I described it as that one fight scene from They Live but with modern MMA fighting techniques that was more mob fights than T&A fan service.

I know I read someplace that the creator of the show was a big fan of They Live, so there ya go.

Such a good show.

"Oh yeah, I just blew up your fucking truck."

Tom Pelphrey as the reformed Neo Nazi turned deputy was amazing.  "Now I know my appearance may be somewhat unsettling."

The aforementioned Nola/Burton fight around, on top of, and through a parked car that ended with some Mortal Kombat shit.

An incredible show.  The final season, with its abrupt serial killer subplot, was weird.  But I can probably count the number of shows that didn't get a little dodgy at the end on one hand.  The whole show is worth the ride.

Banshee's fight scenes might be some of the most brutally violent things I've seen on screen that didn't come out of Indonesia.

Right?  It helps if you go into it understanding that it's supposed to be over the top.  My wife and I watched it and I think we realized it around episode 4.  In ep3, Hood has a fight with an actual MMA fighter and ends up maiming the guy and we were both like, "man, this is a bit much."  Then, when there was another ridiculous fight in the next episode, it hit us.

Wrestling related content: CJ Perry is in episode 6!

Really late to the game as it is a few years old but I just started watching Feud: Bette and Joan about all of the drama involving in the making of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane and the intense hatred between Betty Davis and Joan Crawford, the crappy way (GASP!) Hollywood treats women of a certain age and a lot more. It's SO friggin' good.

If you want totally brutal(without ANY visuals) go and listen to Ep. 74(Rulo, NE) of the Small Town Murder podcast and do a personality inventory of yourself after it is over. One of the must brutal things I have ever :LISTENED to(that includes A LOT of brutal shit).

Zellner mentioning the "Mr. First Name" Southernism on Between the Sheets this week (or last week?) helped prepare me for the use of the title "Mr. Butt-Head" in the Old Beavis and Butthead episode for this week

Like aside from the Fire episode, the B&B season is going reasonably well. Especially when you remember it's not supposed to have episode to episode continuity, dumbass.

Don't ask how they're able to access enough of the Internet to see YouTube videos but not enough of it to be looking at porn constantly. Unless they're watching Internet videos off of a TBD affiliate or something. (or Dabl, since it's owned by Paramount)

I just saw Paul Reuben turned 70 yrs old today.  Makes me feel old.

One of the only male celebs to be cancelled for keeping his hands to himself.  (and Pre-Twitter too!)

He was never actually cancelled though. He wasn't the lead in big budget films but, outside of Pee-wee, he wasn't going to be anyway. He was still cast in films and television projects between his arrest and the "big comeback" in Blow. Even his second arrest, which on it's surface was far more serious, didn't manage to end his career.

But anyway Happy Belated Birthday Pee-wee, you magnificent bastard!

Catchy theme song and fuck I'l be that guy  Pee Wee's Big Adventure> Big Top Peewee

Whoa, whoa, whoa.  Big Top is nowhere near as good as Big Adventure.  It's not even close.  I don't think that's a remotely controversial statement you're making there.

Michael Fishman, who played D.J. on Roseanne/The Conners, will not be returning for Season 5 of The Conners

He was barely in Season's 1-4.  Out of all of them, his character seem to have their shit together the most and wasn't living in the house.
