THE FINAL HALLOWEEN HAVOC (2021) Setup Thread

RIPPA

Recommended Posts

You can see how it is going when @Execproducer had to remind me that it was even October.

Anyway - final time into the breech

Let me know if you are in and I will need selections fairly quickly after to give folks plenty of time to watch. And if we don't get enough people we will punt.

I will punt the movies that have been picked before in a different post.

I'm in, although I think that in the future we may just be better off doing our own individual projects in the Horror Movies thread.  I think we're gearing up to talk about the sleaziest horror films ever made.

I carried Wong Fei Hung on my shoulder for 3 or 4 reviews straight so you can just fuck right off.

I'll have my pick soon.  I need to review the list during a time where my boss isn't bending my ear off about these fucking IAVAs.

I'm in. Is @Brian Fowler not doing these anymore?

It just got to be not fun for me to run it anymore. I love it as an idea, and, who knows, maybe I'll try again at some point in the future.

Did we do one at all last year? Between my stepdad dying and then the pandemic coming right after it, that year is a blur.

We did. You picked The Slumber Party Massacre and reviewed Prince of Darkness. All things considered, it was a really good Havoc.

The whole issue is participation. I plead with everyone, lets keep this alive. There are enough of us willing to run it we just need participants. It's kind of like the Xmas spirit, only ours has three heads with one being a pumpkin, another a skull and another Satan.

Timeline is a little tight this year because I will actually be in New York Halloween weekend so theoretically I want to be done by the 29th (I can dream I know)

State participation and selection - Sunday, Oct 10 (So I can give people their movies on the 11th)

I want to start posting stuff ASAP so bonus stuff and early movie returns are appreciated

I will have a pick for you NLT next Wednesday.  Got a lot of shit on my plate this week and I'm headed to South Carolina this weekend to attend my goddaughter's wedding.

*Shakes fist in old man*

If necessary I will just take your movie and give you my selection but let's see how everything shakes out

Well, thanks to UPS, we received the revised IAVAs today rather than next Monday so I can start installations for this dumb integration event and hopefully this asshole software tester over in Combat Development will shut the fuck up.

I'll have a pick to you by tomorrow afternoon.

Fuck it.  I found a good choice and already ran it past Rippa, so for this one time during The Spooky Month, I'm tossing my hat in the ring.  Plus there are loads of horror movies I haven't seen that would qualify for my daily watching foolishness.
