  1. Now that the forbidden door of (MLW spoiler) Has been opened, might I suggest AEW sign With the quickness? The feud with a champion Page and now-babyface Dark Order writes itself
  2. Orange’s half assed Dark Order claw was on point, too. I legit LOL’d before crying again.
  3. I would gladly buy multiple copies of this on DVD not only to support Brodie’s family but to support and preserve what we saw. This was an all timer that we’ll be talking about for decades. Not just in purpose but in execution. As a show this was incredible WM17, One Night Stand, Bash at the Beach 1996 tier stuff. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. My heart and thanks goes out to everyone involved.
  4. I hate to take a turn toward fantasy booking and take away from the real life discussion, but I’ve always thought the story was always going to be Hangman unwillingly taking over the group of misfits, turning them into winners over time, finding himself in the process, and using that newfound leadership/confidence to dethrone Omega. Year 2 of AEW ending with a champion Hangman on the shoulders of a babyface Dark Order would be a wonderful capstone to a well told 2 year story. I don’t know if they still tell that story now, but I think that’s where it was all going.
  5. “SUE!!!! THIS motherfucker doesn’t like your food!” The best BTE skit of all time. Today’s video was both hilarious and incredibly sad.
  6. RIP to your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler. So young. Bless his family.
  7. Best wrestling show of the week easily right here. Great shit.
  8. Demoting Keith Lee while allowing someone like Nia Jax to not just stink it up but routinely injure her coworkers for years is so messed up it almost feels like grounds for a lawsuit
  9. I mean I'm down with a disgruntled pissed off Lee/Otis tag team wrecking job on the NXT tag division. Wearing trunks.
  10. It will be really interesting to see the NBA impact. On one hand, preemptions are a struggle, but on the other, they should have great lead-in's some weeks. And I totally expect TNT to do some crossover stuff between Inside the NBA and AEW given that the latter has established itself, I think, as their second biggest property. Imagine the Dark Order on set with Earnie, Kenny and Shaq. Just some buff guys, hangin out, talkin about the playoffs.
  11. The Hangman/Reynolds/Silver bit had some serious dark comedy elements. Like in this goofy skit, there's that 5 seconds where they ask "who else is there?" and Page's sad face. Man, that cut deep.
  12. They are totally running my “Hangman as Coach Jimmy McGinty and the Washington Dark Order Sentinels” angle and I am all in. Silver is a rock solid Clifford Franklin.
  13. Fun show! Omega's presentation is soooooo much better with Callis. Like, it's night and day. I love this act. Absolutely loved them digging in on it, too (MORE sweeping girls!!) Other favorite things on the show were MJF's Orange Punch sell, Hangman and Dark Order, Miro throwing dudes into the abyss. Butcher and The Blade winning streak!!
  14. Based on the Lex tease/mention last night, I presume Omega comes out of a helicopter tonight.
  15. Definitely echo the love for Callis as Omega’s manager. That does wonders for Omega’s presentation for me at least. Also really like “the invisible hand” as a moniker.
  16. Doesn’t help when Wardlow is the best squash guy since Big Daddy V and outclasses Cage in this sort of thing in every way.
  17. Yep. Tony was a fine douchebag in that cute video but Cody could have done it. I’m fine if it ends there. I get that duty calls for The Living Tribunal to show up and overrule Galactus every few years or whatever, but that’s all it should ever be.
  18. I mean, yeah but, the Nats won the whole thing and Eaton was huge in that WS. I highly doubt they regret the move.
  19. I think there’s a good several months at least in the “Hangman slums it with Dark Order but by doing so builds himself back up and his leadership helps Silver and Reynolds win the tag titles” arc, before he takes that newfound confidence on a course for Omega.
  20. Yeah I think this was the first Priest match I’ve ever seen where he really impressed me.
  21. Pat Mcafee is pro wrestling as fuck NXT women’s division is incredible. What they’ve done to rebuild it after the major names all left a few years ago is spectacular.
  22. Like the idea of Angle coming in for a more fitting retirement match. I'd wait a couple months as you don't want to combine that with the Sting reveal, but the idea of something like Angle/Omega as a Dynamite main event / Angle-centric episode would be welcome. Not unlike Lawler/Miz in Memphis that one time, obvious with a more wrestling vs. garbage-centric approach to the actual match. AEW doesn't really have a younger "wrestling machine" gimmicked guy if you wanted to go "pass the torch" and not "dream match" for this, unless I'm just blanking. Makes me think that if Gable or Drew Gulak get let go they'd be good signs.
  23. CD tops the list and is the first up in this thread of guys I'd take off television immediately. The sunglasses and microphone bit are the lamest in the company. He seems good at talent relations, let him do that. Catching up on a few people: Brian Cage - I was also going to suggest putting him under a hood. He's got crazy athleticism for a body guy and some decent snap on his power stuff, but its just his face and the sideburns that just don't work and take me out of the presentation. A full time tag team with Hobbs is another option, as that division could use a power team. Brodie Lee - I was middling on Lee until his character broke out on BTE. Great in-ring guy obviously, with elite feel and timing. Like Archer, he's in his 40's now so I don't think a top level run is in the cards, but man he makes me wish AEW ran house shows because doing a loop with Wardlow or Hobbs could help those guys so much. Lee adds value in many ways and I'm a fan. Brandi - Not much to add that hasn't already been said. Real life stuff is all great, wonderful ambassador, great personality that you want to listen to, love the cooking show. On-show stuff has been the worst in AEW's existence outside of the Cody strap segment. Keep doing what you're doing for the company, but dial back the on screen role. Britt Baker - Is it weird that the Britt/Tony dynamic might be my favorite wrestling relationship of 2020? It's legitimately layered, good and hilarious. Britt reminds me of Alexa Bliss where the character stuff is way ahead of the in-ring. Alexa never got to an elite level in ring (and didn't have to), and I think Britt has more upside there, even she's a bit less of a natural on the mic (but still good).
