I agree with the general sentiment. I wouldn't be booking him in matches for no reason. I'd have him involved in something. Just boggles my mind that he's been in three bouts since BFG and zero this year. Was just wondering if there were rumours circulating that I wasn't privy to. Speaking of booking him in a match for no reason, it's fun to remember his last match was himself, JE, and the Lucha Bros vs FTR and the HFO. Yeah, not too long ago, I took a rather long hike on Brian Cage and there was no indication of any trouble. (I mean, some backne and gyno obviously, but those were only in places you'd expect them to be, so I wasn't alarmed) And if losing Cody comes with the possibility of getting Buddy Matthews in his place, that is a trade I'm willing to make. Another recent addition that's not on the site is Lucha Bros and Fuego so I'll be wearing the Penta mask for sure. On top of the AEW wrestlers they announced so far they also announced motherfucking MENG will be there.
