  1. Today
  2. And it doesn't seem like anybody wants an NFL game that day except the NFL.
  3. Gonna get a head start on the petition to get Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau played before each Cheifs game next to the Star Spangled Banner.
  4. Yes. While all the X-Men didn't meet him in "Cold Comfort," Forge was there standing with them when he helped free them from the Phalanx in Season 5. Storm was in that episode and standing right next to Forge. I mean the important thing here is that Beast knows who he is. Beast was one of the people who sought Forge for assistance during the Phalanx incursion. OK re-watching the episode, you are correct, Beast does call it a variant, so I guess that's why. I assume Sinister got the same virus from Apocalypse and experimented with it. Though it still seems rather convenient they got these highly advanced healing antibodies from Wolverine to cure the techno plague in Season 2 and now it's fairly useless. Wolverine's blood also cured Leech when he was sick. But all seems rather convenient that Bishop doesn't mention Forge by name. And Cyclops and Beast are like, "You know Forge? The leader of X-Factor?" EDIT: So in the epilogue Storm doesn't seem to recognize Forge at all, even though he saved all their lives during Phalanx incident. Minor oversight. Storm and Forge were there but they never interacted. Still, she should've had some recollection of him. The continuity of this show has never been perfect.
  5. Embracer bought Gearbox Software three years ago for $1.3 billion. Today, they're selling it to Take Two Entertainment for $460. https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/flagging-megacorp-embracer-group-is-now-selling-off-gearbox-entertainment-to-take-two-for-dollar460-million/ I'm not a business expert or anything like that, but that seems bad.
  6. I know Bobby Bonilla Day isn't until 1 July, but the Mets aren't the only ones still paying Bonilla. He has a second deferred contract with the Orioles that's paying him $500,000 every year until 2029. He's had this deal since 2004. So he hasn't just been getting $1 million every 1 July. . .he's been getting $1.5 million.
  7. Where art thou Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay?
  8. Tonight was a really good episode of Dynamite. Shibata vs. Osprey was what I expected it to be. I still cringe anytime Shibata takes a kick or elbow to the head or just about anything landing on the head, but it was a good match none the less. The Corporate Bucks vs. Private Party was all right. I mean it has to be a given The Bucks will win this tournament (after a low blow no less). Private Party were good as the faces in peril through out the match. The Bucks are just so slimy as heels. They should be even bigger assholes if that's possible. The women's 4 way was good. They went a long way to get Willow the title shot. If I had to guess they are setting up her and Mone at Double or Nothing. Don't know if it will be for the title because Julia is so damn good. I'm torn. I love Willow but at the same time I don't want to see Julia lose. The Kingdom vs. Best Friends was a good match. I knew going in The Kingdom would be losing (they all ready have the ROH Tag titles) so this match was a moot point for me, but i still liked it. On a side note The Undisputed Kingdom really is floundering despite Roderick Strong doing all he can to carry the load with Taven and Bennet. How much longer is Cole supposed to be out for? Wardlow is dead in the water. Amazing how Tony pulled that off. Takeshita vs. Swerve was really good. Takeshita maybe deserved to win this one. I'm sure they could have got Swerve the big title shot at Double or Nothing. But I couldn't believe when he kicked out of the Swerve stomp. Takeshita is just so good. Overall a really good show. It just sucks that it was a 1/3rd full building to see it.
  9. Enjoyed all the matches even with all having mostly obvious outcomes. Ospreay/Shibata was a fun exciting opener. Thought Private Party had their best showing since returning here. I think I liked the women's 4 way the best, that was a blast and Skye looked awesome throughout. Swerve/Takeshita felt pretty epic by the end of it.
  10. The crowd seemed to be pretty hot/warm for being a crowd in a market with a lot of people who don’t speak English, so they did a pretty solid job with Quebec City than they did with places like suburban Salt Lake City
  11. This is why even if the matches have no consequence or whatever, I still enjoy them, and him. It's impossible for me to dislike someone who just gets in the ring and pastes people like that.
  12. Rockets win 10 in a row! Unfortunately the warriors won and the Rockets still half a game out. i love this team
  13. watching the "Two of Hearts" music video and noticing one of Stacey Q's outfits is the yellow polka dots on black outfit that Dusty would get in the WWF a few years later https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfBdGT4dn4E impressive restraint by the WWF/WWE to employ a good chunk of the Hart family and not have some of them teamed up as "Two of Harts" (okay, Vince likely doesn't know who Stacey Q is)
  14. Jesus, I feel like that needs a trigger warning. That poor man. It makes total sense of course, given that face of stone and personality in his films. He had a lot of experience to work with... It would be interesting to compare the torture/execution scenes of Grandier in The Devils and William Wallace in Braveheart. I recall the latter as being pretty nasty as well but of course, Gibson not only got that through the censors but got to go buckwild on Jebus himself afterwards.
  15. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tkj2jXKXpF0 Bryan Danielson (Mr. Small) Package.
  16. That fucking ruled. It’s so crazy. WWE is killing it on stories and in ring segments and backstage stuff and AEW is killing it doing more of a sports style booking and more matches. That’s not to say that WWE’s matches are bad, I don’t care much for the tv style, or that AEW’s stories are poor, but they definitely need more planning and cohesiveness, but it makes for an excellent week of wrestling tv. I swear, Takeshita looks like he murders everyone he faces.
  17. I haven't watched The Silent Partner in years, but remember really liking it. It is also a bit of a curiosity, being an early Canadian attempt at a straight genre film. 1970s Elliott Gould is always worth a watch.
  18. Funny enough Resurrection was on today (and apparently 3 a little later on). I watched a bit of it. Clearly done by the French dude from Delicatessen and City of Lost Children in the visuals, hilarious to see that not only Winona Ryder and Ron Perlman and Brad Dourif but freakin' DAN HEDAYA were camping it up there. I didn't catch the swimming CGI Xenos scene but pretty much got the gist.
  19. and the Chiefs are signing Welsh Rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit to play RB/WR (or, play in kick returns if he sticks)
  20. In an interesting turn of events, Meek Mill is mentioned in one of the P Diddy lawsuits (as Redacted but with a footnote saying something about a rapper from Philly who dated Nicki Minaj). Wonder if they'll have him show up still. Edit: I had details wrong and removed them.
  21. He sounds better than Moz does these days. The Smiths are my favorite band and if Astley did a Smiths cover tour, I'd check it out.
