Both are really horrible!  Neither lets you create a watchlist or implements "continue watching" in any meaningful way, if at all.

I haven't used IWTV in a while, but I recently resubbed Highspots for PWG.  Their iOS app is terrible.  Can't skip forward or back 10-30 seconds, FFWD and rewind is a finger-dragging guesswork shitshow.  No Apple TV app.  Their Roku app was just the same template that a ton of the bottom of the barrel free apps use.  If you browse a promotion's shows, they're in no type of order.  Highspots farms it out to Pivotshare, which is essentially "Squarespace, but for VOD."  It's a company who will build a streaming platform for you with the least amount of effort or care.  It sucks.  The best way to use Highspots at all is via a browser, so the only way I can watch on my living room TV is via Edge on my Xbox.  Lord, what a mess.

I know neither Highspots nor IWTV has Netflix money but it's 2022 now and since we all typically use many different platforms daily with worlds better interface and user experience, their drawbacks are just glaring.

That sucks. I just popped in here to see if anyone had opinions on iwtv. I'm trying to find a way to watch H2O since one of my co-workers works there as Johnny Radex. He just worked a match with Tremont last month. Apparently Masha Slamovich works there too sometimes. I wanted to check it out.

I mean it’s fine.  Don’t let me warn you off.  It’s just that, in a world where we have so many streaming services with intuitive interfaces with features we’ve come to expect (like “add to my list”), these apps are glaringly lacking.

The roku app was pretty bad too. Loved iwtv as a service, but it was such a pain to navigate. The continue watching section on the main page would only include recently released cards. I was doing a rewatch of Chikara, so to get to back to where I was I would have to go to Promotions, scroll until I found Chikara (you cannot change the order of the Promotions on the Roku app, it's always listed as whatever had the most recent cards added at the top), scroll from the most recent season until I found the one I wanted, scroll through that season to find the card I left on and hope that it remembered where I left off (it wouldn't always). Total first world problem, but a serious pain in the ass.

Other than that, I highly recommend iwtv, lol. Watched so many shows that I wouldn't have otherwise thought of, let alone had access too.

Uuuugggghhhhh

I haven't used iwtv in a while, but I remember "Continue Watching" for me being limited to a set number of shows and not cycling itself.  Like I'd finish watching something and it wouldn't clear out of the list, and then once the list was "full," nothing else would go in it.  There was also no way to manage the list or clear it out.  To make matters worse, if you clicked a show to continue, it would start back from the beginning anyway.  OH and the list would be different between my Roku TV and my iPhone.  Sometimes one would update and the other wouldn't.  Wow.

We just need Tony Khan to sweep in, buy both services, and put some real money into them.  I'd happily pay $15 a month if I could get both services' content on one app that actually worked. ?

This is XPW?

As an angsty preteen in the early 2000s, I loved XPW. It was my replacement for ECW since I missed out on their run except for their TNN show. I was probably the world's biggest Damien Steele fan in like 2002 when I got my first XPW show on VHS from OnCue.

But this is 2022, and Rob Black is a piece of shit of the highest order. Hopefully these women are treated with the respect they deserve as humans, and as wrestlers, but XPW doesn't have a great track record in the past of doing that (granted they never had a real women's division, just did the catfight bullshit between pornstars like Kristi Myst or Lizzie Borden or Jessica Darlin).

I won't be giving him my money, but if I happen to find this show for free somewhere, I'll give it a watch. But I don't know what XPW in 2022 brings to the table that a promotion like GCW doesn't provide everyone, and does it better.

Star studded! I love seeing Sage Sin in the mix with some of the top names in the biz. Definitely want to catch this.

Does Rob Black still own it?  If so, this is just weird.

Yes. Black still owns it and started it back up a year ago.  Brian Cage is the champ.   Somehow he bought it back a few years ago after having to sell it before his year in Federal Prison.  The launch was basically capitalizing on the Dark Side of the Ring episode.

Let's pivot back to women's wrestling, but nothing involving Rob Black:

You have my attention...

Is Miyu Yamashita hanging around until July?  Awesome!  Is she wrestling in AEW too?

WWE and TNA have both failed to sell out the Motorpoint Arena in the past. And the TNA show had Hulk Hogan in a match, and tickets on sale for like 11 months before it happened. So not sure that you'll do well booking it with three weeks notice, and only three names announced (one of whom is a manager).

Like, hopefully for the AoP's sake they've found a money mark, and they aren't using their own money. Unless they're actually arseholes, in which case that would be funny.

I cannot get in to Warhorse. Like, okay, you love metal. What else do you have? Oh yeah, you walk slowly around the ring headbanging to harness your fighting spirit. Nothing he does in-ring makes me believe in him, and his double-foot dropkick he does off the ropes is the goddamn thigh-slappingest strike I've ever seen a pro wrestler throw.

He's all character, which he admittedly has nailed down, but I don't find any of his humor engaging enough to make up for the very pedestrian in-ring work.

Alexander hemmed him up real good there, though. So that's a bonus.

He reminds me of Jimmy Jacobs early gimmick, if Jacobs was imitating The Ultimate Warrior instead of The Berzerker and wasn't nearly as good.
