  1. Paul Heyman is going to slip Bronson Reed a 5G enabled phone while the ref is turned, so he can use it on an Uso. They fight over it, Bron Breaker will go for a spear and run into the phone and get knocked out by the power of 5G.

  2. At this rate, it would need to be absolutely PPV quality. People have rose colored glasses regarding Clashes. The reason Clash of the Champions and SNME worked is because TV back then was 90% (or more) squashes. Getting non-jobber matches on free TV was mindblowing back then. Today, Dynamite frequently features a more stacked card than any Clash outside of Clash 1.

  4. If they're countering SaudiMania, AEW should be really petty and revive the KURT RUSSELLMANIA name that WWE threatened to sue PWG over.

  5. It's still almost two years away, but I do think AEW countering WM 43 with their own big show in the U.S. is a fantastic idea. And it's weird because Bully Ray actually voiced it well, and usually, he has the worst brain-rotted takes on Busted Open. They should put a Clash-style show for free on HBO Max or cable. But it needs to be a huge show and not like what they did with Battle of the Belts, which were always underwhelming and throwaway events.

  8. Yep, that's Raven. For those who don't remember/never read the reviews (which you still can, you lazies) he would make long (longer than the endtime Dean stuff) reviews of shows he went to and videos he watched while rambling about his life and low-income culture and attitudes and reality in America. Plus, a total alkie, so I loved him. Think a white dude with dreads and glasses chugging off a bottle of Old Crow in between whatever slag beer was at the gas station, talking about his job as a painter -- an actual house painter, not an artistic one. I say all this with total love because he rules and I'm very happy to see his state today, especially his sobriety. EDIT: Oh, and it seems like I cannot stop doing with wrestling shows, I forgot about DEAN~!3 until the last two matches. Goddammit, I need to start setting alarms. Anyway, the maestros match was ethereal and epic and unexplainable if you didn't see it. It smoked the other ones from the other shows and was a true piece of wrestling glory. Then Mad Dog and DEMUS DEMUS DEMUS (you have to love a heel who comes out chanting for himself) came out and had... a very short match with a disappointing ending and no blood. Well, they can't all be winners. Personally, I really want to see the clusterfuck cuz the rest sounds just kinda just there since I already watched the Collision stuff.

  10. Just to explain the FTC a little better for Natural: It was invented to keep corporate monopolies from forming inside the United States. We had a long history of robber barons who oppressed employees and strangled marketplaces. Thankfully we had changes from Roosevelt's New Deal and the formation of unions, who are responsible for the eight hour workday and work breaks and kids not working in fucking mines, etc. The FTC was a part of that until the 1980s when Reagan's pro-business corporate deregulation efforts slowly eroded all protections for just about every citizen right we had won through our literal blood being spilt by union conflicts. Things like the Citizens United law that actually calls corporations individual persons picked up the erosion big-time. And now you have the ultimate result of that: A country completely controlled by grift from individuals and corporations with all laws impeding them destroyed, and ruled by a foulest of dictators. End rant.

  12. I was hoping to get "Roar of the Crowd" but was happy to get "Welcome Home" for the promo video *and* then still got "Roar of the Crowd" with an homage to the old NXT intro. We started out good for me. Would have been happy if we just had a full show of people coming out and interrupting each other to cut promos. Great bit with Regal getting upset at someone screaming "WAR GAMES" before he could. The actual women's tag title match was alright. The four of them never seemed to completely click but I imagine Izzi and Tatum probably don't have to wrestle people that they're not able to work things out well in advance with. I did not have my money on Shayna as a couple counselor. Trick Melo Gang vs. DIY was fun and really shows the growth in Trick that he was able to really keep up with them. No matter the final results, Black and Gold were going win the nights just based off of their NXT-era theme songs. Liked them keeping a potential revisiting of Trick and Melo facing off again alive while also facilitating Miz and Melo's SD storyline. Breeze and Page worked well together, it didn't steal the show but almost seemed fitting with what Breeze's role generally was. Did like Breeze doing a brief tour of signature Canadian wrestler moves. Oba and Ricky just don't have a whole lot of chemistry and there's not much storyline going on here. I think it's safe to say that we're getting a TNA invasion next week, maybe they'll go full Nexus and destroy the ring. Loved the Dempsey/Wren/Roode/Hendry segment. Can't wait to see what crazy antics Wren gets up to for the next month. Lexis coming out as just as mostly an excuse for Finn to get his old entrance was great. Lexis and Myles seem to have great chemistry, so I'm all for the Lights Out match. The main event was fun. Fatal Influence have been the women's division, and possibly the whole show, MVPs since the last round of call ups. Jazmyn has improved by leaps and bounds and her and Fallon have some fun tag team chemistry. Shocked that Book's heart was able to handle Stephanie and Rhea doing the Devil's Kiss at the same time. NXT remains the two most packed hours of television every week. It did seem that they struggled a bit with the camera angles early on but by the end of the show things were running smoothly. Overall, the show felt like a much better done version of the ECW Arena show. Next week looks strong and No Mercy is slowly but surely having it's foundations set.

  21. There’s a billboard for an Air Supply show (I think at a casino in Atlantic City) when you’re crossing the Walt Whitman Bridge from Jersey into South Philly, just to tie this in to the recent residency . Very talented vocalists, but pure, almost unlistenable schmaltz. Like so bad that almost none of the office mix or nostalgia radio stations play them.

  22. Yeah I agree that it seems like a great plan even if you lose a little money. I’ve seen some people say not to do anything so all online attention is about “WWE BloodMoneyMania” but that’s like not how the internet or Saudi greenwashing work. I don’t know if New Orleans would work for all of the indie events that usually go around WM weekend, but if so then why not do it there since they got left in the cold? Don’t try to sell out a stadium, just the basketball arena, do at minimum a ROH PPV Friday, a 3-hour Collision on Saturday, and maybe something like the DEAN~! outdoor event on Sunday as a free fan event.

  23. If TK was still unhinged he’d tweet that Shawn and Hunter are still bald assholes and AEW and ROH are gonna run Supercard of Honor and Revolution from the United Center and (insert appropriate ROH sized venue in Chicago here) the same day as SaudiMania. But nooooo, he needs to be “professional” or something. Never forget what they took from us, boys.

  24. I have so many questions about there being an actual packed theater for Happiness or watching it with someone you would wind up marrying or someone taking a date to see it let alone being a third wheel in that situation. I mean, it's Happiness. I don't know why, but the one thing that comes to mind, well two things, would be a theater being packed or taking a date to see Kids or Pink Flamingos. EDIT: Although to be fair, this girl I was best friends with in high school, maybe as much as my closest friends I still have today, and I was in major love with this girl, she asked me out first, I turned her down because I liked someone else, but then I regretted that decision into my early 30s, but anyway, we went to go see American History X together. In the theater. She's a pretty opened minded girl though and I did go see two Drew Barrymore movies with her because even though she was a punky girl, she really loved Drew Barrymore. Those were the days. Fucking around on Fridays and Saturdays, hanging out with your best friend (and now I'm thinking of the lyrics to blink-182's The Rock Show) that you could have gone out with, going over to her house with her parents out of town and because you were a fucking dumbass and couldn't read signals you just played F-Zero X and Goldeneye with her for 2 or 3 hours in her room, taking her to see American History X and awkwardly watching Chasing Amy with her. Me, not a ladies man.

  26. I skipped around; doesn't look like it but there's a Smoky Mountain one at the end, and the footage is pristine. Wooooow. You know, the only thing that's kept me away from SMW for all these years is that their hard cam is shot from the length of like, another building next door, and they use it constantly. Well, there's always the Nuge cut they made for ESPN. I really wish we had this now. Adrian (if that's him doing the piledriver on the floor) is ENORMOUS, holy shit. Blood was probably why they cut it up -- I mean Tommy Rich was in it, and young Michaels.

  28. What the absolute fuck, the Bron-Bron vs Usos match will be sponsored by a company that makes fake technology to protect you from 5G with their "blockers" on the posts. I was thinking about setting up a VPN to see SKY/Vaquer but now I'm thinking that if I want more wrestling after All Out I'll find something on IWTV instead.

  34. Charlotte/Alexa vs. Izzi/Tatum was pretty decent. The teams don't fit each other the best, but I can see something better happening if they ever run it back. Still as nice as Tizzi are I don't think they were the best choice of the teams who fought for the spot last week match wise. ZaRuca having their first fight was expected. Shayna being the one to broker peace, not so much and kind of an odd fit. TrickMelo vs. DIY was pretty good all around. The right team won given what is coming up for both Trick and Hayes, but it will never not feel weird for a team as strong as DIY to lose to an arguably lesser tag team. Page/Tyler built into something pretty solid though I feel like Breeze could have used a pinch more time on offense. Skipped the Waller Effect though I saw Trick/Oba title vs. title is finally happening. Feels strange ot do it now though I assume TNA wrestlers invade during said match next week. Fatal Influence vs. Rhea/Stephanie/Lyra was good. Its been good seeing Fatal Influence get so much spotlight and time to shine in tag matches. Tehy are one of the better women's teams WWE has put together over the years. Not a bad show all around, but nothing amazing despite being the Full Sail Homecoming. I will say it wa snice to se NXT in Full Sail again. The arena feels a lot more freeing with room to actual breathe compared to the CWC. Match wise TrickMelo vs. DIY and the main event are well worth catching even if neither hit great.

  36. I still think that'll end up happening, but we need the Be-Bloodening of our Quebecois friend for sure. He was the one of the two that did the cage-hang that looked like a Predator victim that one time, right? Yeah, do it.

  37. I played the crap out of this and thought Cena did a pretty damn good job for being a wrestler/rapper. I don't know how he'd have fared if he was a rapper full-time instead of a wrestler but really wanted at least an EP down the line to see how he progressed. Hits aside I liked "Just another day" the most as it was neat that this type of song would be on an album like this.

  41. I would soooo be there for a huge United Center show. The Bulls' season ends April 12 unless they make the playoffs (LOOOOOOOOOOOL yeah right) and the Blackhawks' season ends April 15 unless they make the playoffs (more LOOOOOOOOOOOL yeah right than the Bulls). Doing something on the 18th or 19th would work. The only wild card is UFC if they try to run the United Center that night as a combined TKO front against AEW. I wouldn't put it past them to do that. The thing is, like Bryan and Dave mentioned, WM will be on in the early afternoon here. It won't be directly head to head, but what it will do is probably a guaranteed sellout because EVERYONE here in the states or in the UK is going to miss out on a WM over here. You'll get all of the indie scene traffic even though the indie scene is sorta depleted, but I think the important part is filling a gap left by WM not being here. Maybe push Revolution by a couple months from February to April. I think the plan is sound. It's going to do the usual 110k+ buys, but the gate would be maybe the second or third biggest in AEW history. I say do it. It's not exactly competing head to head, but what it is doing is showing that AEW cares more about wrestling fans here and abroad than WWE does and ticket prices will be easier to digest than WWE prices.

  46. All this talk of people not wanting to do jobs reminds me how much I appreciate Swerve and how he's smart enough to know losing doesn't hurt his character That said, if he never gets his win back against Lashley I will RIOT! Listening to the latest Meltzer/Alvarez and they're debating about if AEW should counter-program SaudiMania with a big show. I was already ahead of them on thinking that, seems like a slam dunk. WWE will be completely forfeiting the Indy weekend that surrounds Mania, Tony has good relations with a bunch of promotions......they've handed him this on a silver platter. Plus with the time difference? Shiiiiiiit.....WWE is completely shooting themselves in the foot on this
