Is that just something footballers say? Because I've never heard anyone in my life refer to something bad happening as being like a holocaust, but Joey Barton also used the phrase the other week.

Just those two as I've never had anyone in my life call something bad as like a holocaust.

Amazing.

The halftime show on the Football Weekly live stream was Steve Claridge eating fruit for 15 minutes.

Was he either a) In the back, or b) being cool?

He was 70. RIP.

Just reading over his wikipedia and this quote from Bob Paisley really emphasizes how important he was to those great '70s Liverpool teams.

Quote

"Ray's contribution to Liverpool's achievements was enormous and his consistency remarkable. So much so, in fact, that on the rare occasions he missed a match his absence was felt deeply simply because he was a midfield power house with tremendous vision and knowledge of the game... In my view he was one of Liverpool's greatest players and probably the most underrated."

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang isn't in the squad for today's match with rumours aplenty of a bust up in training.

Asked why his striker is missing out Arteta said: "Unfortunately, due to a disciplinary breach.

"I think we have been very consistent, there are non-negotiables we have set as a club and I think we have been very consistent."

The Arsenal boss was then quizzed on the possible length of time Aubameyang could be out. Arteta replied: "It starts today.

"Certainly it's not an easy situation and not a situation we want."

Aubameyang's a dickhead. Get rid.
