And per The Athletic,  the Lakers offered Russ, a 1 in '27, and two 2's to Indiana for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner.

It's unclear if the Pacers laughed hysterically or just hung up the phone.

Allegedly the deal broke down because the Lakers wouldn't throw in their 2029 pick as well.

Which, on one hand, makes sense. LeBron is going to be retired by then, Davis might be, who knows what the Lakers will look like, that could be a very valuable and needed pick.

On the other, you have an aging but still great LeBron James and a potentially still good if he stays healthy Anthony Davis. This is a time to maximize your window and try to get banner #18 before Boston does.

So it's looking possible that the NBA will let players start jumping straight from high school again as soon as 2025.

That sound you hear is every GM who has traded away a 2025 first rounder wailing in anguish about possibly missing out on a double class.

Reportedly Draymond will demand a max contract extension from GS.   (This would roughly be 5/141)

Of note... Draymond is 37.

Draymond is 32.

The NBA is officially investigating the Sixers for possible tampering shenanigans with regards to Tucker, House, and Harden.

Possibly because Woj broke the Tucker signing, with years and dollars, literally one minute into the legal period, the House deal five minutes later, and Harden having possibly already agreed to his new cheaper deal in order to fit two of his former Rockets teammates in under the cap before he had even opted out.

Two high school state championships

 Two college national titles

Eleven NBA championships.

He might not be the best player ever, but he's unquestionably the best winner of all-time

And a hell of a person and activist off the court.

And bet on his own games, he just wins.
