Why does it seem like every year after Royal Rumble, the fans are at their most disappointed at the booking/ overall quality? Every year WWE seems to fuck it up. Sometimes they correct it by Wrestlemania, sometimes they don't, but fucking up Royal Rumble seems to be the rule rather than the exception!

With 2018 being the exception where they actually gave the fans Rumble winners they wanted in Nakamura and Asuka and then fucking up Wrestlemania by having them both lose.

I'd say both 2018 Royal Rumble matches were the last truly great ones. Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura stupidly lost at WrestleMania XXXIV. Wrong that, ditto Roman Reigns losing to Brock Lesnar.

Sometimes they get it backwards.

PWI is reporting the original winner of the Men's Rumble was booked to be Riddle.

That would have been interesting. Soon as Brock came out everyone knew he was winning. Up until that moment there was at least some mystery of who could win. Only thing that would have sucked is it would mean the end of RKBro. Randy putting up with Riddle's goofiness is just so much fun. I don't want that to end.

Feels like that would've at least come off like a 'new star making moment' if they went that route.

Sounds like there's still at least some consideration of doing another title change in the Chamber and running Riddle/Orton at Mania for the title.

I haven't watched WWE since they debuted "The Viking Experience", but I decided to give both rumbles chance since I have Peacock anyway. I think there was one point in the men's rumble where they changed camera angles like 15 times in 20 seconds and I was like "Yup, I can go right back to ignoring this shit"

Was this as tough to watch as 1999-2000 WCW was?

99-00 WCW was worse because the guys they weren't pushing (Benoit, Jericho) were more talented than the WWE undercard, and more importantly SUPER OVER DESPITE BEING BURIED (unlike the WWE crew), and also  the guys on top in WCW were literally some of the worst wrestlers who have ever lived (Nash, Sid), whereas Brock and Roman and Charlotte are talented just boring.

Read this in the voice of, like, Renee Zellwegger at the Oscars reading the list of nominees for Best Producing achievement in the category of Sports Entertainment/Pornography, but also replace every other match with the title of a Porn film.

The Nominees are:

Spoiler

- Michael Hayes and petey Williamson for the Universal Championship Match between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns (Wrestling)

- Finlay, Shane Helms, Molly Holly, Pat Buck, and Michael Hayes for Cum Showered SLuts Volume 73. (Porn)

- Pat Buck and Shawn Daivari for the Raw Women's Championship Match between Becky Lynch and Doutrop (Wrestling)

- Michael Hayes and Jason Jordan for the Raw Dog Feature Black Bulls/White Stallions Vol. 145 starring Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley (Porn)

- Adam Pearce and Kenny Dyskstra for Edge and Beth Phoenix vs. The Miz & Maryse in MILF Swap (Either/Both/None)

- Abyss, Jamie Noble, Shawn Daivari, and Adam Pearce in the Men's Royal Rumble Match (Softcore)

oh there will be a change alright. Brock will win the Chamber to have the title vs title Mania match.  He wouldn't have brought it up tonight if they weren't going to do it.  Maybe they can go back to one brand and intermix talent.

I was trying to update my friend on the comings and going’s of the women’s rumble and it took about 10 hard cam shots for me to determine there were 8 women left in the ring. I couldn’t count to 8 that fast.

I'm guessing Roman will cost Brock once again. Meltzer seemed adamant after Day 1 that they were not going to do title vs title, hence Brock losing it already. I figure it only came up here as an excuse to put Brock in there since it's SaudiMania.

Even then - Ronda overshadowing Asuka was tagged as 'peak white feminism' and I didn't have much to dispute it.
