  1. Sounds like the news of Ceman's release was.... premature.

  2. Speaking to Kenny specifically, he has a torn shoulder labrum. It makes it really painful to do upper body work. His chest still looks good but his shoulders have lost some mass and his right arm is down right tiny (the arm that has the labrum tear). A labrum tear doesn't heal it's self if it's completely off the bone. You need surgery to reattach it and he's been putting it off. You can work through it without adding too much extra damage. But your workouts / aesthetic will suffer. Speaking as someone who currently has worked through a torn shoulder labrum myself for 3 years now. America's health care system is dog shit but I digress lol.

  3. I feel that Arn at least should be an honorable mention. When you're with Flair it's easy to seem a bit overshadowed in that department but Arn was/is so damn good at it.

  4. Fuck, the bad news just continues for Sasha.

  5. Another cool part of the whole exchange: Page lost his grip and fell because both were slippery with sweat. So when he fell, Hobbs ad-libbed smiling at the camera and wiping sweat form himself to acknowledge the fact that his perspiration saved him. Amazing.

  6. I loved the show a lot but am just glad to see an 8-page thread again. And man catching up on this I'm highly amused at all the weird directions this went.

  10. Couldn't take him to a PG-13 movie, though. They'd turn him away at the door.

  11. I think Arn and Eddie Kingston are the best at making me believe that they believe what they're saying. Most of the others we've mentioned are more "showy". They're awesome, but they're almost acting. They're turning it way up. Arn and Eddie are more low-key with their delivery. They can get intense, but it's not yelling and screaming and catchphrases. I can't, at the moment, think of any other great promos like that.

  12. Sometimes, a champion ducks challengers, and is criticized for "hiding behind the belt." This is one belt where you could say that literally.

  13. Christian looks uncomfortable because he knows Eddie is firing off a small-dick-energy promo.

  14. If those two aren't RAW/SD ready, then no one in NXT is. Shotzi has a distinct look, devil may care persona, and built-in merchandise opportunities with her tank/helmet. She's Jeff Hardy with XX chromosomes. I think WWE's general fanbase will like her. Bronson has a Godzilla motif going and while he overlaps Otis in terms of size/body type, Bronson feels more polished. At worst, someone mentions his Samoan background to Vince and they put him with Roman/The Bloodline as a hanger-on. As far as who would do well with a callup: Toni Storm: She's doing nothing in NXT. She's coming along decently with her promos and she has an overall look VInce should like. See what she can do on SD. Kyle O'Reilly: I agree with @caley, KOR is showing more personality. His quirkiness will endear him to a lot of fans. The actual wrestling obviously isn't a problem. I think he stays in NXT for a while yet, but it feels like he'd at least slot into a Zayn/KO upper-midcard spot if called. LA Knight: Decent size, can talk, and likely can pull off whatever comedy stuff they give him. Would give them another midcard heel to work with. Grizzled Young Veterans: A wildcard, but I think they could it. Gibson is a good promo and can get heat to where fans will want to see them get beat. With Grimes, it comes down to how far they lean into the hillbilly thing. NXT has found the sweet spot for him. But who knows how far Vince would want to take it. As for Kross? I find myself wavering between 'maybe he'll do OK' and him crashing/burning in a year. I thought Balor went above and beyond making him look good in their matches. He needs to better define his character. He wears gladiator trunks and street clothes resembling a blackjack dealer, but Scarlett still feels like a possessed siren. I get mixed signals from them. A lot hinges on getting his presentation just right. His match on Main Event didn't give me much hope. I can see Vince and Prichard falling for Scarlett and separating the two, not even in some weird attempt to break them up personally, but that she might simply do better managing another wrestler. They have to let her start talking, though. There will be no in between for Kross. Either he's a complete hit or a big miss.

  15. They wear suits and they’re like, ‘We’re cool’.” ? What more do the writers need to know?

  19. Well, Vince has finally gotten to the Adam Sandler phase of comedy movies. Can't wait for him to get to Don't Mess With The Zayn-han.

  20. Heard about Cara Delevingne's vagina tunnel a bit ago and I am dying. (Ok, get your minds out of the gutter. Not that vagina tunnel. I'm talking about the one in her home.) Apparently Delevingne gave Architectural Digest a tour of her home recently and showed them her... vaginal tunnel. Basically it's a secret room in her house that you access by opening a door that reveals a slit in the wall painted to resemble a vagina. You climb through the slit and go down a short tunnel to a room that Delevingne uses to read, think, meditate, etc. It gets weirder. There's a back entrance that lets you in/out through what looks like a front-loading washing machine. Here's a video. The tunnel bit is about 3 min in. Apparently, her home has several odd theme rooms. Still, I'm trying to decide how weird my life experience would have to be or how many drugs I'd have to do to think a vag room was a good idea.

  21. If anyone wants to keep count of the Hobbs is a Genius thing, I wanted to mention how he got around a botch against Hangman while they were working around the post on the outside. Page was supposed to pull Hobbs into the post, but their grips slipped and Hobbs ended up not doing the spot. So rather than go back to it or pretend it actually happened, they seemed to adlib Hobbs acknowledging the botch and then putting Page on his shoulders to get to the same place where he ended up bumping to the post. I've found Hobbs to be a really effective squash match worker in terms of getting himself over. This would be a different challenge where he likely will have to give Stunt something based on Marko's role in the company but selling a lot for Stunt would be terrible for Will's prospects.

  23. Sticking this here. We use the Prime day deals to get Paramount+ for 1 dollar a month for 2 months, and past showing the kids old episodes of Heathcliff or something, the main purpose of that was to watch Discovery S3. I'm not a massive Trek fan or anything. More of a Babylon 5 and Star Wars guy, but I did see most of TNG when I was a teenager twenty years ago, and TOS in syndication, and Voyager was the main show that was on when I was most into it at around 15 or 16. We're 3-4 episodes in to S3 and it feels like a far better show than S1 and S2. I was a little worried it'd feel like a rehashed Voyager but because they're not trying to get home, but instead trying to make the world they've landed in into the best world possible and find remnants of what they remember in it, the show just carries with it (alongside legitimate emotional struggle) this crazy optimism and idealism which feels like an absolute love letter to what Star Trek should be about and is basically everything we could possibly need out of this show in 2021. It's absolutely fearless about it too. It's so much harder to present bold and unabashed idealism than something jaded and deconstructed and sardonic in this day and age.

  24. This is just me, but I've enjoyed Kross' run on NXT as of late. I thought his match against Balor at Takeover made him look like a legit tough guy/badass. Almost like a more athletic, more technically sound Goldberg. Sorry if that sounds stupid. I hope he does OK in the main roster, but I no longer have faith as such.

  30. If Mox can wrestle on Dark, MJF can. Alot of these young guys need ring time...so I wouldn't use the "Austin and Rock didn't wrestle on Jakked or Metal argument" when it comes to the young upper card guys in AEW.

  37. Good seeing Holidead getting a match on Dark tonight. She has been around for a long time and hasn't gotten much of a chance except for Ring of Honor. Unfortunately it is against Nyla Rose. Shit apparently there is Powerhouse Hobbs vs Marko Stunt as well. Well someone is taking a major beating tonight

  39. Christian seems a lot more active than other veteran hires and is a really good in ring talent who gets around his lack of physical superlatives well. He works as a veteran who can still go and if they manage his losses well, he can get over younger talents while also providing in ring mentorship. His being Jungle Boy's "Sting" is a great use of him.
