Surprised Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso only went 11 minutes.

much too long, that was one of the worst matches ever put on a big show. so much fake drama that no one was buying and the weakest super kicks you've ever seen

positives: liked the mysterio match, truth got a great moment, jade looked awesome, sami/gunther was as good as expected

  2. I haven't watched The Silent Partner in years, but remember really liking it. It is also a bit of a curiosity, being an early Canadian attempt at a straight genre film. 1970s Elliott Gould is always worth a watch.

I agree with much of this. I did guess part of the ending wrong. Still think Godzilla was best movie last year.

I did like that they didn't choose the obvious route. Ending spoilers ahoy:

    Spoiler

I don't think that Bella would want Godwin's brain anywhere near the body of her ex-husband. I think she would feel that would be tainting him. While she wants to take after him, I think she's learned the value in a dignified death surrounded by your loved one.

  4. Watched Poor Things tonight, it was super horny and weird. More movies should be like that. Out of the Best Picture nominees I've seen (Killers, Maestro, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Holdovers, half of Anatomy) it's been my favourite.

I finally caught Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning. Is it still considered part one, or are they pulling a Star Wars/A New Hope deal and retroactively changing the title?  I can appreciate some of the risks they took, like killing off a well known character (at least until the upcoming sequel) and almost doing a rehash of the first movie as far as the train and not knowing if the IMF ally can be trusted. But, the whole AI plot came off to me like they wanted to do something topical, and the "entity' gives off vibes like a less cool version of Skynet.

they changed it, but the oscars ignored that shit tonight and called it part one

I hate the former winners intros, instead of clips gimmick. . .

i generally agree, but that best male actor lineup was awesome. i want those dudes to be my crew

  7. The rouge is getting a single point awarded if a punt or missed field goal gets kicked through the end zone, or downed in the end zone by the returning team. The team that conceded the point then gets the ball at the 40 yard line. There's no rule about kickoffs going through the uprights as far as I know.

  8. I am also a low voter on X, Pearl, and Mia Goth. X I found boring and derivative. Pearl was better but I mostly like the faux technicolor look that it has. I can't imagine I'm ever going to feel the need to watch it again. I'll watch Maxxine for completest sake. I find Mia Goth can be grating, at least Infinity Pool understood that and used it to its advantage. I liked her in Suspiria.
