My first was why go with racist POS Josh Hader, but I don't think that's Hader. Is it Burnes? Anyway, high in Chicago today is 45 with rain. Me at 41: I wouldn't go even if I was offered a free ticket. Me at 31: Let's go, the beers will keep us warm.

If I could slap myself from back then I would. 2 4
RIPPA Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Well this might explain some things Apparently Ronald Acuna hated Freddie Freeman (though it more reads like Acuna not liking being treated like a rookie)
Cobra Commander Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Opening day forecast in Kansas City: 48 degrees, 22mph wind from the NW, 18% chance of precipitation. Greinke starts for KC and Bieber for the Gwardians.
RIPPA Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 The Pirates and Ke'Bryan Hayes have agreed to an extension No you read that right. 8 years, $70 million No you read that part right too It is the largest guarantee ever given to a player with between one and two years of service time and it is the largest deal the Pirates have ever given. It runs through 2029 and there is a club option for 2030 1

It sounds like Acuna didn't like being treated like a rookie - if being treated like a rookie includes physically taking a towel and wiping eye black off his face. If Freeman and others did that to him then, yeah, Freeman is an a-hole. 1

RIPPA Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 I didn't realize Clint Frazier had made the Cubs to start the season. A pinch hit double is a nice way to return to baseball after all the shit he dealt with

Dolfan in NYC Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I think by far the worst news of the day is that Shohei Ohtani is now the spokesman for FTX.

SirFozzie Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Joey Votto just set himself up for a couple million dollars as a TV analyst/commentator after he retires. He did a full interview/commentary throughout the bottom of the fourth inning... while playing first base. Especially about asking Albies if he should get a gold or diamond tooth. If you can find the video on this, DO IT. Watch it the whole way through 1
Hail Sabin Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Also find the video of him in a Full Montie outfit during an interview on MLB Network.

John from Cincinnati Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Yeah, he's popped in for a bit of in-studio playoff coverage IIRC.

hammerva Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Damn watching the Nats game last night and Pete Alonso got crushed on a pitch in the head. The protective mask on the helmet probably saved him a broken jaw or much worse
