This is the best running bit in WWE. Fun part is, Kairi can truly go either way here.6 points

Comin' down the mountain... One of many children... Everybody held their own opinion.... Last week... eh, who cares about regular WWE TV, we got a new MEGACAMPEON~! (Rey is *barely* holding on to that scowl. You can see the pride in his eyes though.) Everybody held their own opinion, holding it back, it hurts so bad... Jumping out of my flesh and I said, Cash in! And of course, as has been true since the dawn of time... Cash in now, honey, cash in now... Cash in now, baby. Cash in now, honey. Cash in, miss Smith... Cash in now, baby... Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh This week... it's WRESTLEPALOOZA~ but Danny Doring and Roadkill won't be there (probably!) But first... Raw, NXT, and Smackdown! (You know, if this all ends with AJ Lee being the new World Champion, it will all have been worth it.) (It always takes me a second to remember this is called Mountain Song, because Perry is a silly goose.) Hope nothing's shocking this week for you! NOTE -- We are a Dom Stan board now. I do not apologize for the inconvenience.5 points

I don't know if there is a bigger gap in how attractive I find a woman than Charlotte Flair on TV and Charlotte Flair not on TV.3 points

Amazing the progression of Dominik Mysterio. Bland babyface teaming with his dead beat Dad, Rey Mysterio winning the WWE Tag Team Championship to turning on him/Edge in joining the Judgement Day, his Mami Rhea Ripley, and getting booed out of the building. Con Dom doing hard time in prison, to Daddy Dom with Liv Morgan and now getting cheers as WWE Intercontinental Champion and AAA Mega Champion. One of the most improved wrestlers ever in such a short space of time.3 points

This is my opinion as well; AEW doesn't need him. Let him work his shit out on someone else's dime first. I think he still works indies on occasion, but it has been awhile since I saw his name on a lineup anywhere significant... EDIT: The original (now working as "Groon XXX") has had about a dozen matches in 2025. Doesn't look like Gronda II (the most recent version in AAA) has worked since 2023, and only a few matches at all since 2019.2 points

Oh, man. It just hit me, that had timing been better and Dustin not out with his injury, we could've had him on Dean 3. That would be the most perfect DVDVR thing.2 points

An important development from Canelo-Alvarez: And I'm guessing that was at ~20%2 points

I do wish Dominik Mysterio won the AAA Mega Championship at TriplemanÃa XXXIII when it was El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee vs. El Grande Americano for an even bigger crowd reaction in Mexico than Worlds Collide: Las Vegas.2 points

I thought the same thing. It strikes me as one of those things that they'll claim to pop someone for when they want to get rid of them and need a legitimate-sounding excuse.2 points

While wrestling Okada, no less. Oh, the (painful) irony. The second back flip neck bump in the late stages of the match was perhaps far far worse than the insane-looking top rope/corner turnbuckle to the barrier spot, as I imagine the first backwards plunge was something he knew he could pull off in advance and get him noticed like Cactus Jack's Nestea plunge. It worked.2 points

Every time I've gotten my makeup professionally done, I looked like a completely different person. It's even worse when I have an on-camera gig. I have naturally long eyelashes and don't wear mascara most days, and even on camera I still need to wear fake eyelashes because they just don't come through.1 point

The Priest/ Billington team, considering they've only had two tag team matches ever (and both were vs FTR on AEW TV), they look like a team. But then, it's a guy paying tribute to Dynamite Kid, teaming with a guy paying tribute to a guy paying tribute to Dynamite Kid. They should gel well. I do wonder where this leaves Mark Billington though. Tommy's older brother, his actual regular tag team partner.1 point

To me, almost every single one of them looks better either without makeup or in normal every day makeup. The TV presentation is like a 6-year-old girl scribbled all over their faces.1 point

Honestly she should just keep doing the hip attack. She was using it before Jaida as a non-finisher. Its gets a good reaction. And it looks both good and different from Jaida's.1 point

December Criterion Collection titles announced. Nothing major except: Pee Wee's BIG F*****ING ADVENTURE (IN 4K!!!!) Salaam Bombay, I Know Where I'm Going (in 4K), His Girl Friday (in 4K), Return to Reason: Four Films by Man Ray, and David Byrne's American Utopia are the other notable ones.1 point

For what it's worth, that was a terrible call. He got his head around late and got his hand on a ball on a play that is exactly how you're supposed to play pass defense. Honestly, if he's going to play pass defense like that, they should probably stop throwing him bubble screens and let him just play defense. Daniel Jones has played really well. Not well enough that I can not point out that multiple around these parts said they'd rather have him over Lamar Jackson, but pretty good. Joe Burrow's toe is going to tank their season. I doubt he plays another game this season. There is no reason whatsoever to bring him back if there is any risk of him reaggravating the injury. Toe injuries linger if they don't heal completely. The Steelers defense looks horrendous, but nothing was worse than the dude who let the kickoff lay in the endzone until someone ran past him to score an easy touchdown. There is no point in the history of football where a kickoff that you touched isn't a live ball that can be picked up for a touchdown. He just stood there and let everyone else run past him. The Cowboys defense seems to be lacking something. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm sure Jadeveon Clowney will be able to fix it despite the fact that he has never really been a pass rusher and he wasn't even in the league any more. Is J.J. Watt available? How about Jared Allen? Any other old ass pass rusher to replace the young generational pass rusher just entering his prime? That Packers defense was pretty good last year, they have a really good secondary who can play all types of different coverages, their biggest weakness last season was their inability to get consistent pressure on the quarterback. Good thing Jerry Jones is a moron. The Browns are predictably awful, but I have to say, if they had a quarterback on the roster who wasn't an octogenarian or a project prospect who may never be good, the offense wouldn't be completely hopeless. They averaged 5.2 yards per carry. The receivers and tight ends might actually be decent if they weren't just running wind sprints. Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are really hard to deal with, they both have this weird habit of scoring a whole bunch of touchdowns and never throw any interceptions. Honestly, what would someone have to do to justify giving someone other than Jackson or Allen the MVP. I can see a world where there is a team with a better record than the Bills or the Ravens, but I don't see any real way that another player is going to be more important or have a better statistical season than whatever those two will do. So, the Chiefs, who have been Patrick Mahomes and the Pips on offense for the last couple years have now made Mahomes their fullback. I'm sure that will lead to success for the man who may be the best passer we've ever seen to be on a 1,000 yard rushing pace. Isaiah Pacheco might need to update his Linked In page. This offense is incredibly hard to watch. Speaking of hard to watch, the Eagles have somehow took the NFL's choice to not ban the Tush Push as a green light to move early and false start every time they run it. They're going to fuck around and get their most potent weapon banned by being stupid. Imagine having Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DaVonta Smith, and Jalen Hurts and having an offense that doesn't even try to be explosive. Why do some teams decide that they're going to do a running back by committee when one guys is clearly better than the other? Kenneth Walker is better than Zach Charbonnet and has always been better than Kennety Walker, but Charbonet gets more carries. I get it, Walker has an injury history, but we should never have a game where the guy who got 10 yards on 15 carries should get the ball more than the guy who got 105 yards on 13 carries.1 point

This FTR-Priest trilogy has been just wonderful. Cash/Dax made those two look as great as they are. WOW, that ddt! Also, loved the double headbutt spot and the falsey. Glad Cash didn’t break his wrist. There’s so many matches for this Billington/Priest team. I like the suggestion of v the Swirl. Also, v Roddy/Kyle, who were again spectacular v Mox/Garci. O Reilly’s been looking so good lately. Digging this quirky personality hes been trying out. It’s made for some fun promos. Loved the Daddy Magic closing angle.1 point

No, it just got conflated by the way I wrote it. It is funny that screamin' badass MJF is three inches smaller than the announcer, though. The fault for that lies with whoever produced the segment, though. Ricccaboni wasn't needed for it and shouldn't have been there. Or someone should have given the MJF the iggy to wear his lifts. He sucks because: He's lazy. Every really good promo, like some of the ones he cut during the Punk program, is GREATLY outnumbered by promos featuring cringeworthy, incel, edgelord bullshit. Oh the fans are poor and fat and their local sports team sucks? Good to know. Nobody thought Bubba Ray Dudley was a great heel in ECW. Note: cutting a promo calling a woman a "dumb bitch" is revolting. It's not good heat. He doesn't understand how to actually be a heel. Look at guys like Don Callis or Christian, then look at MJF. MJF is just a guy whose gimmick is "pro wrestling heel." He's like a wrestler on a sitcom. He's deathly afraid to not get heat. He constantly stops longer promos dead in their tracks to pander for boos. If I had a dollar for every time he yelled "SHUT UP!" at a quiet crowd in order to rile them up, I could buy my own Burberry scarf. I applaud the guy for building a career on next to nothing. While other indy guys were working on becoming spectacular in the ring, MJF cultivated and perpetuated a "great heel" persona based entirely on cheap heat. He's not really a great heel, but he worked really hard to make all the right people believe he is.1 point

Don't worry, I'm sure his fans and supporters would pick up the goalposts and move them for him to pretend his kicks were good.1 point

Unheralded moment that decided the Pats-Fins game. Vrabel had every reason to be worried about a 53 yard FG knowing that if it was missed, the Dolphins would only need one first down to be in FG range to tie or even a game winning TD, ESPECIALLY since the kicker had doinked two XP.. but he trusted his player and the kicker made it. Miami was in FG range near the end, so it was a deciding point in the game1 point

The segments between Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone' are among the highest rated segments AEW has had over the last three years. They had multiple videos go viral on Twitter and Instagram. The women's division as a whole is infinitely better now in terms of quality than it was a year or two ago. You can attempt to give Toni Storm all of the credit (and Toni Storm does deserve a lot of credit) but most of her feuds aside from Mariah haven't reached those heights. Mercedes with others has also resulted in higher-than-average demo spikes if you really want to get into the numbers but most people here would rather not discuss those metrics because it isn't fun at all. You were wrong then and you are still wrong and I quoted you to tell you that you're wrong.1 point

Minus the Seth Rollins-esce yell at the beginning, Kyle Fletcher's theme song has been growing on me lately. They've been on a bit of a roll when it comes to entrance themes; what are ones that you have on your playlist? Mine are (in aplhabetical order): 2point0, Angelico, Daddy Magic & Cool Hand Ange, Dalton Castle, Julia Hart (HOB version), Konosuke Takeshita, Orange Cassidy (Jane), Powerhouse Hobbs (v1), Spanish Announce Project, TH2, The Outrunners (all three versions), The Wingmen, and Wheeler Yuta1 point

I'm playing some matches with this guy I've played with a billion times, except this time I'm in a party chat with him and his "girlfriend," who sounds about 60 and gave her throat to the Marlboro Man years ago. It's easily one of my most surreal gaming experiences ever. I am both dying to know what this chick looks like and absolutely petrified she would turn me to stone if I ever found out. And oh yeah, there's a German dude. Later on we were joined by Freight Train of $5 Wrestling fame. We failed the last game I played with them because the cloaker (dude with the girlfriend) forgot he had to do something besides shoot and he completely whiffed a devices wave. In his defense, he was stoned.1 point
