2022 NFL OFFSEASON

This table is an interesting read as it shows how much the 5th year option is for each player, and why.

https://overthecap.com/fifth-year-option-projections/

Also shows that of all 1st round draft picks in 2019, five have made at least one pro bowl while 11 haven't met the "play time" requirement to reach the next tier of money. Doesn't seem like the ideal ratio for the 1st round. Drafting is hard.

I'm sure today is going to be plenty busy with teams patching those final holes they need, here's who's left out there:

https://overthecap.com/free-agency/

Still some decently big names still out there.

Miami's apparently kicking the tires on Akiem Hicks and Carlos Dunlap, as they still have $20m or so left to spend.

I have no problem with Tannehill saying that.  He's obviously not going to refuse to help the guy or decline to answer questions or whatever.  He's just not going to do the whole "take him under my wing so he can take my job" thing.

The Raiders will not be picking up the 5th year options on any of their 2019 first round selections (DE Cle Ferrell, RB Josh Jacob, S Johnathan Abram)

Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden everybody!

I'm kind of surprised by Jacobs. He's a great RB when healthy.

Ehh.  I liked Jacobs and all.  But "great" is a stretch.  He is fine.

It's the "when healthy" PLUS the price tag part that made not picking up the option a no-brainer, actually.

And the game in Mexico will be San Fran vs Arizona because the NFL is not creative

That game will be 11/21/22

To be totally fair, they're probably not selling 50,000+ seats for Jacksonville/Indianapolis or whatever.

Neither is ours ... but he's got a long neck.

Browns QB ... what a sexual deviant ... hope he gets suspended 2 years like Trevor Bauer
