXT really needs a Goldberg/Lesnar formula main event to reset expectations. But I wonder how the live crowd would react on WM weekend if, making this up for the sake of argument, Lee/WALTER went 6 minutes balls out?
  20. Yeah Nox/Kai was my match of the night because it definitely wasn't 'same old shit' - I don't think NXT's ever had women do a match like this. That was a breakout performance by both. And Kai deserved to win for following proper protocol and wearing street clothes with her boots.
  21. I loved the ending of Balor/Gargano. In this era of excess, most notably with one of the two dudes in this match, ending is just dropping the guy like a sack of shit and pinning him 1, 2, 3. That was great. More of it, please.
  22. That was a fantastic show. The last 10 minutes of the main event had the usual nonsense, but outside of that everything was great. I thought Kai and Nox knocked it out of the park in the first big chance. DD's head cleared that senton onto Lee by about an inch. Amazing spot; scary as hell on replay.
