I once read a Dean Malenko interview in which he said he didn't understand "sports entertainer," because the word "entertainer" made him picture someone with a cane in a top hat.

JAS should do that.

Here me out though: camera cuts, shaky cams and zooms increased 800% during JAS matches while Excalibur extols the virtues of AEW’s next premium live event

feels like JAS should bring in "their own cameramen" for the sake of fairly depicting their matches who can do those things

Oh shit, what is Coachman doing these days? Need him as JAS personal color analyst ASAP to talk about local medical facilities and the JAS Universe while JR is just in full-on grumpy-ass facepalm “what is this shit” mode

Enjoyed the main. I was watching the clock so I could tell that they were likely rushed at the end. But it still delivered and the crowd ate it up. I'm happy to see Rosa get this opportunity. It's crazy that WWE wanted both her and Tasha Steelz as referees and now both are killing it in their respective promotions.

Curious about whether we are going to see alien Statlander fully assimilate as a human now.

And I am so ready for Deeb/Shida!

I like AEW says Thunder Rosa is the fifth AEW Women's World Champion like NJPW lists the number beside the wrestler when the IWGP Heavyweight Championship used to play before said title match. I hate the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

*checks to see if Kevin Kelly was still working for ROH when Tony bought it* (he wasn't)

If Mike Tenay wasn't busy running a Vegas sportsbook, maybe he'd be the special sports entertainment commentator in a role that's the bizarro version of every other role he has ever had as a TV announcer.

Daniel Garcia's soul on a pole match.

Only if they treat it like soap on a rope cuz the beats and the lines are so dope.

(Former) 2.0's ascension has been incredible. Maybe they unseat JX and a Santana/Ortiz feud becomes for the belt?

This would give Jericho a great case to point at his new guys and say "See, I didn't hold you two back from the titles. You failed yourselves."

Probably gonna be the low vote on this but I didn't like the cage match at all. Britt didn't fight back for the about 1/3 of it, work was sloppy and not in a good way, blood was weak sauce (literally -- Rosa should have brought a fork if she wanted more out of Britt because she kept going back to it). It just didn't work for me.

I missed everything up to Wheeler working his way to "next big deal" status which was pretty awesome. The Hardys match had a bonkers crowd reaction and big SPLAT on the finish. Wardlow/Scorpio was full of the typical shenanigans but Old Man Lambert wearing the belt was hilarious. Jericho's group showing up dressed like they just walked out of Kohl's with stuff their mom would clothe them in was inspired, too.

Jericho townhall on point as expected.  Beautiful Daniel Garcia is on his way!  So too Yuta.  Absolutely brilliant storytelling.  Even the Hardys exceeded my lowly expectations.  I thought Matt looked better than he ever has in AEW, and strong debut from Jeff.  The Six man!  The Double Doomsday!  Daddy Magic!  And Baker-Rosa repeat the feat.  So much incredible television.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Isaiah Kassidy.  Just brutal.

They haven't done quite enough to get people over. I've watched most TV since the start. I don't know who the three guys with Jericho other than Jake Hager are. This deal might be doing it now.

You might've missed the one where Garcia just main evented vs Danielson three weeks ago

I recommend Don Callis, and annoying ass Matt Striker as JAS’s personal commentary.

I like it. Jericho bangs on truths about his career and other real life stuff, yet heels with it, leaning in to everyone's hatred of the Town Hall shit and Vince. Puts another new set of young guys up to get the rub when they were getting ran over before. Changes his attire yet again. He really might be one of the smartest and most inventive guys ever.

If Matt Striker shows up in any way... FFS just keep him away from a mic, at least.

EDIT: Oh, and the one person who didn't go by their real name? Chris Jericho.

I guess that that kind of started it. To me it was Bryan against someone. This is part two of me getting to like him.

Lambert wearing that big old belt looked hilarious on his old man frame.

Scorpio holding the title as an inevitable loser has tons of appeal, in my opinion. It's exactly what I was hoping for since he won the title. His ring-side goons are terrific.

I liked the sloppy feel of the main-event. I don't think they should have made it look any prettier. The finish was uncomplicated but satisfying. I think it'll get better on repeated viewings.

Jeff Hardy can't land on his back for a swanton anymore, can he? Love to see him bombing now that he's bigger than ever, but ouch for his opponents.

Great show with a pretty awesome hot crowd. Excellent opener, loved the triple moonsaults and double doomsday. Wheeler Yuta impressing with Fighting Spirit!

Nice FTR/Bucks bit, still hope Tully comes back around in another role. Loved the Swerve/Starks tease, they work well together so I'm definitely down for more from them.

Wardlow/Sky was good with the predictable ending. Absolutely massive pops for Wardlow almost getting a hold of MJF. Sad that Punk didn't make the save for Wardlow to sort of return the favor.  Fun return for the Hardyz. Last week the Masked Singer was also using the Hardyz theme, the same night it debuted in AEW.

Another epic main event from Thunder & Britt. Thought it started a little slow but definitely picked up towards the end. When Rosa's special entrance started, I almost thought she was gonna use her old Selena theme music. Great match even with the timing issues in the end and a great moment with Thunder's win feeling properly special. Perfect St Patricks Day Slam set up from one year to the next.  Also, Britt's Scott Hall tribute gear ruled!

Oh, he landed on his back alright, but apparently he can't land on his hips or ass anymore.

Okay here is the question we had in the Discord chat. Was the band that introduced Rosa (which was AWESOME btw) a Norteno/Nortena band? They didn't have an accordion so probably not. Was it Texano, especially given her background? Was it just mariachi? Enquiring minds want to know.

And one of the Acclaimed dudes saying about Swerve "Isn't he a rapper?" was a perfect diss, especially from a bad rapper.
