According to Twitter (with a supporting video), Keith Lee was announced was Keith "BEARCAT" Lee tonight.

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCK.

Did they hire Bill Watts as the new nickname consultant?

Edit: here's the video

Bearcat Lee…Crews running around with a spear…I thought it was supposed to be AEW setting the business back decades.

Apparently -

There was also Bearcat Brown, who was famous for tagging with Len Rossi.

That said, how about naming a motherfucker Sugar Bear like pre Kamala Jim Harris? It's also slightly less dated.

I'd be afraid that Vince and Bruce would make someone named Sugar Bear into the next Godfather.

That's what I was insinuating in the first place. I want full on Willie Dynamite garb.

At this point in his career, would many people be excited about Chris Hero as a mystery partner.  Dude was in a lot of matches, angles, & feuds I liked during the 2000's, but his last prominent run was probably his Kings of Wrestling tag team with Claudio (tiny trunks edition, after they both thankfully lost their supply of baggy transhbag pants).

Claudio signed with WWE in 2011 and Hero has been basically invisible since.  Almost literally, since he signed with WWE and spent most of that time off tv.  Ten years is a long time to be gone from the indy scene. I kinda wonder how well fans going to indie shows this year remember him.

He had a pretty hyped indy run in between his 2 NXT runs. Particularly in PWG and Evolve.

AEW announced a partnership with the Owen Hart foundation. So they'll be making official Owen Hart merch, action figures, and he'll be in the videogames. And they're doing an annual Owen Hart tournament where the winner gets a trophy called The Owen.

Should do a Brodie Lee Memorial Big Rig tournament all super heavyweights, 205lbs minimum make a big deal about the weight ins

One more painful reminder that Arn Anderson is not, at all, my dad.

Just give me John Silver getting up to all kinds of shenanigans trying to make weight so he can win it for Brodie and I'm in.

The coat thing is the old Stanley Ketchel trick, which is hilarious cause the heavyweight du jour for that era was usually between probably 180 and 190 pounds when he did it.

I want that but with the Bishop Sycamore vs. IMG Academy twist where the commentators are nothing but confused and baffled.

JR: We have unverified reports that John Silver is now 6'7" and 278 lbs. Again, we could not verify this information. We didn't get this stuff from Reuters, folks.
