  1. Best matches were Texas Death (natch) and the TBS 3-way. Love triple threats that keep everyone in the match, rather than one person lounging on the outside for 5+ minutes. Didn’t bother watching the main.
  2. Cincinnati Jacksonville Green Bay Washington Miami Houston Detroit Pittsburgh Dallas San Francisco Buffalo Seattle Minnesota Kansas City Tiebreaker #1: 101 Tiebreaker #2: 33 Tiebreaker #3: 30
  3. And the Blue Bombers become the first team since 77-82 Edmonton to make 4 Grey Cup Finals in a row. It looked like the Bombers were going to run away with it, especially with Brady Oliveira rushing for 100 yards in the half. But they kept having drives stall out before getting into the end zone, Castillo missed two field goals, and the Ti-Cats hit a deflection Hail Mary at the end of the 2nd to make the game much closer than it should have been. I'm confident that they're gonna win the Cup, but they need to close out drives or Montreal will steal it.
  4. Not just an upset in the East finals, but a stomping. Montreal moves on to the Grey Cup. This was the Argos title to lose and they're not even going to be able to defend it. The Alouettes are on a roll and I don't think will just be a pushover to whoever wins the West.
  5. Chicago Indianapolis Pittsburgh Minnesota Cincinnati Baltimore Tampa Bay San Francisco Detroit Atlanta Seattle Dallas Las Vegas Buffalo Tiebreaker #1: 11 Tiebreaker #2: 276 Tiebreaker #3: 9
  6. For Uncle Buck to work, you definitely need him to be able to believably carry some of the melodrama. I think Candy is someone who absolutely could have had a John Goodman type career if he was a little better at choosing some of his roles.
  7. Nice entrance kid, but Tremont owns that song
  8. Love whenever Dalton Castle shows up, but wish that he had just come out to challenge the Acclaimed to set up a program, rather than just jumping straight to the match. Even with the trios titles, the Acclaimed have been treading water since losing the tag team belts, a month or two long feud with Dalton and the Boys could have been a lot of fun. Dalton is one of those wrestlers that I don't think Tony really sees what he has. He manages to get over every time he comes out and has such a great entrance for TV. That post-match backstage interview with Lexy should have absolutely been on TV.
  9. I thought this was a pretty decent episode. It really did a great job of advancing feuds. Match wise wasn’t their best, outside of the awesome Claudio-OC, but every match felt like it meant something.
  10. Did not like the way Paul's knees were bending when he came out there. Jeff Jarrett group reveal is one of the best things they've ever done.
  11. Steelers Kansas City LA Rams New England Houston Cleveland New Orleans Baltimore Minnesota Indianapolis Las Vegas Philadelphia Cincinnati NY Jets Tiebreaker #1: Allen Tiebreaker #2: 84 Tiebreaker #3: 48
  12. Sounds like its time for a Canadian Heritage Minute. These videos showing up in every commercial break is an essential memory of my childhood.
  13. So the long time rumour about him working for Make a Wish is not true? Did they talk about what he does for a living at all? Crazzy Steve being legally blind and only able to see shapes comes to mind as well
  14. Made it 2 hours into Killers of the Flower Moon before needing to step out to pee. I am now intermission-pilled. Some spoilers the rest of the way if you want to skip past the rest of my post I loved it, it personally lands in the top third of Scorsese’s work. Loved the weirdly meta ending with the radio play (did not recognize Jack White at all). My main complaint is that I felt the Osage were sidelined in the 2nd half of the movie. A lot of that was consequence of the story, as Mollie was our perspective but she spent the last bit of the movie bedridden. Would be interesting to see a movie told from a purely Osage perspective, but as others have said elsewhere, that’s not really Scorsese’s story to tell. Soroya Roberts has a really good story on Defector about the moral purpose of art as it relates to Killers. I’m curious as to what Scorsese’s original intention to do a complete police procedural with the story would have looked like. I don’t think it would have been as good. Was it ever said what Mollie was being poisoned with? Until she went to the hospital I had assumed they were just giving her laudanum or something to keep her doped up. I was also suspicious that she was getting any insulin at all. Since she wasn’t improving, I assumed that they had just been putting saline or something in the vials.
  15. I went to the live Suspiria scoring a few years ago and it was awesome. That’s a fun movie to watch in a drunk crowd
  16. Enjoying the Toni Storm vignettes, but one pet peeve I have about them is that silent films did not have inter-title cards after every bit of dialogue. 90% of dialogue would be conveyed through acting and context clues. Most would attempt to have as few cards as possible, as they break up the flow of the movie. There were no character one mouths some words > card > character two mouths some words > card.
  17. Going to Killers of the Flower Moon Saturday night, so I don't have much longer to avoid spoilers. Will be a decent day, it's also the Winnipeg Comic Con this weekend. Maybe I'm too used to going to indie wrestling shows where $20 gets you an autographed 8x10 and a selfie and a hug from Zicky Dice or whoever. I am not paying $100 for an autograph from Giancarlo Esposito, no matter how cool he is.
  18. Rereading your post, Invaders from Mars definitely sounds right. It has been a few years since I've watched it, maybe 7 or 8 years ago, but I really enjoyed it on rewatch. I think it works as a horror movie for kids and its an interesting tangent in Tobe Hooper's career. I saw it the first time when I was like 6 and it scared the shit out of me. I really dig the design of the main alien, kind of a Krang crossed with a turtle thing.
  19. Buffalo NY Jets Pittsburgh Houston Miami Atlanta Minnesota Dallas Philadelphia Indianapolis Seattle Kansas City San Francisco Baltimore LA Chargers Detroit Tiebreaker #1: 287 Tiebreaker #2: 45 Tiebreaker #3: 148
  20. Watching The Conjuring for the first time and this movie is a piece of shit. Catholic Poltergeist ass movie. Ron Livingston's wig is killing me, I can't take that dude seriously at the best of times and now he's got the Beatles hair.
  21. The Hard Hittin Mark Whiten Wing
