Dolfan in NYC Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 The Jets are being really non-committal about announcing their starting QB. Zach Wilson is apparently making great progress, so they haven't said Flacco is starting yet. Guess we'll see.
hammerva Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Not only if Trubisky the starting QB for the Steelers but apparently Kenny Pickett is the 3rd QB according to the depth chart. So obviously they are going to let him sit and learn because nobody with a pulse thinks Mason Rudolph is better than Pickett. But he does know the system. 1

I think Rudolph will only be #2 on the chart the first three games or so, I can see Tomlin not wanting to throw Pickett out there mid-game if Trubisky gets hurt. supremebve Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 It's 2022, if you're thinking about starting Joe Flacco over your 2nd year quarterback, you should probably just go ahead and cut him. He ain't good enough. Flacco was bad enough in 2017 that the Ravens drafted a quarterback in the 1st round... it's 5 years later. If Wilson can't beat Flacco out in camp, he isn't an NFL quarterback, that's all I need to know. 1 1

His timetable was about a month, but the Planes seem to think he's doing a lot better. So, yes, there is no planet where Zach isn't starting over Flacco on Week 1 if he isn't hurt.
