Matt D
I'm not rewatching either Lost or GoT any time soon. I do think the payoffs are more tangible in Game of Thrones. A lot of what happens over the last couple of episodes tends to be logical and reasonable and even maybe the path of least resistance or what "has" to happen. It's just entirely unsatisfying. But then Ned dying in the first season because it's what has to happen in this world is unsatisfying in a lot of ways too, so who knows. How I Met Your Mother is the show with rewatch value that I'm never watching again, but some of it is aging out of it.

And 100% something people figured out from the books ages ago, so many of us were ready for them to just say it already. Re: ER, I got bogged down in season seven and needed to take a break. People aren't kidding when they say there's some rough years in the middle there.
RIPPA
It has been forever and I would have to go back and look when I fell off of ER It was definitely around the time were regulars were bailing left and right. When did the dude lose his hand in the helicopter blade? For some reason I think it was around then.

I know any TV show or movie where someone in DC says, "let's go to Quantico and talk to the FBI guys," and then get there and aren't pissed off and disheveled, it takes me out of the movie for a minute. On any given day, that drive can be one of the most miserable experiences on earth. Similar to that is complete geographic fuckups or just not knowing the area they're talking about. I remember watching Homeland and there was some deal where they had to rush to find someone who was "at a rest stop off 270." I live just off one of 270's exits. I've driven the entire length of that interstate, from the DC beltway to Frederick. I can confidently tell you that 270 has no rest stops. I've driven all 270 at least 100 times and that would have jumped out to me as well. I drive from Virginia to Ohio and back multiple times a year and I used to date a girl who lives in Germantown, so I'm very familiar with that drive. If I had to vote on the most miserable stretches of road in the entire DC metro area, 270 and 66 are probably running neck and neck for the #1 spot and that is fighting through a lot of competition.
odessasteps
I went out of my way this summer when I drove to Tennessee to avoid the DC Beltway and 66.

Yeah man, both of those roads are trash. And there are no rest stops on 270 because it's only like 35 miles long and damn near every exit leads someplace where there's plenty of stuff. You only get rest stops on like 95 where there's just large, endless swaths of nothing.

John from Cincinnati
We may have reached peak Succession. Quote Call it now: “Succession” will win the DGA Award this year for drama. That’s because it’s the only nominee this year for drama: Five episodes of the series’ third season filled all five nominated slots for this year’s DGA Awards category for dramatic series. https://variety.com/2022/tv/awards/directors-guild-tv-awards-nominations-2022-succession-1235163574/

I’m sure Matt can tell you all about those stops, espcially the one between Aberdeen and Bel Air. if only they still had Roy Rogers, like the PA Turnpike rest stops. LoneWolf&Subs
Watching Once Upon a Time In Hollywood on FX. They left in all the f-bombs. I guess standards, and practice are non existent anymore.

Casey
Update on my ER watch: couldn't even make it past the pilot episode, it's so fucking dull. I think I'll just watch Fringe or something.

I think I'll just watch Fringe or something. Yes! Watch Fringe! I will only say that the first half or so of the first season is just merely OK until you get to the episode where at the end John Noble is reading either a book or his notes or something that makes reference to something really wild. I don't want to spoil what that is, but it's a taste of things to come. Fringe is one of my favorite sci-fi series that I'm shocked, SHOCKED was allowed to do everything it did on network TV AND it was on Fox AND Fox allowed them to have one final season so they could have an ending. It's a series that for all intents and purposes should never have continued beyond season 1, and Fox gave them 5 seasons. Honestly, the biggest downside to Fringe is that it's one of the last holdovers of how TV used to be, where 4 of the 5 seasons have more than 20 episodes each. Fringe, like Lost, if it were made today with season orders of no more than 13 episodes, would probably be some of the best TV ever.

Technico Support
Anybody watching Archive 81 on Netflix? It's creepy and awesome.
Craig H
I'll have to put that on the list since my wife is into that stuff. Speaking of creepy and awesome, my wife and I have started watching Yellowjackets. Two episodes in and this thing is awesome. Christina Ricci is so delightfully crazy. Other than her 10 seconds in the Matrix Resurrections, I don't think I've seen her in anything since Black Snake Moan. She used to be one of my favorite actors and then she seemingly just disappeared. It's a real joy to see her in this. I've also been a big fan of Melanie Lynskey for what seems like forever and she's really great in this too. I wish she would get more work, but part of me worries that based on her age and that she isn't model skinny that she gets overlooked for a lot of stuff. Juliette Lewis, someone I typically can't stand, is a lot of fun to watch too. I don't want to get into the story too much, but it's pretty cool and intense.
