Has there been any word one way or the other about Legends getting another season? Not sure where else they can go with the story and characters at this point. This season has been the best in years, and feels like a nice high note to leave on.

No word yet, but since Donald Faison has been cast as possibly a certain time traveling character, I'm thinking we get another season.

When your show can be literally anything and isn't beholden to any sort of established lore, you can keep the thing going for a while.

Legends is like having a really fun Batman show set around a Jose Andres type celebrity baker who somehow fights crime by baking cookies in bat shapes. That's how beholden to the source material it is.

Legends season finale was overall fantastic. It's been known that Faison was going to debut as Booster Gold and yet it felt like a surprise thanks to " The Hotstepper!"

Nick Zano's exit was sweet. I thought they might kill him off and I'm so glad they didn't. But.

Mustard gas melted Steel's steel? So all this time Nate didn't turn INTO steel, his pores excreted a steel covering that is only vulnerable to fucking mustard gas? Fuck off, Phil Klemmer. That stunk.

The mustard gas thing really did feel cheap, but overall I was happy with how they handled his exit. The show has gotten really good at giving their people nice sendoffs. Was this the best season of the show since like, season 2 or 3? It sure felt like it.

Matt Reeves says that the Gotham PD series that was going to be on HBO Max has evolved into centering on “the world of Arkham."

Quote

“The GCDP thing, that story has kinda evolved,” Reeves revealed. “We’ve actually now [moved] more into the realm of exactly what would happen in the world of Arkham as it relates coming off of our movie, and some of the characters…it’s like a horror movie or a haunted house that is Arkham.”

He continued, “The idea, again the way that Gotham is a character in the movie, I really want Arkham to exist as a character. You go into this environment and encounter these characters in a way that feels really fresh. And so in our work on Gotham, that story started to evolve, and it started feeling [like], ‘Wait, we should really lean into this.’ And then that’s kinda where that’s gone.”

Well that sounds well less interesting. I wanted Gotham PD to do what GOTHAM should have done.

According to Variety, Olivia Rose Keegan (Days of Our Lives), Navia Robinson (Raven’s Home), and Oscar Morgan (Masters of the Air) have been tapped for series regular roles in The CW’s upcoming Gotham Knights pilot, which is expected to begin its production this April. They will be joining previously announced cast members Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara, who are set to play the respective roles of siblings Harper and Cullen Row.

The new cast members’ official character descriptions are listed below:

Keegan’s Duela – Described as abrasive, unpredictable, and a little unhinged, this version of Duela Dent is, above all, a survivor. Born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father – the most dangerous man in Gotham – Duela forged herself into a brutal fighter and skilled thief. In the comics, she’s known for using a number of different aliases, most notably as Joker’s Daughter.
Robinsons’ Carrie Kelley – is famously known as the first female Robin in the comics. Fearless, idealistic, and plucky as hell, Carrie talked her way into being Batman’s unlikely sidekick. If there’s a burning building or a person in need, she’s the first to rush in. Just as long as she’s home by curfew.
Morgan’s Turner Hayes – Despite the murder of his biological parents, Turner remains resilient and driven to live up to his billionaire adoptive father’s name. While charming and soulful, Turner has never quite felt comfortable in this world of wealth and privilege.

The live-action Gotham Knights pilot is written and executive produced by Batwoman writers Natalie Abrams (Supergirl, All American) and Chad Fiveash & James Stoteraux (The Vampire Diaries, Gotham), based on the DC Comics characters that were created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.

“In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader,” reads the synopsis. “And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.”

It is said to not be a spin-off to the network’s Javicia Leslie-led Arrowverse series, nor will it tie into the upcoming Gotham Knights video game developed by WB Games Montreal.
