The Natural Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 The shortlist for the biggest prize: I think it's really poor. Raheem Sterling? Bollocks. My six: Emma Raducanu. Tyson Fury. Bethany Shriever winning the Olympic and World BMX titles in the same year doing that through her own crowdfunding. Mark Cavendish coming back to equal the record of Tour de France stage wins. Joe Root carrying the England batting team, most runs scored in England Tests in a single year. Jason Kenny or Laura Kenny with the most Olympic Gold Medals for male/female. I wish they'd bring back the bigger list made up of ten nominees.
Happ Hazzard Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Fury is definitely worth a bet at 50-1. 1

I'd be very surprised if Raducanu doesn't win. Only the fourth qualifier to reach the semi-finals of a Grand Slam and the first to win one, the US Open. Emma didn't drop a set. A 44 year wait for a British women's Grand Slam singles champion ended. Amazing achievement. I still think the shortlist is shit.
Dewar Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Canadian Emma wins. Surprised there are not more Olympians nominated. 1
