It really is something that Mel Tucker is being paid $2 million more a year than Harbaugh (even with Sparty having beaten the Wolverines)

Eh... not really

Tucker's base salary is $5.9 million then they through in a lot of shit

Harbaugh's base salary is the aforementioned $7.09 million

The bonuses I could find for each are...

Tucker

Quote

MSU and Tucker agreed to terms, the coach will make $5.9 million in base salary, $3.1 million in media appearances, $100,000 from school-negotiated apparel and a $400,000 annual retention bonus.

Harbaugh

Quote

Harbaugh will receive $500,000 if Michigan wins the Big Ten East and plays in the conference championship game. He will receive $1 million if the Wolverines win the Big Ten title. He can earn an additional million if the team wins the national title. Harbaugh would receive $200,000 for an appearance in a New Year's Six bowl that's not a CFP semifinal, and $500,000 for a semifinal appearance.

So clearly Harbaugh is also making media and apparel bonuses too

And the law suits have begun

Marshall is suing Conference USA to be able to leave this summer as Conference USA is pretending nothing is happening and released a schedule for next season that includes Marshall, OSU and Southern Miss (all schools that are leaving)

Basically the big fight is that Conference USA is saying that their bylaws state that a school must give 14 months notice of leaving.  However, Marshall's argument is that when they joined Conference USA in 2003 that bylaw didn't exist so they don't have to follow it. (They are also fighting over arbitration etc..)

What it really is is that Conference USA is refusing to negotiate with Marshall who has been trying to come to an agreement to leave early (aka pay money).

Good luck with that logic.  Presumably, Marshall signed the bylaws when they were passed post-2003 which would certainly seem to imply that Marshall was agreeing to abide by them.

Does this mean that I only have to follow laws on the books at the time I was born, and nothing passed after that date?

Of course!  Isn't it obvious?!?

It says something about Baylor that Art Briles is probably only the third-biggest piece of shit to work there in the 21st century.

How fucking stoked do you think Grambling is that a war started so they could dump this news?

I know their basketball coach tried to cover up a murder, but the sheer number of Briles’ covered-up crimes (which extend beyond the dozens of rapes) and total lack of contrition is sociopathic. I won’t spend a dime in Waco or McClennan County since they were complicit as well.

San Francisco 49ers assistant Rich Scangarello has agreed to a three-year contract to become offensive coordinator for the Kentucky Wildcats, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Friday.

Scangarello, 49, spent last season as the 49ers' quarterbacks coach -- his second stint with the team -- after stops with the Philadelphia Eagles and Denver Broncos, with whom he served as offensive coordinator in 2019.

Hue Jackson's says you can't talk about Art Briles' past because it "might re-traumatize the victims"

Not the hiring of Briles mind you - just pointing out what a shitbag he is

Get bent Hue

Conference USA and Old Dominion, Marshall and Southern Miss finally agreed to a separation agreement and the 3 schools will officially join the Sun Belt on July 1

Quote

This means that Conference USA will play with 11 members next season. A schedule to reflect the league's new structure is expected to be released soon.

Sources told ESPN that the odd number of programs has prompted the league to petition the NCAA for health and safety reasons to play two football games in Week 0 in 2022. Because of the odd number of teams, there's a fear too many in the league would have to play for more than two months consecutively without a bye. Playing in Week 0 would help space that out.
